If I read the other reviews before I made my appointment I would not have gone in. That being said I am SO glad I did! My experience was great. They took a lot of time getting to know me and my ailments. They did a Soft Wave treatment on my feet as I've been having a lot of foot pain the past 5-6 months. I was not expecting much from one treatment, however I was thrilled that my feet were noticeably better when I got home. Everyone's experience is unique but I would highly recommend giving them a try. I went in for the $49 introductory special and was charged $49. I have not been able to go in for the follow up appointment due to scheduling on my end so do not know the cost of any ongoing program. If you see an ad by "Power Total Health", chiropractic services in Clovis, don't be a fool, like me, and schedule a first appointment for $49.00. I have suffered from peripheral neuropathy for over 20 years. On my first appointment, I met with the chiropractor for 5-8 minutes. Then I met with a woman, named Jax" who explained peripheral neuropathy and how they treat this. I was with her for a good 45 minutes. Then off for treatment, with another woman which lasted no more than 8 minutes. At my second appointment I spent almost an hour with Jax. She talked more about their treatment but mostly focused on things we had in common, self disclosure, and her professional history. She suggested that I apply for a Care Credit card, where you aren't charged interest, if your bill is paid off in a year. I told her I already had this credit card. So then she tells me treatment should last six months and it would cost me $13,000. I told her I could not afford this so she says she's going to give me a discount, ($8000.+ for six month treatment services) since everyone I met at Power Total Health liked me so much. I laughed and told her she probably tells everyone this. Then I was sent for treatment, with the same woman who provided treatment during my first appointment. Treatment lasted no more than five minutes. As I was leaving Jax the chiropractor and the woman providing treatment are waiting for me at the front desk. Jax said that my Care Credit card limit was $6000. and suggested that when I get home to request a higher limit from Care Credit and handed me a contract for six month services, provided by them. I stupidly signed the contract because after my first visit, my left foot felt about 30% better. When I woke up, the next morning, all of the numbness and tingling came back. Plus, everyone at Power Total Health were so nice and seemingly knowledgeable. I felt hopeful. As I was walking to my car, I thought I had made a big mistake. The more I thought about signing the contract, the more I thought I had been scammed. I thought about turning around and telling them that I had changed my mind about being a patient of theirs but it was after 5PM and their offices were closed. The next day I tried to get in contact with them, through an email they had sent me after my first appointment (requesting my personal interaction and opinion of my experience with them...since everyone was so nice, I wrote a very nice opinion about my first visit there). My email could not go through this time. So I went to their website and told them that I had changed my mind, no longer required their services and asked for a refund (they had already billed me for $6000. on my Care Credit card. Eventually, they refunded me $5,625. They charged me $375. for my second appointment where treatment lasted less than five minutes. Imagine that! When I went to their website to leave them the message that I would no longer require their services, I noticed that my review was being displayed, on their pop-up. I requested that they take my review off their website numerous times, without success. After a month of my first appointment, the pop-up with my review said I wrote this two weeks ago. Again, I went to their website and told them that I wrote this a month ago, not two weeks ago and again requested that my review be taken off their website. A week later, they changed the date of my review from 2 weeks to 3 weeks. I am writing this because I made a huge mistake by having two appointments with Power Total Health. Be careful with companies like Power Total Health!!!! Power Total Health is not a Better Business Bureau accredited business. My husband has been diagnosed with CRPS in 2010. It was due to 2 auto accidents the second which made my husbands right arm to "pop" and caused extreme amounts of pain to the arm and now the right side of his body. He was stable with progressing CRPS II. Power Total Health was recommended due to the treatment with the Software Tissue Regeneration. We were so very hopeful about the treatment. Although we didn't buy in to all of the treatment In the Neuropathy Care Plan. After the first treatment my husbands pain level was beyond through the roof which felt like the biggest setback for his pain and quality of life. As well , there were no risks, benefits or options even talked about. NOT to mention the price tag; since my husband has a