At 8:38 he texted me saying he is up against his next job, traffic is bad and we need to go re-schedule as he is not sure when he will get in. He knew appt was at 8am, he knew there will be traffic coming into the city and made 3 people wait. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Within a couple weeks of moving in we went to clean the tub. Filled it and began running the jets only to see the water level dropping about 1/2 inch over 10 minutes. The have deflected, blamed us, lied on other sites about offering help (they sent a list of plumbers they found on google), claimed it's a "non invasive inspection" when no invasive inspection was asked for the leak is clearly visible. They are the lowest quality of inspection you can find. It was haphazardly rushed so the inspector could leave to meet up with his wife in NY that afternoon and we are paying the price. I have tried to work with the dishonest Mr. Male. He refuses to take any responsibility or offer any reasonable remed. He is also refusing to provide license #s. That in itself should tell you what type of business they run. They collect your money, show up and look around like it's an open house showing and then when there are issues they will deny all responsibility. Had they done a thorough inspection we would not be in this position. hell, if Mr Male could find a plumber capable of doing the repair he thinks is needed we would not be in this position.

And even though I don't usually go with the low bidder, they were 20% less than the other quote I got and seemed easier to work with. We were in the middle of a big renovation and because of our poor planning, we didn't do an asbestos test on our ceilings until after the kitchen had already been half-completed. When the asbestos test came back positive, we put everything on hold and had to scramble to find somebody who could competently remove the popcorn ceilings. Since the popcorn had been sprayed directly onto the concrete ceilings, it would have to be manually scraped off, and the first contractors we interviewed quoted us almost $18000! Adrian is licensed and after a quick inspection he gave us a very reasonable quote for a third of the price. We checked his license number on the public record of Massachusetts asbestos projects (https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/portal#!/search/asbestos) and everything checked out; he's worked on lots of projects in Massachusetts and his reviews were excellent, so we decided to hire him. Since we were evacuating the apartment anyway, we also asked him to do some odd jobs he was here -- a new paint job, new vent fans and lights for the bathrooms, and repairing some damaged walls. His team did a great job and left the space very clean and looking like new. During the project he sent regular updates (with pictures!) over text, to let us know how things were progressing. While he was replacing one of the bathroom vents, he found out that there was not enough space in the wall for the new vent we had purchased. He texted me right away and after we discussed a few options, he figured out a way to rearrange things so that the vent would fit in a different spot in the bathroom. In general, it was super easy to get in touch with Adrian if we had any questions or requests -- he responded to texts and emails within a few hours, if not immediately. He was also very prompt in sending all the city paperwork, licensing, and insurance information that the building's homeowner association and management company needed to approve the project. When my family found out about the asbestos we were incredibly stressed about managing and paying for the abatement, and Adrian really made the entire project as simple as possible. All we had to do was tell him what we needed and he got everything done, within our budget. We evacuated the apartment and came back in a week when Adrian was done, exactly on schedule. All in all Adrian was a pleasure to work with and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anybody looking for a competent, punctual, professional, and reasonably-priced asbestos abatement.

The inspection was extremely detailed and took about two hours. He took air samples.. tested areas where it looked like there had been a leak and I received a very detailed and professional report with photos putting my mind at ease and allowing me to pursue mold removal with the condo board. We chose Ray as our home inspector, after shopping around different rates and inspectors. We…read moreinitially had recommendations from our real estate agent but decided to use Yelp to explore other options. Ray's price came out to be very competitive, in addition to being immediately responsive to my Yelp message inquiries. His website is also nicely designed, I'd say better than many other home inspection websites. I didn't see a sample report on his website but messaged him and Ray emailed a sample copy right away. While there was no recommended Yelp review when we chose him, I did see some other Google reviews for his company and verified his license on the Massachusetts website (https://elicensing.mass.gov/CitizenAccess/GeneralProperty/PropertyLookUp.aspx?isLicensee=Y).   On the inspection day, Ray arrived a few minutes earlier than the agreed time. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. You can tell he is passionate about what he does. He sent his report the same day and it was easy to read and understand. You do have to sign an agreement before the service, but mine went to my junk folder and I didn't see it until after the inspection. Here are some important details that may be relevant to others: COVID 19 Procedures in place: Inspector will wear mask and gloves, as well as practice social distancing. Anyone attending the inspection is required to wear a mask. We ask that you limit attendees, or take turns inside the home to be able to appropriately distance from others. The agreement is available for electronic signature. REPORT DELIVERY: Emailed within 24 hours to you and your agent (with your permission), with high quality photos included. UTILITIES: Please make sure the utilities (water, gas, electric) are on so the inspection does not have to be rescheduled. ATTIC ACCESS: The inspector needs clear access to the attic on your behalf. The inspector cannot move belonging's to gain access. CANCELLATION POLICY: There will be a $250 cancellation fee for any cancellation with less than 24 hour notice. You must call the office at 978-443-8598 to cancel. You will receive a text confirmation that the inspection has been cancelled. If you do not receive that, please call to confirm.
