PPM was fantastic. I had to get a 100-foot tall oak tree removed from my small backyard in Detroit. It was up against my neighbor's garage, and not easy to access. The crew was polite, professional, and took care of it within about four hours. They were able to use the very tiny space and safely removed the tree with a crane, ground the stump, and cleaned up the entire area on multiple properties nicely. The storm took out a large Maple tree in my yard. I called them at 9am. They had a formal quote to me, scheduled and completed the work by 6PM. Outstanding job and they did an excellent job of clean up. I would definitely recommend PPM to anyone needing tree service. read more

Careless and unapologetic. Knocked down limbs on nearby tree when a guide rope wasn't used. Grass unnecessarily damaged. Repairs were made, but scars will remain. Probably OK for clearing land, but I wouldn't recommend for close-in work. read more

My experience with PPM was EXCELLENT. Requested a quote via email on Monday afternoon, received an email from Patti to let me know that they would show up the next day to provide the estimate which I received from Steve first thing in the morning. I asked when they would get to the work, and was told this week. They were out the next afternoon to take the tree down and cleaned up nicely. Ladder used to get on roof left gouges in the fascia board on garage. No call back when I left message about this. Equipment tore up the yard more than I anticipated. Speed to get job done seemed more important than being careful about potential damage. read more

I tried communicating with the company after an estimate was done for a The house is in Westland. The job consisted of many weed trees close to the ground. One small tree in the front yard was estimated at $350 which is way out of range compared to all otner companies. The total estimate was.$1350. No tree climbing would have been necessary. I countered the estimate with a fair price of $1150. I was played around with for a week just to get a simple yes or no answer. I was just completely blown off. My only conclusion is that this company doesn't truly want to deal with homes in the westland , Garden City, Redford area etc... and would like to keep their business services in the west Bloomfield, Farmington hills homes. Completely disrespectful after being told I'd get a call and didn't even get a yes or no. Absolutely no excuse for complete unprofessionalism. If you live outside the "Bloomfield" homes outside the "money" areas I would suggest absolutely going with someone else. They don't really want that business and your wasting your time. Seriously. Your company wants to jack me after how polite I was with you then jack you. I completely misjudged these people. read more

Without going into the numerous issues that I had with the services that were provided by PPM, the most unnerving issue was the lack of professionalism displayed when addressing my concerns. in my experience, Brian, the owner of the company, seems to lack the understanding of customer service and professionalism. I would not recommend PPM. read more

I posted a review of this company several months ago because PPM is the name under which I paid this company, but for some reason Yelp has removed my report, claiming that it is a duplicate. I post it here again: On the positive side, the five or so men who had to remove a very large tree that had fallen on my roof were excellent, hardworking, smart, pleasant, efficient. But I reluctantly give the company a poor rating because Brian let me down. One large section of the tree was cut but dropped near the stump and was not removed. The equipment gouged my driveway and nothing has been said about that. Furthermore, the large tires churned up the backyard, a lot. Brian said he usually had grass seed but not that day and said he'd come back. Despite a polite reminder texted to him, he has neither replied nor returned. Be very wary of promises and try to find another company, getting assurances before the work that they will take care of your lawn, driveway and other areas of the yard that have nothing to do with trees. read more
