I arrived unannounced and found her with the cutest hairdo I've ever seen. Her fingernails were painted beautifully and she had on a real cute outfit we had purchased for her some time ago. Kathy was clean and well cared for. She was happy and had a hug for all her caretakers. We grew up in P-burg and know many of the people both residents and care providers. I remember a time when there wasn't any place for the elderly and those needing assisted living. I say well done Philipsburg on taking care of your people. Various people in top management have sexual relationships with people they manage, and top management hires their spouses as managers. Major medical mistakes swept under the rug. Blatant false documentation accepted without question. A patient dies and is reported to be found "warm to the touch" when in full rigor mortis, although camera's and documentation find no employees in sight on the 11 PM to 7 AM shift (until 6 AM when a "flurry of activity occurs)" for those not in the business that strongly suggests staff is sleeping and house supervisors are not making hourly rounds to check on staff, hence supervisors are sleeping too) while our patients are dying or under an extreme case of neglect. These issues are brought to attention of staff via TEAMS messages which may or may not be brought up in court. Medication errors enumerable with no repercussions, RN's who don't know how to make clinical decisions or perform basic tasks like 'EKGs, basic assessments, knowledge of medications and life-threatening side effects. Mocking patients who have undergone the most horrific challenging assaults; sexual, physical and psychological abuse unimaginable to most individuals and o most human beings. These people are sent to MSH where egos abound, nepotism thrives, power over RN "travelers" who come from MAGNET hospitals ie Hopkins, Mass General, University of Maryland, UCLA etc etc happen to bruise each Manager's ego, be in higher education, higher standards of care, unwillingness to challenge non-sensical pathetic MSH "standards of care" by managers, nevertheless the current Director of Nursing" that holds only a BSN when standards require an MSN and who has his wife working as a manager on a unit he oversees, so where is one to go with a complaint, the DON, as if he would act against his wife who spends her day shopping on Amazon- surely there is a way to follow one's online activity. A case of "false imprisonment" recently occurred on our "best run" unit. A patient was placed in restraints for over four hours and fell asleep during restraint. For those of you who don't know that is FALSE IMPRINONMENT, no 15 minute documentation of patient's status (breathing? alive? calm enough to be released? if sleeping you are calm enough to be released from physical restraints- obviously.) Was the manager of the unit held responsible for lack of education to her staff, NOOOOO. Just staff walked out the facility like common criminals. God forbid a manager at MSH is educated from a common "traveler" from a Magnet Hospital in the United States of America with no experience other than working in the hellhole of MSH yet knows everything and forgives nothing if "travelers" floated to umpteen units throughout the week are unfamiliar with the managers one thousand and one million "rules" on her unit. I'm a Magnet BSN, RN, BC-PMH nurse who was walked out today and is under "investigation" for unknown reasons. Thank God I have meticulous records of everything I've witnessed in this hellhole of a "Physiatrist Hospital." People from Montana should expect basic human rights and dignaties to be afforded to their citizans with mental health diseaases, no one would wish to be dealt such a God Forsaken hand of cards in life, no one. On the 24th she was notified the appointment was cancelled because the elevator was out of service. She is an otherwise healthy and active 28-year-old, perfectly capable of taking the stairs down to the clinic. She was not offered that option, and her reschedule is over 2 weeks farther away. Because the elevator wasn't working? That is just plain stupid and inexcusable. She, and all patients, deserve a much better level of concern and care. Part of the goal and efficacy of ketamine is dependent on a regular schedule to retrain the pain source. Now she will endure her pain for that additional time and lose part of the treatment advantage. How in good practice and patient concern did this happen? Someone forget their Hippocratic Oath? They were immediately concerned when they saw I couldn't walk any longer, and since I was laying on the floor groaning in pain, as well. I was taken back immediately and seen by a qualified doctor, who then gave me some great suggestions, did X-rays and prescribed pain medication and examined my back, which St Peter's did not even bother to do. Dr. Paula Colledge, at Riverwood was like: Omg....I have never felt a back like this! The muscles are like rocks! She was very concerned, and I was treated like a human being, whereas at St Peter's, I was not. I cannot thank this clinic enough, for taking me and my injury seriously, and doing something about it. Would this ever happen at St Peter's hospital or Clinic? Never. At least, not for me. The main so called 'care giver' who caused all of my problems and misery is named Charlene Lewis. I believe she got let go at St Peter's, and most likely for incompetence, and is now at Benefis in Helena. Keep your loved ones and especially your children away from this woman. She did everything in her power to ruin my life and nearly succeeded. St Peters is well aware of what happened, but chose to do nothing as usual. Talk about lawsuit waiting to happen! Everything about this clinic and hospital is negative. The people that work there only care about getting paid. That is all they are in it for. Otherwise, they are mostly all incompetent, which is why St Peter's has the reputation that it does. All departments are run terribly and there is absolutely no accountability for any of them. People here are extremely judgemental. If you have an earring as a male, you will be judged. If you have tattoos, you will be judged. It has happened to me and to many others, and I have witnesses to it, so it can be proven true. Do not bother going here for anything. They will not help you and will do everything to harm you instead. It is just the way they operate at this place.
