My Dad is at Remington now. He is supposed to be regaining strength after a hospital stay. The nurses dont provide much attention, but most are pleasant. The sunday nurse was very helpful. The rest, not so much. At night noone answered Dad's call button. My largest concern is the diet. We have instructed them repeatedly on Dad's dietary restrictions, and still someone has to be there for every meal. They have an issue with the room assignments so that every meal comes to him with someone else's name on it. No idea how they think they can keep up with dietary needs of everyone. We've brought up our own fresh vegetables and fruit so that he has something healthy to eat each meal which has helped alot. His blood sugar is now normal. The last two nights theyve sent Dad to the hospital only to have the hospital return him the same night. Actually, this is the 7th day he's been there and they've sent him to the hospital 3 times. He is definitely in worse shape than when we checked him in. I read other comments on the 'speech therapy'. We had that and dementia screening, too. Something every day. He just wants to use a walker so he can go home. I'll post back. OK, so Dad passed today. He was old and his organs failed him. But. The remington folks ignored Dads DNR. Said it wasnt adequate. And my mom had to watch the Remington 'nurse' beat on Dads chest for 4 minutes until she got a heartbeat so that the ambulance drivers could take him to the hospital where he officially died. Sigh. Long story short. If youre healthy, this place can work for you. If you need nursing care, this nursing home lacks. Severely lacks. read more

Better than your average nursing home ... Had some probs with the nursing button not working on my first night. And a nightmare check in process but, other than the night nurse being cranky (night nurse = a bitch, nurse aides = Angels) , but overall it could have been worse. Thank God the docs gave me enough meds not to get to pissed. I would go back if the choice where this place or where my grandma has to be. But that ain't saying much. Choices when you are faced with this crap pretty much suck. Could someone do something about that? BTW I vote if that matters. PowerBack Rehabilitation - Physical and Occupational Therapy is very good at this nursing home. Food is pretty good, too. - Skilled Nursing Near Me - Richardson, Texas

My 80 year old father was admitted to rehab after being transferred over from the hospital with the flu and minor pneumonia. He was sent over because he couldn't hold himself up anymore to walk and needed to be sent to rehab. Since his medicare was able to take care of his rehab and hospitalization for 20 days, he had a week left over before the 20 days was up but Remington gave me a call and mentioned my father was "ready to be released" and is "completely independent". I voiced my concern asking them if my father was able to use the restroom on his own now because when he was hospitalized, he needed to wear diapers. We would be unable to take care of him since everyone in the household is unfortunately financially incapable of taking leave to take care of him. They mentioned they would start charging us since he's "completely independent" now. After hearing that, I believed he didn't need home care services so I denied the services they offered to help us set up since he was "completely independent" and I was glad Remington was able to take care of my father because I know how stubborn he could get and I understand it's rather difficult because of the communication barrier (he speaks no English). He was walking, yes but was he completely independent? No. We didn't find this out until we brought him home. We had to find out that he still needed to wear diapers, doesn't bathe himself, and doesn't make himself food. Not only that, we weren't told he had a stroke either until TODAY, TWO WEEKS LATER. All of that information should have been relayed to us but it seemed like they were in such a hurry to get rid of my father. If I knew he had a stroke, I would've agreed to have home care services set up if they so badly wanted to have him discharged. read more

I've had two family members enter this facility. The most recent made amazing progress after total failure at another facility amid fears she would never return home. Staff was very skilled at dealing with a patient that could be stubborn at times. They knew when to back off, and communicated well with family. PT was diligent and effective. Most important, they successfully addressed the challenges she would have at home. They had a (free) elder care consultant in-house that was very knowledgeable helping the family with things like analyzing the quality and adequacy of the current secondary insuance policy. The facility was always clean and had really good food services. In fact, it's a great place to dine with your family members whether in the room or in the centrally located cafe. In-house activities like movie night and various week-end religious services are frequent and easily accessible. I would absolutely recommend this facility. read more

