Wonderful! Nothing overly sweet and messy. The berry filling is so good and plenty of it. Boston cream filled yum. The maple icing was not too sweet but a perfect balance. NOT GREASY! The donuts hold no grease. Sugar donuts good. Donut holes had a light glaze instead of the thick icing everyone else uses. Wish we had one in Southern Utah. read more

Oh my donut! We expected to grab a standard maple or pink frosted, but were blown away. Maple came in light or dark, ours was light and delish. And instead of pink frosted, we opted for chocolate frosted honey nut. A wise choice! We were too late for fritters, so we'll have to come back. read more

This spot was super cute, the staff was so friendly and the donuts were delicious. I definitely recommend stopping in if you like donuts. I ordered the chocolate frosted with sprinkles and an Oreo topping donut to eat. The Oreo donut was my favorite. The donuts were excellent churro are great. The only thing that I can say that negative about was the cashier the owner son that was working behind the counter that day he was not very pleasant didn't act like he didn't want to be there which I can understand that being a teenager but still, you don't have to take it out on your customers His dad, the owner he was excellent very pleasant. Very nice. He had smile on his face very pleasant maybe it was just his son being a teenager you know so I don't wanna give us a bad review just because of that just maybe his dad can maybe be have a talk with him about being a little bit more pleasant to the customers but overall the place was nice. We got to powder day around 8am and they were still cranking out fresh donuts! Said the bulk of the variety would come out around 8:30 but we wanted to get to the mountain to ski! The maple bacon was so good! Bacon chopped small which made for an easy bite but a tad messy. 2 Donuts, 1 maple and 1 apple fritter = $6.50 for TWO donuts. Apple fritter was dry and tasted like it's been on the rack for weeks. I do not recommend going here prices high and flavor low, VERY low All I wanted was a donut and coffee for my drive out of town. The coffee was good, I made it myself and probably saved $5.00 the donut was thrown out the window, probably still there I believe even starving wild animals wouldn't eat that nasty thing. I'm not a fan of Starbucks but for those prices I should have gone, at least I would know what I'm getting. Don't go to Powder day. Donuts read more

AMAZING! I am not a huge donut person but had a hankering while in the Boat. I came here and wasn't disappointed. The owner is so sweet! He ended up giving me a few extras just because. I had my chocolate cake donut and like 10 mins later, I had to come back to get more LOL We got here around 10 but they do sell out so don't wait too long! Was in the area for work and I had a mishap with a tire earlier in the week that a coworker helped with so decided to bring donuts in for everyone and they were a hit to say the least! This spot is super good! They have excellent staff who are warm and welcoming even really early in the morning. Their fruity pebbles donut is my hands down favorite and made me feel pure nostalgia. The doughs consistency and texture was uncanny and the marshmallow glaze really did something special with the crunch of the fruity pebbles. The peanut butter made me wanna scream of happiness and eat 5 more. Even though I didn't, I did a full Homer Simpson's drool pre and post donuts! "GAAHHHH DONUTS." What a delightful place to walk into! We were immediately attracted out by the big donut out from (a big sign). They had a large variety of donuts and the man behind the counter( presumably the owner) was very knowledgeable about all the types of donuts. I ended up getting a pink glazed with sprinkles- which I believe to be strawberry. It was delicious and fresh. You can tell this guy knows how to make donuts. My mom got an old fashion buttermilk with chocolate. It can be described as perfect with just the right amount of chocolate. My mom was debating the chocolate or just the regular and he ended up throwing in a regular for free- just Incase she didn't like the chocolate. We also got an apple fritter which was larger than my face, fresh crisp and delicious!! read more

Holy moly I have never had a more amazing Boston cream donut in my life! I happen to think of myself as quite the donut connoisseur and have had my fair share of Boston creams which usually have just a bit of custard but mostly just donut - never enough. If you want the most moist, happiness-filled doughnuts in Steamboat, look no further. It's a divey little doughnut shop with some chairs and tables to sit and visit at. We just stopped in for some of their doughnuts while we walked around. The owner greeted us & even threw in a few doughnuts as he was closing soon. Open from 6am-until they run out, we came just before 1pm and there were still plenty. The doughnut holes are light, moist, and wonderful. Truly the most fluffy, sweet doughnut hole I've ever had. I'll never get Dunkin again. The regular doughnuts were great too! Even the jelly & the coconut ones were amazing. They had my tried and true, rainbow sprinkled doughnut which I devoured. A light cake, good amount of sprinkles, simply wonderful. This doughnut shop is in a great spot, just off the main street. It's worth visiting if you're walking around and want a sweet snack. We will definitely be back next time we're in Steamboat! read more

This a noticeable improvement over the previous ownership (milk run). Picked up half a dozen donuts, and was pleasantly surprised at how much fresher everything was than before. The previous owners did not fry the donuts fresh each morning, so I had given up and just gone to City Market as it was much cheaper. Pricing is fair for the area at $1.50 each for standard offerings. I don't expect them to be grocery store priced, but do expect high quality, which I got. I tried cookies and cream (the old staple!), Triple chocolate, old fashioned, chocolate glazed, and blueberry. The C&C is still the best. Main area for improvement is getting the cake donuts a little more moist. To quote Ahnold...I'll be back! read more

I had a hankering for donuts, so off to Powder Day I went. They are just off Lincoln and I was able to park across the street. It is a local shop, and not a ton of selection. Still they are much better than grocery store or Dunkin donuts. Do get the Boston Cream donut, it really is as good as everyone on here says. And bite slow, else you will make a mess. read more

I really enjoyed the vanilla lattes I ordered here. They were very creamy without being overly sweet. In the mornings, we stopped through Unravel and then wandered around the base of the mountain. The staff working was great, and the prices weren't bad either! Nothing to complain about when it comes to a good cup of coffee + mountain views.

The prices are high but it's a mountain town so did not expect anything less. We got a latte and a matcha and the matcha did not have much flavor to it which was kind of disappointing. We then ordered the breakfast sandwich and bagel and both were good but nothing crazy. Lastly we got a cookie that looked delicious but it was unfortunately very burnt. We both got one and we were disappointed how hard it was to chew.

The delicatessens in the city are scrappy, endlessly interesting epicurean melting pots with flavors often represented from around the world. SM&S is exactly like this with yummy food specialties around the store from seafood, meats, cheeses, seedy crackers, freshly made pastas & sauces to go, soups, etc. And YES, the sandwiches are the star of the show! I've been regularly going to the Boat since the mid-90s after moving here from New York, and I was psyched to find a "real" deli serving up ultra-thinly sliced best-in-class Boars Head cold cuts. Plus, the bread is just right with a bit of delicious doughiness & chew to the texture, NOT like some other more popular main street sandwich shops where the bread is soullessly airy & fluffy, and covered in wildly inappropriate sesame seeds. Service has ALWAYS been friendly to me and my party, but I'll say that if you're looking for fake, over-the-top fain, then look elsewhere. These are real people, making real sandwiches, that are real delicious. Really!!!
