There was a 30 minute window and after a long week and day of skiing I splurged on treating myself despite it only being 30 minutes. Place is warm and inviting. Small, but doesn't need to be any bigger. There is a waiting area for pre and post treatment with water, tea, and chocolate. I never got my massage therapist's name but she made thirty minutes feel like an hour. Focusing on the back and scalp I was relaxed the entire time. The hot towels were a surprise too. I talked to the owner for a bit afterwards and I initially booked a two hour slot a couple days out since I was sorta still going to be in the area. But, there was an ice storm coming and I changed my plans to head home the day before. But now I know when I get back up here to be sure to book another appointment!

I asked her not to yell and she said it was because I told Jess I was going to leave reviews online. I let her know that was unacceptable and I would not be treated like that. I asked her if she would refund my money as I would no longer be utilizing her services. Mind you, I've spent thousands of dollars there, I would implore her to research my account and see how much money I've spent. She said she would, and I asked if she or Jessica could call me when completed. I instantly got a "No, I'll cut you a check and I don't have to call you when it's been cut". Again, screaming at me, being rude and acting like a disrespectful professional. I have no idea how she's made it this far with her business and lack of professionalism and acumen, but I can only imagine it's because there is no real competition around. Beware of how the Diane owner will treat you should you have a conflict and want to address the challenge in a mature fashion. Unfortunately, frontline retail employees come and go (it's the nature of business) but loyal customers are hard to come by. Diane, thank you for showing me your true colors and how you operate a business. The State of Vermont may do nothing, but I will share my sanitation concerns with them and request they pull camera footage to corroborate my story. I would suggest next time someone has a concern, listen, act like a lady, try to resolve the matter and like a respectful business owner would. Hailey won't be there forever (and I ultimately wish her success) but word of mouth, reviews and how you treat your customers lasts forever.

Scheduling was easy, and her office space is right in the heart of Essex Junction. There is plenty of parking behind her building. She does work on the third (top) floor of the building, and I don't believe there is an elevator. But once you get to her space, it's neat and cozy. It is REALLY hot today, but between her air conditioner and a small fan, I was totally comfortable. Amanda is very friendly and professional, and she gave me a very careful, thorough massage. My goals for the session were pretty much just to relax and enjoy the time, and hopefully to avoid falling asleep. It was a success by all accounts! Don't hesitate to give Amanda a try, you will be pleased!