If I could give 1/2 star review I would. My loved one was there 2 weeks for recovery from a broken ankle before we transferred to another facility due to their care. She was completely bedridden and absolutely no weight bearing on her right ankle. They messed with her heart meds without consulting her cardiologist, they gave wrong dosages without regard for past medical history, they disregarded protocols already in place from her pain management and her current PT team in regards to a previous surgery and chronic condition. They scheduled her follow up with her surgeon, then missed it. They did not inform her of the appointment, so when I called her surgeons office to find out when the appointment was, I was informed it was that morning and the appointment had been missed. Once Powerback was asked about it, an appointment magically appeared the next day and they tried to say it was then the whole time. Except I had already spoken with the office and knew that was not the case. What sent us over the edge though was her "wound care". It did not happen. When we went for a follow up with the surgeon (not on Powerback staff), he refused to let us go back to the facility. They had falsified their records saying it was done, and it was obviously not. I didn't think to open the dressings to check their work. They would take upwards of 30 minutes to respond to a call button, even the bathroom/fall pull cord. They left my loved on on the toilet for close to 20 minutes once. They only bathed her when requested, once going 5 days between baths. They acted like changing her clothes were a chore that wasn't necessary. I will say, their actual PT and OT was good. The staff was so sweet and kind and very knowledgeable. Once they were made aware of the previous protocols (aka when I handed them the paperwork they previously refused to request from her doctors) they were johnny on the spot with making sure her back was taken care of. TL;DR Don't do it. Even if you have glowing reviews from close friends. The pretty building, nice food and pretty rooms are not worth it. Pictures attached of her 2 week follow up "wound care check". I do not recommend this place. I would give zero stars if possible! I'll start off by saying my mom came here for Physical Therapy after having hip replacement surgery. She was supposed to get 1 hour every day. She was here for 5 days and ended up with a total of 1.5 hours of PT. Unacceptable! She had more PT in the hospital the 2 days following surgery than she did the whole 5 days she was at powerback. The facility is very nice and looks great. That is pretty much where the good part of the review ends. My mom checked in here after hip replacement surgery for rehabilitation. The driver from the hospital to powerback helped her get to her room. No staff from powerback helped. After she was in her room, no one greeted her for a long time. Finally a nurse came in and didn't have any clue why she was there. He asked if she had fallen... didn't know that she had hip replacement...didn't know that she needed ice packs on her hip. When we asked for ice packs, he acted like they didn't have them.... a couple hours later an administrator came to her room. We though, finally, someone to welcome her and explain how things work... no, she just told us how my moms insurance plan worked, had her sign papers and left. 3 and a half hours after she was in her room, finally, someone came and explained how the place works. None of the staff has a clue or any social skills. Every person would walk into her room and say "I'm (insert name)." And stand there. We would say " nice to meet you. And what are you hear for"...... She is here for physical therapy.... but no one from physical therapy even visited her the first 2 days. So not only a total waste of 2 days from progression, but a waste of money. (4 years ago, she had this same surgery and was at another rehab facility. They greeted her right when she got there and had her doing therapy the day she got there). Her 3rd day here, she FINALLY had Physical therapy and occupational therapy. Unfortunately, this was a Friday. On the weekends, you only get half an hour of either PT or OT. She is going home on Monday. So her 5 day stay here, for Rehabilitation and physical therapy, will only have 1 and a half hours of physical therapy. Second day.... while she is waiting for her lunch to be delivered, someone comes to pick up her tray. She said, I haven't gotten my lunch delivered yet. He laughs and walked out. 30 minutes later after lunch hours are over, she calls and let's them know again, she never got lunch. Instead of delivering it, someone 20 minutes later checks to see if she has a tray for them to pick up. Again, we say, she never got lunch. This time.... 30 minutes later, someone comes and asks, "you never got lunch?" Instead of asking if she didn't get lunch, maybe try delivering lunch!!!! Lunch is 11:30-12:30.... finally they delivered a salad (no drink) at 2..... an hour and a half after lunch is over. An hour and a half after we told them and reminded 6 different people. Oh.... and no silverware with the salad... We have yet to talk to anyone that has any clue as to what is going on. The facility is nice, people are friendly.... they just don't know what they are doing. Seriously, no one has a clue. The staff is friendly, just not trained. This is a management problem and it does not seem like anyone is working on making it better. read more

My family member was released today and is resting comfortably at home. They spent 10 days at PowerBack and we had an excellent experience the entire time. Every single person we interacted with friendly, personable, and extremely responsive to our needs. So many good things to say there is no way to cover them all in a Yelp review! PowerBack took care of everything- dietary needs, OT, PT, pain management, all medications, all business stuff, social work, even home health care. It was so nice to finally be in a facility where we could concentrate on our family member and were not chasing down doctors, nurses, insurance needs and questions- It was all taken care of and coordinated wonderfully. I highly recommend this facility if you, or someone you love, needs rehab. read more

