I've never played pickleball. And for the last two years, friends and fam have been trying to convince me to try it out, but the timing was never really right. Then one day! They finally convinced me to join their league and just go. My very first practice was here - which is conveniently close to home. I was immediately impressed when I walked in. I checked in (I registered prior to coming in - $20 for the day), did a quick browse through their merch and was pleasantly surprised at how many courts they have. I gotta say, they're popular: all courts were occupied. And it's pretty well maintained - no clutter, the whole court look like they were freshly painted, even the nets looked new. They also have a nice lounge area and they provide free water - just bring your own tumbler. I was lucky enough to get free coaching from cousin-in-law who showed me the basics: rules, scoring, etc., and was playing 2 vs 2 in no time. And I'll admit I really enjoyed it! A couple more practice runs and I might just commit! Most of them have tried many other facilities but they said this one is the best one they've played at yet. I've seen a couple of those places and I have to agree. Their league has a tourney soon - I'm signed up, apparently - and it'll be held here, so I'll be coming back sooner than later. Good first run! Hands down the best place to play indoor pickleball in the South Bay. As you enter you have immediately been transported to pickleball heaven with full gear store, a recovery center, offices, and a storage for old pickleballs. Once inside you will be greeted by 11 net-fenced courts that have plenty of space for you to run down overhead smashes and hunt ATP (around the post) opportunities. 17 outdoor courts are coming Summer 2026!! For non-members the drop-in fee is $25/day, but there are specials when the drop-in fee is $10/day. There are tiers to membership, but all members have the opportunity to reserve courts. Throughout the day there is plenty of programming from private lessons to ladders to round robins to tournaments. Open play can be hit or miss here, but definitely worth coming on Friday Night Lights where there is a live DJ, food, and adult drinks! I really wasn't expecting all that entertainment and wellness out of a pickleball gym. I left the event so satisfied that I texted my boss to tell him to plan the next team building event there. I arrived at the event 10 minutes prior to start time, as directed. My curiosity sparked when I saw a woman with a lab coat inside the facility. When I got inside, I learned that Mrs. C runs the wellness studio located steps before you check in to play pickleball. I would recommend The Red Light Therapy to everyone. I also enjoyed the dry sauna. Pickleball was intense. I played on and off for the first 2 hours and, managed to get a lesson in-between. The gym is huge and they are still expanding. I hear they will be opening up golf simulator screens upstairs. read more

Was here for a 2-day clinic. Staff was friendly and greeted us every morning. Lots of parking! The courts themselves were clean and well kept. I found most members to be generally friendly and welcoming. They also have large fans to keep you cool while playing. While I didn't use them, they also had a small spa/massage business and a pretty good equipment shop. I wouldn't have a problem playing here again. read more

Had a great first visit to Power Play for their open play. The courts are really nicely done and we're a pleasure to play on. The surface is great and each court has its own fencing, so you're not wasting time running around after stray balls. It seemed like most people came with a group to play together with but we also met some new folks, which was fun. There's a lounge for relaxing between games, filtered cold water, a small pro shop, and a few vending machines. There's a lot of insulation which helps keep the sound down. They also partner with a company that recycles used pickleballs which is great. You can bring your cracked pickleballs there for recycling. read more

I dropped by since I was visiting my parents for thanksgiving. The facilities are great with individual courts that are top notch. The area is also very clean. They had clean bathrooms, water fountains to fill up your water bottle, and even a small pro shop. I came in for their open play on a Sunday afternoon and only 2-4 people were there at a time during the 2-3 hours I was there, so at least there were enough people to get a few doubles games in. But it was weird because it showed like 20 people signed up for open play so I was expecting more people, and at times it was just me and 1 other person. Just something to consider if you're a solo player like me, it might be difficult to get games going if enough people don't show up. Outside of that, I thought everything was great, but if the open play turnout is low, I'm not sure it's worth the $25 drop in fee to enter the facilities and maybe not be able to get a game going. Since I was just visiting I couldn't take advantage of the monthly membership but I'm sure that's the way to go. read more

I started playing here as a non-member paying for the programs. I was quickly hooked and became a member. I enjoy playing in the ladders during the week. Open play is hit and miss. Either not enough players or too many with long wait times especially on rainy days. The courts are very nice with lots of room separated by fences. The people are very friendly and welcoming. I also use the onsite reset studio to warm up before and recover afterwards. read more