Medicare Advantage Plan was going to be almost $9,000. STAY AWAY!!! (as others posted previously) I was a walk in, asked if they were accepting new patients. I was informed by the receptionist "office manager" HAYLEY that yes they were accepting new patients. I asked what I needed to do to get an appointment, Hayley informed me AND WROTE IT on one of their brochures (see photo) that they had a special promotion for new patients: $47 for initial consultation, and $52 for the first adjustment. I was puzzled and clarified to her that I had insurance. Hayley advised that insurance doesn't pay for initial evaluations and because the insurance didn't confirm insurance coverage at the time of first visit or prior to the visit, they charge $52 for the first adjustment. I offered to provide Haley with my insurance policy number (because I didn't have my insurance card with me) she didn't need it, she needed the card. I stepped out and called my insurance from outside the office. My insurance verified they pay for both the initial consult and the adjustment, my only out of pocket expense should be a $25 copay at time of service. My insurance company provided a reference number to provide to the chiropractic office. I asked them to call and verify that I only had a $25 copay, nothing else. The insurance rep also asked me to ask the chiropractic office what CPT code they would be billing. I went back into the office and explained this to Hayley what my insurance company said, to which she responded that the insurance won't pay for the initial visit. I disagreed, and provided thephone number and reference number to my insurance company, and asked her to call, she said she didn't need it. I asked what CPT code she would be billing she said she didn't know. (not sure why, being the manager who claims to "know insurance" she wouldn't know if they bill this code on EVERY new patient). Hayley said she needed my insurance card and my drivers license, I told her I could bring it the following day. At this time a gentleman aporoached from the back of the office and identified himself as Dr. KARL BAUNE. We shook hands, and he obviously overheard my conversation with Hayley, and told her, "I know this is how we do things here, but let's make an exception this time (for me). He suggested to me that they collect the $47 and $52 and credit it to my account later. Hayley's face turned red, clearly upset, and she nodded in agreement. Hayley highlighted their email address on the business card she provided me with and asked me to send my insurance card and driver's license. I thanked them and left. NEXT DAY I called chiro office out of courtesy to tell them I won't be going back and they could throw my contact info away. NO ANSWER, and I didn't leave a message. A few minutes later Hayley called and said she had a missed call with my number. I said yes, and reminded her who I was. She was upset, told me that she received a call from my insurance and found out that i filed a complaint. I said yes, I did. She told me the insurance company agreed with everything she told them (lie) and that because of that, I was banned from going to their office. I thought it was comical...I told her "THAT is a frigging lie", because Hayley also told the insurance company that they charged new patients for the initial consultation because the insurance didn't pay for it. (insurance company told me they disagreed with her, because they DO PAY and Hayley told them I REFUSED to provide my insurance card (lie).) HAYLEY got upset, and accused me of calling her "a fucking liar" I corrected her and said I said IT WAS A FRIGGING LIE... she said "Same thing!" I did tell her that they were hypocritical having all this religious decorations and sayings in their office and turning around and ripping patients off and then billing the insurance companies for the same service! THOU SHALT NOT LIE OR STEAL! oh last thing, Hayley was NICE enough to refer me to "the Joint chiro"across the street " since she banned me from their office! lol pretty funny! They are over charge and under provide. This place is the reason you pay so much health insurance. DO NOT Waste your time or money. read more

If your health insurance is Kaiser STAY AWAY from this place. Don't be fooled by the $29 assessment special that gets people in the door. It was cash pay for the appointment and then future appointments would be billed to insurance. He complained about my insurance and pressured me to be pay cash requiring 10% down and a large monthly payment that covered an extended period of service paying cash rather than my $10 copay. Said they would deduct any credits received from Kaiser, but still money money up front and a large monthly payment going forward. For obvious reasons, I chose not to use this provider. A month later I received a copy of a claim he submitted to my insurance for the initial assessment that I paid cash for. You can't have it both ways. You can't tell me it's cash pay for $29 dollars and then bill my insurance. If that's the case you should have only collected by $10 copay. read more