If there is a class action lawsuit against Powerback, I will join the families who have also endured this unsafe environment. I have lots of documentation and can share or post to prove our stay there almost killed my mother following a simple knee replacement. Nurses are not on the floor 24/7, non English speaking aids administered meds one night which resulted in moms blood pressure reading 200/125. I had to email her surgeon in the middle of the night and beg for help. Should have called 911 and got her out that night. You can keep changing the name of the facility to prevent a lawsuit but those in charge remain employed and do not seem to care. Front doors were left unlocked all night, even after speaking to staff to lock them. read more

DO NOT TAKE ANY FAMILY MEMBER YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS PLACE. THEY PERSONALLY HAVE SHORTENED MY MOTHERS LIFE. She fell they let her lie in pain for 14 hours before they got an xray. So because she was in pain and could not sit up. She ate no breakfast, no lunch and no dinner. This is so great for a diabetic. The nurses are useless. They just let those call buttons ring and ring and ring. They never gave my mother a shower the 2 weeks she was there. My sister and I did. I need this place to go out of business. They are only in it for the money. They tell me my mother needs 24 hour care. And they let her lay on the floor for God knows how long. Then don't call me till 10 hours pass. And go your mom had a little fall. My MOTHER BROKE HER HIP. AND YOU PEOPLE AT POWERBACK COULD OF CARED LESS. I could go on for 8 pages of misconduct on this place. Seriously. Last year we chose this place. This place was beautiful, they provided the Rehab that my mom went there for. We were there with her most of the time to help out with her care. When we would ask for issues to be followed up on, or reminded them of something, they took care of it. There is no perfect place. They are alright. read more

DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM IN WORSE CONDITION!!!! Lakepoint Baylor recommended this place when my sister has neck surgery. She developed an open wound on her spine, shes not diabetic, they had NO idea how to do wound care and "tried" to fix it, without doctors orders, and let it get infected. My sister finally contacted the doctor herself. The doctor knew none of this despite the nurses (and i use the term nurses loosely) saying they hadv contacted the doctor. They were doing improper care and the wound got severely infected and went septic. Through all of this, not once were labs drawn to check for infection. They didn't even check her temperature! They said the thermometer was broke. 6 of them???? I counted machines. This place may be fine for minor knee or shoulder rehab, BUT NOTHING REQUIRING A MEDICAL COMPLICATION!!! (and i write all this as a retired Paramedic) I will be also writing Baylor, the AMA, BBB, and any news station that will listen to me! Someone is going to die at this place. Nurses are lazy and patronizing. USELESS! They let her sit in leaking spinal fluid for 5 hours and repeatedly so her skin is also breaking down. Don't do it, just don't do it. read more

Was there in Oct. 2017 I was more mobile than others THANK GOD !!!! Saw multiple call lights unanswered until I notified staff. Staff would pass an active light like it never existed or ignored it because playing on cell phone. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION/ KNOWLEDGE THE DRS. CHANGED MY MEDS!!!!! After 10 no one on floor not even RN. My room was 20 yards from. "break room" could hear all of assistants laughing their heads off. At same time six or seven call lights active. The assistants didn't answer until a passing RN passed asking me if one of lights was mine. ALL THE STAFF UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED. read more

My 90 year old Stepdad had hip replacement and went to this "elder abuse" facility, he went for close to a week without a bath, on several occasions when my Mom arrived in the morning him and his bed was wet with urine, the nurses blamed it on him. Anytime when cleaning the sheets etc. my 77 year old Mother had to transfer him from his bed to his wheelchair on her own because the staff is unavailable. This has been VERY expensive due to my mother having to pay her caregiver to stay all night with him my mom stays all day to be sure he is taken care of. My parents are on a fixed income and what's left of the money for my stepdads care is spent on taking care of him at this facility. The nursing staff is poorly staffed and when there too busy talking with each other and not caring for the patients they were also seen removing bags of items from the facility. read more