I joined the Silly Pickles pickleball league and I loved this PowerPlay location. It is a beautiful area dedicated to pickleball only. It's very spacious and they have a little lounge area too! The courts are well maintained. It's important to know the schedule and when you can do drop ins. It's the perfect place to avoid getting sunburned while playing pickleball in the summer! read more

This is a destination pickleball facility! Despite being 40 min from OC it has an ideally accessible location right next to the 405 across from the Porsche experience. The parking is vast and more than ample and the exterior pays homage to Bainbridge Island with a beautiful mural. As you walk in I was greeted by an enthusiastic and patient 'Barb' who gave me a tour of the facility. The courts were well laid out, freshly painted and active. There was a league going on and an open play court was empty and inviting. Once the entire vision comes into reality- an upstairs work space and juice bar and a club house in an adjacent building this will be in the running for a Michelin Star. UPDATE - PowerPlay CANCELED my account after this review. I went to check my account on their iPhone app and I had been logged out. When I tried to log back in, using both the option of having a magic link sent to me and using my password, I didn't receive any email and my password didn't work. nice. Solid move, PowerPlay. Tl;dr - what kind of place forces you to cancel a reservation to retain the entire reservation fee, knowing that the next person who's going to take my spot is going to pay another $25? That's literally just greed. Get over yourselves and your hyped up facilities, you have 9 courts . Happy new year! This place is a greedy joke. They don't care about the experience they ACTUALLY create as a pickleball facility, they just tout being a nice facility and pride themselves in exclusivity. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I signed up for their new year's open play from 4-9pm today. 53 people had signed up and there were 9 spots available. We knew that open play with ~65 people across 9 courts was ballsy but whatever, we wanted to play. I got a spot but for whatever reason though, my boyfriend's reservation didn't go through and we didn't realize it until today. We gave them a call and they said they couldn't do anything about it and the best we could do was come in and he could wait around in hopes that he'd get in via waitlist. Okay, fine, we weren't going to do that but I get where they were coming from. The kicker? I was trying to figure out what to do with my $25 reservation. They said they couldn't help. So basically, they just want my money. They don't care if I play or not and weren't even helpful in asking what I could do with the reservation if I wasn't going to be able to go. Because on their end, that just means less people and more money for them. Or same amount of people but if I cancel my reservation, they keep my $25 and earn $25 off the next person who hops on off the waitlist. read more

Stumbled onto this place when a friend invited me to a Friday Night Lights. I had played pickleball one time before and thought it was fun so I said, "why not." Well... let me tell ya. That "why not" has now turned into a three times a week adventure. This place was welcoming, has an incredible owner (Steve) who is just about one of the nicest humans you'll come across. Fantastic instructors that WILL remember your name, and pretty much everyone you come across here from the staff to the members, to the randoms that sign up on a "why not" whim... will leave you feeling like you suddenly want to play three times a week. I've never had more fun burning calories, playing a sport with a silly name that makes silly sounds. The courts are all indoor (though they plan on adding some outdoor courts soon). All facilites are well maintained and you can tell a lot of care and thought goes into this place. Fair warning... you will meet a ton of people and end up on about 10 different pickleball text chains with a bunch of humans you never knew existed before you walked through the door. I dropped in and played Sunday and had a great time. The facility just opened so drop-in play is only $20 for December. I've played indoors before, but this was the first place I've been to that had courts dedicated to pickleball. The space is enormous. They have 9 full size courts!! 10/10 If you're addicted to pickleball like I am PP is the place to be. I've only been a member since 11/17/25, but here's a list of the many reasons why I love PP: 1. It's a clean well thought out indoor facility. Plenty of parking. No sun, wind, or rain to impact your play. Each court is gated so no random flying balls 2. There's multiple options (all levels of individual/group lessons, live ball, senior meetups, Round Robin, and my personal favorite Ladders) to sign up for. Open play is scheduled daily and divided into 3 time slots (morning, noon, night) so whatever your schedule is you can find something that works for you. There are some blocks of time where open play is for 6 hrs! In my experience the average open play is 2-3 hours. 3. Every staff member has been so welcoming and helpful. Since I'm relatively new I don't know everyone's names. I'll give a shout out to Elizabeth at the front desk - super sweet, Dora one of the investors- very helpful , and I forgot the name of the young man who was amazingly supportive when I dropped into my first open play experience. I was so nervous but he made sure he was my partner so I wouldn't feel alone. All I know is that he's training to become a firefighter. 4. The Coaches are great. So far, I've only interacted with Coaches Jordan, Kelly, and Sidd all of whom are top notch. 5. Since, PP has only been open for a year I would imagine things will continue to improve and be fine tuned. I am super excited for when the outdoor courts and the Clubhouse open. 6.Lastly, one of the most rewarding parts of playing at PP is my fellow Picklers. I have met so many wonderful people and newfound friends in such short period. I always leave PP with a smile and plans to return ASAP. read more

