As a windsurfer and snowboarder, I know all too well how hard it is to break bad habits when taking on a new sport without proper training. Tara is a Master Instructor for a reason. She also add humor and humility into her teachings. I met really sweet women in the class, something I love about being in the tribe. I feel so happy and joyful when I enter the doors at Ritual. I wish I lived closer.

It was an inner spiritual retreat in 90 minutes. Her language and calm approach to give permission to go within slow and steady is a most delicious way to start an already beautiful day. So lucky to have this in our town and why don't I do this way more often if this is the glorious outcome. The classes are mostly restorative, so don't expect to be breaking a sweat in most classes. However, if your purpose in doing yoga is relaxation and stretching, this is your place. A few things I wish they'd improve - first, the parking is very cramped. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful in downtown Bristol for any parking...but it can be hard to get in and out. Second, their schedules occasionally change without notice so make sure to check the website (NOT the paper schedule they hand out). Finally, they have lovely paper decorations hanging all over the studio, which get in the way for standing poses. Not a huge fan of those- they kind of impeded my warrior poses. Overall, a calming great place to practice and I'll certainly be back! I loved getting to trial different instructors. They round out my yoga practice, as I like a variety of styles & intensity levels. This would be a great place to being a more novice yoga practitioner, someone with an injury, or someone seeking a meditative/relaxing class.

After some research I came to discover Mind Body Barre. I took a Mind Body Barre method class with Caitlin at the Rehoboth location and it was honestly one of the better exercise classes I've taken in recent years. The class runs about an hour and includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. The class runs at a moderate speed and is accompanied by modern pop music for the entire hour so it really keeps your energy up. The facility is spacious, clean, and well lit. the studio provides all of the equipment you will use in class but I would highly recommend bringing water and a towel. Parking is decent but I would arrive early to get a spot near the entrance. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to visiting the studio again!

The songs get old fast. Update the music. New songs. New types of music. -- The workouts are sub par. The weighted exercises (extended arm pulsing, overhead pulsing) is an injury waiting to happen. Those arent effective and will do more harm than good. -- There is no teaching being done. The instructors dont provide feedback on form. I look around and there is bad form all over the room. Instructors are telling us 2 second intervals for pushups but yet they are going every half second. No form. Looks like their bodies are convulsing on a bike. Its poor practice and poor teaching of the actual teachers. THE GOOD: --Instructors are great most of the time. SO GOOD! SO GOOD! SO GOOD! -- Decent Price for classes. -- Lot of options throughout the day to find a time that works for you. OVERALL: So I was an instructor for almost 2 years at the Soul Cycle in Malibu. I understand spinning and was trained by some of the best instructors in the country. I have been to roughly 25 of these classes at LA Spin cycle over the last year and a half and I can tell you this is a sub par studio. Roughly 10 "routines" are done during the class. 1-2 of them with weights with at least 1 of them being a move that you will injure yourself with (those "pulses"). 2-3 of them are repetitive push-up/press routines. And another 2-3 of them are not needed. Spin Studios are supposed to be for cycling. These classes are trying too hard to incorporate a full body workout. Stick to the cycling and you won't have to revert to free passes and half off sales to get people into your studios

This is the first place i tried and i haven't bothered trying anywhere else. Why would i? Its perfect. Now check it, This studio was not what i was looking for but it turned out to be exactly what i needed. What's more, it is everything that i never knew that i really wanted. For example, i had NO intention of doing any harder classes, i just wanted to chill and stretch and now...i'm hooked. i do everything. And how did i get hooked? One of the students insisted that i try the more challenging classes so i did. Boy oh boy oh boy, was i was intimidated because the owner and her team are extremely strong and fit but i went in and i loved it. i immediately knew my body would never be the same, If i stick with it, i will get healthy and strong in a way i've never been before. And there are people of all fitness levels there too. It feels like we are all on the journey together. The whole place is a vibe in and of itself. It's a community. And my goodness, if representation, diversity, inclusion, and authenticity mean anything to you, then this is the place for you. There is no pretending, it is just "Hey this is who we are and accept us as we are and we will do the same for you." There is no falseness to the place the instructors represent a wide range of ages, genders, races and more teaching yoga. Every teacher i've met is exceptionally kind and wonderfully skilled. i even get to dance there sometimes, there is a dance class too, y'all. It's more a sanctuary than a studio, an oasis in an otherwise lacking environment. Honestly, i could go on and on about the attributes of this Yogaguru. But let me finish by saying it is a place of healing and wellness that reflects the values of love and kindness and feels like what the world should feel like. Everybody is a friend to everybody else and you get the opportunity to do your practice how you see fit. Also, the culture can be very entertaining, i laugh and smile a lot. It's also encouraging, you feel like they are talking to you when they address the class, and its a place i miss when i travel. i love it. You will love it. And if the word keeps spreading they are going to need a much bigger place. i think Yogaguru is incredible and i say that as a former yoga teacher, a community leader who prefers to be in beautiful spaces, a person who started yoga in 2003, and a kinda shy person who is out of practice and out of shape who likes to hang in the back only. i'm now so comfortable there i dont even worrry if i dont get my space in the back. You get me. Its LOVE, all LOVE, and thats what it should be when we get together. i wouldnt change a thing, the sheer number of classes puts Yogaguru on another level. Yes, there's that too.
