I did ask an associate for help and they assisted without hesitation. The bakery has a great selection and the breads were good but not as fresh as I've gotten at other locations. I don't buy my meats from Lidl as I prefer the more established grocery stores for that. The produce section is nice and the selection was decent. Overall, this is your typical Lidl store.

Lidl isn't full serve and they don't have a wide variety of brands. You're going to be doing your own bagging and their bags aren't free. Even though the prices are a little higher, I will continue going to this location for the customer service. Today was my fifth or sixth time shopping here. Customer service has been great except for this last visit. The checkout clerk was not friendly at all, not rude or anything just seemed unfriendly and very inattentive. So much so he charged me for an extra item that I hadn't bought. I have no idea why he rang something up that was not in my cart, but it was a "happy birthday" balloon and I have no idea where that would've came from. But instead of refunding it right then or at least calling a manager, he directed me to the customer service desk. I don't have time for that. Besides just being a waste of my time I also had frozen bread which I wanted to get home quickly in this 90° weather. So I'm giving the 5 stars based on my prior experiences. I wanted to leave 4 1/2 stars but that's not an option. So I'll give Publix the benefit of a doubt with a reminder to management that South Charlotte is sussing you out... we've seen it many times before: new store opens. First year or so the customer service is very friendly and knowledgeable. Then after the trainers have been out of the store for a few months things start to slip. Don't slip Publix! Customer service is all you've got. I can shop somewhere cheaper. I can shop somewhere with better quality meats or breads or deli. Customer service should be your anchor. You started off great. But the seams are starting to show. Don't disappoint us. I can always Instacart and you would not even be on the list.

They also had a great selection of honey, exotic jams, and spices (all of which I would have gotten had I not been flying home with limited luggage space). Everyone in the shop was very nice and it was so cool to meet so many people of diverse nationalities. Definitely enjoyed my shopping trip here!