My family had our Christmas celebration at PowerPlay. I can't even tell you how much fun we had. Everyone played pickleball...even if they were new to the sport. There's a very nice lounge area for eating and comfortable chairs to sit on when not playing. All 15 of us, from 2 years old to 70, had a terrific time. The facility is top notch! read more

This place has potential but isn't quite there yet. I went to an evening open play on a week day and there were barely any people there to play with. The open play sign up on the weekends is from 9 am to 5 pm so there's no way to know when it's expected to be busy. The liveball was awful. They should have had 3 courts but only did 2, leaving 9 people per court. With that many people, there was little play time and I barely worked up a sweat. The instructors struggled to keep the correct score so most of the time everyone's time was cut short being on the court. I was also interested in booking a court in advance and they wouldn't let me do that unless I was a member. The times I've gone it's been dead there and I mentioned that and they still said no. Sounds like they don't want to make money. I could only book a court the day of but that just doesn't work when I'm organizing playing with several people. We are all busy working adults and need to plan these things in advance. The facility itself is really nice and I think this place could eventually be great if they make some tweaks. I haven't been back because there's so many other places to play for less money with better organization and open plays with plenty of players. read more

Like: Very new and clean. Also has a RESET facility to do some good stuff for your beaten body like sauna, ice plunge, pressure massage, red light treatment, chiro, etc.. There is quite a good number of courts for being indoor. I like that they have member and non-member time slots as well as open play time slots. Players of all levels there and you should find a good match up for some healthy competitive games. It can get croweded but they try to limit the number of people once it gets too full. Dislike: For someone like me who plays in parks or on cheap outddor courts the pricing for membership or non-member time was a little bit of a shock. But then ... it is indoors and brand new. Can't see myself being there weekly because of the cost. But once in a while as a treat ... why not. Just have to time it right. I have been there on a Monday night for Open Play ... it was great ... not too many people, we had eight that were sharing 2 courts and mix and match, all at the same level which let us have fun and competitive matches for 3 hrs straight. Also have been there on a Saturday, late morning till early afternoon. Morning was packed and the afternoon had open courts but the level was not that high. So, if paying up you have to time it right and hope that you find the level of play you are looking for or bring enough people with you for a good match. read more

Attended the Advanced Ladder with Jordan as the host. It took a few rounds before finally understanding the rules. Overall it was a fun and positive experience. The vibes were good and the play was competitive. Jordan kept time and score and ended the matches with a finale game which consisted of placing people at the court based on their wins/losses and points scored. It was a cool experience. Just wow! This is pickleball heaven and it's only phase 1. So. Very. Excited. Had such a great time at Friday Night Lights last week.

It's a nice facility run by what seems to be nice people. The problem is that the number of people they allow in relation to the number of available courts is way too many. I went one rainy Saturday and waits between games were easily 45 minutes. I, along with a number of my friends, left early. I had signed up for Friday night lights last week a few days before when there were a reasonable number of people signed up, but then when I checked on day of, all 110 slots were filled. That's 12.2 players per court. Tonight they are allowing 70 players For 4 courts. That's over 17 players per court. It just doesn't make sense. I recently visited an indoor place in another city on a rainy weekend and they limited the total number of spots. It worked well. If they can fix this part of their business model, I will continue to make the drive down from Santa Monica. I was even considering becoming a member. If the numbers stay like this, I'm not interested. I've spoken to several of my pickleball friends who have had similar experiences at Power Play, and they feel the same way. read more

This facility is top notch. Courts are pristine. I drive from Orange County with some others to play here we meet our friends from South Bay. My complaint is the last two times (including tonight) I played there is a ladder and round Robin going on taking up 6 courts. There are 10 courts total and 1 of the courts is completely unplayable. Paying full price and only being able to use 3 courts sounds a little ridicolous. Everyone and I literally mean everyone was complaining about the wait time tonight. Everyone had to warm up again before playing because we were sitting out for 30-45 mins at a time. I hope they figure that out because full price for only 3 courts is not a good business model. I understand running ladders but during peak hours and using 6 of the 9 usable courts is rough. I'll still give it 4 stars because the facility is top tier best around. Hope they figure out the schedule or pricing situation. read more