I am 40 years old and I had a complete shoulder replacement, when the Dr told me I had to go to a rehab I was nervous, but Remington sent a shuttle van for me, the driver took care of my luggage and every thing, then made sure I was secured and the drive over was excellent,very Freindly and nice.. Now Remington sent a Beautiful young lady to the hospital to go over everything that I could expect, and from that moment on it has been a. Wonderful experience here at the rehab facility, everyone from the front door and even the cleaning staff have been really nice and curtious, this place is awesome, the nurses are great, anything I have asked for and even come by and check on me and they act like they really enjoy doing whatever they can do to help me. I had thearpy today and the therapist are so polite and helpful while at the same time makeing sure I get the thearpy I need, they won't let you be in pain all you have to do is let them know and they will take care of you. Even the kitchen staff is so helpful, I have been able to relax and feel so comfortable here at remington in Richardson. If you need rehab I highly suggest and recommend Remington for anyone who has to have it. You will be very glad that you chose them. I stayed at the Richardson TX location for 1 night to recover from surgery and from the point that they picked me up at the hospital this must be the worst experience I've ever had - and I'm disabled veteran who has had more than my share of stays in military and VA hospitals. The staff was rude, the nurses incompetent (incorrectly administered medications to me) and inconsiderate (loudly speaking and laughing outside of my room throughout the night) and to top it all off they required that I have someone stay with me (so I brought my wife) but they didn't have a place for her to sleep so they brought in a terribly uncomfortable roll away cot... I really needed to stay an extra day but our experience was so bad we took the risk and left early. So unless you enjoy such experiences I urge you to stay away from this facility. read more

Facility: clean and pretty. Nurses: OK. but inexperienced dealing with acute patients. Nurses aids: some good and some rude. Kitchen: good food much better than hospital foods, very compassionate staff, for example when my tray would return untouched (because of protracted vomiting), they would come from the kitchen and ask me what they could bring bring me that I could tolerate. Physical therapy( should be the best department at a rehab), had many inexperienced staff who would put the patients on a machine and go to their computers. Only couple of them were very compassionate and experienced. read more

I have been happy with my many stays at Remington and feel like the staff is part of my family. Anyone expecting 5 star treatment will have to realize that the responsibility lies with you. I had an exceptional experience because I am my own advocate and everyone needs one if they are staying in ANY Rehab. facility. The Nursing staff is wonderful if you treat them with respect and kindness and understand that they are in a high pressure job trying to make everyone comfortable. Be patient and they will bend over backwards to take care of you. If not, report it to their supervisor and immediate correction will be made. Keep track of your meds and when you are suppose to get them. Interact with the Doctors who come to see you and ask lots of questions. My motto is "If you do not ask, you won't get what want." The facility is gorgeous and the food in the Café is very good. I never ate in my room(my room is for sleeping) because by the time the food gets to you from the delivery cart from the kitchen it will be barely warm. The staff in the kitchen will bring food directly to you at your time preference if you will call them. I enjoyed seeing other patients in the Café and getting to know them. The Waitress are sweethearts and work under a lot of pressure to get your order right. PT is superb and has many caring therapists. Administration is wonderful and the ladies who work in the various departments will do everything possible to help you. read more

For two weeks I was cared for, smiled at, fed gourmet food, and rehabbed a new knee. So I must say this place is great. No facility is without problems or maybe an employee who comes in having a bad day, but I have worked in medical environment and seen what these people do and put up with. So add another half star! If you decide to go there and see Ms. Sheila or Rosa, send my love from the first floor coffee lady! read more

When mom was there in April, the support, service, food, nursing were really good. This time, she's been there 2 weeks, experienced poor dietary service (diabetic), trays with someone else's name, nurses at the computer looking at their cell phones and speaking with strong accents mom has trouble understanding, poor pain medication scheduling. Physical and occupational therapy is really good, especially Edwin. The social worker and head or rehab are reporting to us reliably and are a bright spot. I think they got the pain med situation under control. Very disappointed in the changes. read more

Truly horrible. My mother fell In the bathroom and they lied about it. Thank god she was alert and knew exactly what happened. She was on blood thinners and could have died if we hadn't gotten her to the hospital (which they didn't want to do). Even then she had major complications which took months to resolve. They lied at the every turn no matter how large or small the consequences so please stay away! And there were so many elderly who were crying and miserable I wouldn't even think about this place. Save your loved ones and find somewhere else. Can't bear the thought of any more elderly hurting with no recourse! read more

My mom had total knee replacement and she stayed there for 10 days. I took time off work and stayed with her the whole time so I could watch over my mom. I have to say Powerback has a strong Therapy Department and great doctors but the RNs are not very skilled. read more

