Courts

Was here for a 2-day clinic. Staff was friendly and greeted us every morning. Lots of parking! The courts themselves were clean and well kept. I found most members to be generally friendly and welcoming. They also have large fans to keep you cool while playing. While I didn't use them, they also had a small spa/massage business and a pretty good equipment shop. I wouldn't have a problem playing here again.

Had a great first visit to Power Play for their open play. The courts are really nicely done and we're a pleasure to play on. The surface is great and each court has its own fencing, so you're not wasting time running around after stray balls. It seemed like most people came with a group to play together with but we also met some new folks, which was fun. There's a lounge for relaxing between games, filtered cold water, a small pro shop, and a few vending machines. There's a lot of insulation which helps keep the sound down. They also partner with a company that recycles used pickleballs which is great. You can bring your cracked pickleballs there for recycling.

Impressive, went here to play with my friends and I was impressed with the club. Not so much with the parking lot through. It's small and not much of parking spaces. Staff are nice and friendly with smile. The place is well organized, spacious and clean. The play area is big and individual court is covered. It's airy and well lighted. Nicely done and can't wait to come back for more games.

This is a destination pickleball facility! Despite being 40 min from OC it has an ideally accessible location right next to the 405 across from the Porsche experience. The parking is vast and more than ample and the exterior pays homage to Bainbridge Island with a beautiful mural. As you walk in I was greeted by an enthusiastic and patient 'Barb' who gave me a tour of the facility. The courts were well laid out, freshly painted and active. There was a league going on and an open play court was empty and inviting. Once the entire vision comes into reality- an upstairs work space and juice bar and a club house in an adjacent building this will be in the running for a Michelin Star. Excited to see this quality of pickleball facility in LA!

Attended two "Advance Beginner" classes with Coach Christine and it helped improve my serving and dink placement. Now I'm ready for level 9, lol.

Definitely.

Is there a membership fee? What's your cross street?

Hi - we have a few membership options. Standard Membership is $169 per month. Senior Membership is $99 per month but times are limited to Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm. Additional, small fees apply outside of that timeframe. We have student and…

In fact, it has quite the homey atmosphere, while keeping a well-maintained one as well. Grass for soccer is well mowed and edged, courts are well lined with functional nets. It's not new and shiny but it is maintained with care. The after school tennis class instruction is led by mostly high school tennis team players, along with Liz, who seems to be the adult in charge. Obviously, Courtney is around but I don't expect her to be leading group classes. Anyway, care is taken to improve the kids' strokes and footwork, as much as possible, to the extent the kids are willing to listen and correct. Both my kids are enjoying their classes, with a little treat after. I love their little tennis shop and the tables that make it easy for people to congregate and make it feel like a cafe. Bathrooms, lockers, water fountains, and most importantly, the ice machine are all functional and clean. Also love the 10-pack of classes they have. Usually no deals to be found for tennis.

The designated pickleball courts are really nice. I always feel like it was a treat every time my friends were able to reserve those courts. The tennis courts with the pickleball lines can be confusing the first time you hit on it. The tennis lines are white and the pickleball lines are black. You get used to it after a bit. But the lights here are horrible. You don't even have to hit the ball too high and the ball will get lost in the lights. And the parking here is also horrible. If you get here around 5:30-6PM, (especially if it's soccer season) good luck finding parking. People just make their own parking spots along the red zone (I'm also guilty of this). But with all that said, I'll definitely join a group session again. Especially since it's summer right now and the sun is staying out longer. I just got a new racket and I feel like I need to hit more than once a week to get my money's worth. Lol So I'll see you soon South Bay Tennis!

They took over a giant covered outdoor area with a ton of picnic tables, clean and open and perfect for a large party (I assume they had to rent this). I've been to a lot of parks over the years, and most of them don't have comparable event spaces. The one disadvantage was that we were far away from the playground, much to the chagrin of my three-year-old, who kept demanding to leave the party in favor of the play structure he saw in the distance. Liberty Park is just a huge place with several different zones. We even switched parking lots once we got there and figured out where the actual party was, on the Camp Liberty side of the park. The party was really nice, pleasant and relaxing. We had lunch, watched the dohl ceremonies (he grabbed the stethoscope, securing his future as a doctor), took pictures, and hung out with family. Then, because I'm not a monster, I took my boy to the playground. It was a great playground, well maintained and pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Fewer kids, in fact, than teenagers working out and playing loud music nearby. I'm not complaining. In fact, my child was fascinated by their music and got as much entertainment from their speakers as he did from the play structure. I don't live anywhere near Cerritos, but if I did, I'd make good use of Liberty Park. What a lovely neighborhood resource, for both special events and everyday recreation.

Highly recommend these courts for pickleball too because there are a lot of courts, friendly players and it's not too advanced of play. Been coming for the last three months and I see the same players all the time. Only downside of playing pickleball here is that the courts close at like 8pm-8:30pm which is actually atrocious. I forget exactly. When I run to the restroom from the tennis/pickleball area, which looks exactly like your average park restroom. I see people on the playground and other pickleball courts (3 in the middle) (2 on side). The track is crowded too! The parking does get full in the evening so you may need to park on the street.
