The ProPig wasn't quite open yet so I was walking around town and seen this place out of the corner of my eye. It was valentines day and had zero expectations of there being any openings as a walk in... I was wrong. There was a 30 minute window and after a long week and day of skiing I splurged on treating myself despite it only being 30 minutes. Place is warm and inviting. Small, but doesn't need to be any bigger. There is a waiting area for pre and post treatment with water, tea, and chocolate. I never got my massage therapist's name but she made thirty minutes feel like an hour. Focusing on the back and scalp I was relaxed the entire time. The hot towels were a surprise too. I talked to the owner for a bit afterwards and I initially booked a two hour slot a couple days out since I was sorta still going to be in the area. But, there was an ice storm coming and I changed my plans to head home the day before. But now I know when I get back up here to be sure to book another appointment! read more

Everything was perfect. I called two days in advance and they took care of our couples massage with no problem. Kiki and Yumei were very professional. The massage was thorough and relaxing and the atmosphere was peaceful. It wasn't rushed, even though we came at the end of the day. You can really sense they care for you! We called last min and they were able to fit both my husband and I in for a lavender body treatment. While tiny with only two rooms, the place was a dream for the negative winter temps of Vermont. After a few searches to determine what area to stay, I found BHAV on Yelp. BHAV's proximity to Stowe, Bolton Valley, Mad River Glen and Sugarbush, gave us options for where to stay and ski. Planning a Spa visit for someone else can be a bit stressful, but Zack and Danielle were very organized and easy to work with. That carried over to the day of the treament. From the moment I arrived I felt warmly welcomed- I love the offer of a heated neck warmer and tea while waiting! Booked a 80 minute relaxation massage for 2 people during our trip. The massage was heavenly for the both of us! Danielle and Jess were both amazing! There's a beautiful little seating area available near the treatment rooms for before and after. Plenty of parking in the streets and there is a paid parking lot as well. There was some construction going on, but that was already forewarned through the email and text they sent after booking. Would definitely come again if we make our way to Stowe again! read more

My experience was not what I was hoping for. When you arrive you fill out a questionnaire on areas you would like extra attention to. I marked 3 areas that had zero extra attention to if at all. I asked for deep tissue and I only received a rub down with oil. I ended up dropping the money on a very pricey Royal package because of so many good reviews but was disappointed as I didn't think my massage therapist had any real massage skills or techniques at all. I'm sure other massage therapists are better but I was not happy with service. read more

Me and my boyfriend came to BHAV as a birthday treat for me, and it absolutely was. I got the 90 min body facial, which entails a choice of aromatic oils for my full body scrub, followed by a light shower and then a full hour body massage. It was so relaxing, refreshing, and I left feeling totally invigorated. Danielle (the owner) was friendly, welcoming and and even had 2 champagne glasses with kombucha (in lieu of champagne because we don't drink) sitting out for us as we arrived. I'm not a Yelper, and I talked myself out of writing this review for a month, but if I'm still thinking about it, I'm going to. I tried to talk to the business owner personally about this, but the snotty treatment I received leaves me no choice but to be another internet troll. I moved here from Connecticut two years ago, and have been trying to find my "place" to get facials. I thought I found it here, without having to drive out to Burlington or go all the way home to CT, like I did for the first 6 months I lived here. The facial was very very good, the massage was great. I booked another appointment with the intention of making it a monthly occurrence. On the day of my next appointment, I had just gotten back from a twelve-day business trip the night before, and just came off of 24 hours of traveling, and was hoping I could move the appointment to whenever was convenient for her. I called first thing in the morning to reschedule my appointment - knowing that I was within my 24-hour window. They weren't open yet, so I left a voicemail and I wrote a long email asking if I could possibly move it, as I was dead to the world. I figured if they said no, and I would have had no problem dragging my butt there, but was hoping for a yes. I called again a little later in the morning, no answer. I heard nothing back all day. At one o'clock, I got an email and a credit card charge for a missed appointment through her system. I called to try and talk with her, and was met with a diatribe about the plight of small business owners, and how dare I expect to cancel, and don't I know how businesses work? Don't I know how hard it is to be a small business owner? She cut me off a million times, barely let me get a word in edgewise, ticked off all the other places that have a similar policy, and when I asked if she got that morning's email, snippily told me she was too busy that day to check them yet. And if she was just nice, and got back to me that morning, I would have come in, no problem. Yes, I know how small businesses work. One way they work is having to work a little harder since you don't have a big staff (read your emails - I know it's tough, but we all have to), you have to rely on personal connection (you had no problem letting your system contact and charge me, but when I tried to talk to a real person, I got told off), and you rely on word of mouth referrals. I had just spent twelve days with about eleven women from vermont who all frequent spas in the area, and was telling all of them about BHAV and how great you were. Now they all got a follow-up personal message about my experience when they asked me how my appointment was. So here I am, behaving like a typical middle-aged white woman leaving a novel on Yelp, something I have never done before. I'm so disappointed by my experience, and will gladly drive 40 minutes to a bigger place in Burlington just to not be treated like some girlfriend you were pissed at. But I'm glad you got that 120 bucks from me. I know how important that is to a small business. read more

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with warmth. I didn't have an appointment but instead stopped in to see if they could give me an eyebrow wax. Anya was the woman who waxed my eyebrows. She was extremely professional and thorough. The main reason I felt drawn to write this review is because I have gotten my eyebrows waxed for 14 years and I have never had an experience so positive. This was the least painful eyebrow wax I've ever received. The quality of the wax is incredible and Anya was gentle (so gentle that I questioned if hair had even come off, but of course it did). My eyebrows have never looked or felt this good! Following the wax Anya gave me a tour of the treatment rooms, all of which felt refreshing the instant I walked in! I have been going to BHAV for waxes and massages for about a year. BHAV is such an asset to little Waterbury! I love the small and private space; it's super clean, and has great energy. When you arrive, Danielle and Zach offer you a cup of tea and a warm neck wrap before your treatment. In my opinion, the experience here is so much more pleasant than going up to one of the big resort spas in Stowe. Danielle works with the best, safest, natural products. For Brazilians, she uses mostly hard wax which is the best and most comfortable in my personal opinion. The conversation is also great to boot! I chose the Body Bliss Tranquility treatment and it was honestly so amazing that I can't even put it into words...you need to experience it.