My sister is there now. Cant get anyone to even answer the phone. Earlier someone was supposed to take her blood before transferring her to the hospital for pneumonia and the lab person left work and didn't come back. So then they said they would send someone else. It has been over 2 hours and no one has come. Now trying to get an administrator and no one is answering both phone numbers. Ok will be calling their corporate office. Do not put anyone here. read more

This used to be a good rehab facility--AND it was near Baylor PLANO which has exceptional nursing (the other Baylor facilities do NOT) My mom had cancer surgery on her vulva. She was not supposed to have anything covering the wound--she was at Remington specifically for wound care. Of course they make their money on selling other services: PT/OT/Speech to Medicare. If you appear not to be able/willing to make them all of this money, they don't want you. Things appeared to be going ok with her rehab-and i visit daily. so i needed to have my shoulder surgery so i could help my mom when she returned home. (could not use my right arm). The lazy male nurse complained that my mom was yelling at night--so his solution was to move her further away from the nurses station. I guess she was disturbing his naps. Then, they demanded that she be given "happy pills". Less than a week in a half in, the non english speaking African born nurse called me at 10pm on a saturday night stating that my mom was being sent to the hospital for yelling (?!) I immediately went (with ice-machine in tow and driven to the Remington by a friend) only to find that there was no issue. The next day, I received a call again in broken english from a different "nurse" (not an RN) who informed me that the doctor (whom i had never seen and who apparently does his diagnosis over the phone) was MAD that mom had not been sent to the hospital--so he sent her to Baylor DALLAS (not nearby PLANO) . She was sent to the ER with a "diagnosis" of dementia! I did learn after peeking at the transfer papers that her list of heart medications was incorrect and her blood pressure was 200/100! Dementia my ass! After she "passed" the re-entry exam, and returned, she started to yell again. they called in a psychologist to have her officially diagnosed as demented. They also told me i had to find a sitter or sit with her myself? their problem was that the psychologist determined that was not the case, but that she was delirious and should be tested for a urinary tract infection--prevalent and devastating on anyone over 70. I asked that she be transported to Baylor PLANO and the ER nurses immediately also agreed that she probably had a UTI--which they discerned from the odor of the urine. What were the nurses at Remington doing besides sitting on their butts? Also, her effects were immediately thrust into a big bag and sent to the supply room to free up her room...NEXT! Unfortunately after the antibiotics were finished she was still weak--she was left poorly diagnosed too long. Ultimately, she passed in another facility. I blame the machine at Remington for the cheap "sort of" nurses--not RNs but lesser degrees, reliance on the african born aides who have little command of english, and the telephone doctor mill. I should have just kept my mom at home and called the visiting real RN nurse. she would probably still be with us. So, don't fall for the wine and cheese party (?) floor show crap, and that ilk. If you do not understand, that this is a big business, participating in a doctor mill (most of the doctors service five or six facilities in the area concurrently and either show up once a week, if that, diagnose over the phone by speaking with a nurse or aide who does not have a command of english or send out a "nurse practitioner". UTI is very common for senior adults and mirrors dementia. Don't let these lazy incompetents kill you or your loved ones. this is not a charity, it's just business. read more

I was here 1 year ago for Knee Replacement therapy, yes there are a diversity of nurses and aids, however if you don't want to do the therapy, don't go. I was treated kindly from all the staff, and CEO. There was days at 1st I could not do therapy because of pain. The rooms are private and that was a plus. The food was good and I could not eat they would make soup or something light on belly. I am having knee replacement in other knee and I am choosing to go back here read more

