The check-in person was super welcoming and told me about some of the other dance formats offered there. This dance studio caters to both children and adults. So you will see kids running around, which is ok, but I am not really used to. The class started on time. The instructor had great energy and encouraged us to have fun and do things our own style. I haven't been dancing in a while, so I knew it would be a good challenge for me. I really had a lot of fun. My only surprise is that the classes are only 60 mins. I think they ought to be 70 minutes to include a proper 5 min warm-up and 5-minute cool-down. There wasn't a lot of warming up in the beginning of this particular class. I've taken adult dance classes for years and I am used to something that include some warm-up movements to get the rotating joints going, like neck rolls, shoulder rolls, and hip and lower back movements. The class did include a relaxing cool down with stretching for the lower body and upper body. I plan to take more Hip-Hop style classes. They offer Cardio Hip-Hop, Beginner Hip-Hip and more advanced levels, Sensual Dance, Twerk, Ballet, Shuffle, Street Jazz and a lot more. I plan to try about 5 more formats and sign-up for one class for the summer session. I highly recommend this place!

The negative review about the costs is uninformed. The costs are similar to most other reputable dance academies. The quality of dance instructions at this academy is very good. I didn't realize that these were part of ballroom dancing until I arrived. I found this place via MeetUp, and they had offered to introduce me to their class. And, knowing me, I love trying new things, so I couldn't help but jump on the offer! To make things even more fun, I proposed this to a first date, and *spoiler alert* he is still part of my life, haha. So, what does that mean? This place has some magic brewing about. The class: It was about 1 hour long, and I felt completely at home. It was an introductory class where we learned the basics of ballroom dancing. I love how the "leads" have to ask the "followers" out for a dance prior to dancing with them. The whole experience was met with tons of smiles, laughter, and memories. I'm definitely coming back for another class once I figure out my schedule, and I couldn't recommend this place more! They make you feel right at home while ensuring that you have a fantastic time here. I also loved how they teased me about my date, haha. And, yes, he enjoyed it as well! Michele was fantastic--patient, encouraging, and so much fun to work with. She taught us a few simple steps that completely transformed the experience. She also liked the kiddie roller coaster and was able to figure out how to reset it and climb up to ride it herself!! Parking the first time was a bit confusing because Googlemaps takes you to the smaller lot which I believe is for the church but there is a bigger parking lot in the back of the building with the main entrance to the sports facilities. We're sad that the last Thursday family field time is coming up on the 22nd but we'll try to keep an eye on when they'll be happening again. Friendly staff and kid friendly facilities!