If you look down and read Gary W's review and this is what is STILL going on in this horrible facility. My brother in law in this facility right now, and it has been a horrible nightmare for my sister and her husband. They never bathed him for 4 days, and lied and said he wasn't supposed to have a shower, on doctor's orders. This was completely refuted by the doctor. They didn't help him get dressed or undressed, so he slept and stayed in the clothes he came in for over two days. They were supposed to be teaching him how to dress himself, due to the fact he had serious back surgery and wasn't supposed to lean over or twist, so he just laid there in dirty clothes! My sister discovered his wet shirt at the bottom of the closet, that had been there and was mildewing. She couldn't find his socks she had left for him to use the next day, and finally found them being used to TIE BACK HIS CURTAINS! Most of the employees are on their cell phones instead of working, by the way. She also discovered he had been listed as being on a diabetic diet, which he is not diabetic, and then saw they had listed that as needing a lot of carbs! That is just the opposite of what would be good for anyone who is a diabetic! Also, after this was ironed out, she was told he wouldn't notice much change in his diet anyway, because everybody gets served pretty much the same food. For two days, he didn't eat his breakfast because they "couldn't wake him up", yet did nothing about it! He could have been ill, in a coma, who knows what else! They also told my sister she had a choice if she wanted them to give him his medication, or she could come and do it. She said she would do it, but then they did it anyway, so he was being overdosed! Then they tried to tell her nobody told her she could bring his medication and administer it to him. Please, nobody makes this stuff up! And then they had not offered to help him brush his teeth, he is at risk for falls, and is not supposed to be going to the bathroom by himself. Yet nobody comes to help, so what choice does he have? He was supposed to be going to this facility to learn what he could do and not do because of the surgery he had. But he has learned nothing. My sister said she wished he had read the Yelp reviews before having him go there, but for some strange reason, everybody in the medical profession said this was the place they recommended. Wonder why? Please do NOT put your loved one in this facility. Just because it looks nice doesn't mean the proper care is behind the facade. He would have been better off at home with home healthcare and PT. read more

My sister was at PowerBack (now Renaissance) for five weeks to gain strength. Because of her dementia, she tried to get up by herself and fell. I was informed immediately. X-rays showed a broken shoulder. They took care of transportation to the ER and then made sure she got to the doctor the next week. I live close by and was there frequently. I was involved in all aspects of her care including being at the ER and the doctor's appt. Everyone was friendly. Her therapy was thorough in all cases. She is on a puréed diet and they made sure she got a variety of food. She was bed bathed while she couldn't get in the shower. The social worker worked with me throughout her stay and at her discharge. They have a physical therapy MD, an internal medicine MD, and a psychologist who all worked in her treatment plan. I would use them again. I'm sorry that others have had bad experiences. At this time I highly recommend PowerBack (Renaissance). read more

I had knee replacement surgery and this was the place my surgeon suggested. I have nothing but praise for the way they took care of me. I was there for a week and the place is gorgeous and clean. There are common areas for your friends and family to visit, although the rooms were spacious. The food was excellent, but what I really liked was the option to eat in their restaurant. It gave me the chance to order various items and the wait staff were so accomidating. Before long many of the other patients would join me and it was less isolating through recovery. I felt the nursing staff was quick to look after me and the PT and OT staff really helped in my recovery. They even have a hair salon! After 4 days in the hospital, I felt I needed to do something with my hair. The lady there was darling and gave me just what I wanted. I had read the other reviews and was hesitant to commit to this place, but my surgeon's staff highlly recommended it. I agree with them. read more

I just took my mom out of this facility yesterday!!! This place is terrible - where do I start. They overdosed her one day by putting two medicine patches on her - her heart rate was 44 the entire day and they were not concerned. I finally figured out what was wrong and took the patch off. They tried to tell me it did not affect her, but I looked up the side effects of the drug online and she had 6 of the 11 overdose symptoms. Next they gave her hydrocodone - when she had asked not to be given that drug. All she wanted was Tylenol for pain and they knocked her out for 14 hours. Next, she gained 30 pounds from fluid while she was there for 2 weeks. When I kept voicing my concerns, they just ignored them. They said she had pneumonia - it took 3 days for them to start breathing treatments. Then yesterday when I had her taken by ambulance to the ER - she did not have pneumonia she had congestive heart failure. The doctor in the ER immediately gave her meds and you could see a difference in just a matter of hours. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER TO NOT MAKE PROGRESS OR MAYBE DIE!!!! read more

Due to brain cancer over the last 15 years and a stroke in brain surgery 14 months ago, my husband has been in many facilities from Colorado to Kansas to Houston and Dallas area. Remmington Medical Resort is in a league of its own. The kind, compassion care my husband receives is unmatched by ANY rehab facility in the state of Texas. The response time to his calls is FAST. The facility is absolutely beautiful and the environment is loving and homey. The medical staff is very attentive and treats my husband with excellence. The PT, OT, and Speech Therapists are highly educated in their field and my husband progressed further in a short amount of time than any place he has been. Due to a fall after being discharged, we are waiting approval from insurance as I type this to readmit him to this incredible facility. To be in a situation where therapy is needed due to paralysis or surgery is absolutely horrible. But Remmington Medical Resort, eases the pain and humiliation and restores dignity with high level of medical assistance. read more
