Each room is set up like a pretty standard dental office, very clean. On my first visit, they told me they like to do a full set of x-rays just to get an idea of what my teeth are like overall, but my insurance didn't cover for a full set. So they told me they will still do the full x-ray set, but just write it as whatever my insurance will cover, and they will cover the remaining cost. How great is that?!? The staff is wonderful and courteous, also very punctual. I'm never waiting in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. The cleanings are done nice and quickly, I'm in and out in less than an hour. Dr. Vaandehaar is great! He always makes suggestions for me to consider, but is never pushy about getting anything done that isn't absolutely necessary. For example, when I had a cavity, he obviously strongly recommended that I take care of it asap. But when it came to some preventative things, he told me what was going on, and what some options are and said it's something to think about. The only complaint that I have is, they do send A LOT of appointment reminders via email and text, multiple times leading up to your appointment. Yes, you can totally opt out of it, so I guess this is really on me. Also, TDC is the only place that staff actually came in and sang happy birthday to me during my cleaning. It was so sweet! By far the best dental office I've been to. Highly recommended. (And I'm not just saying that because of the singing)

I am a bit concerned about their prices, they charge $49 for the fluoride treatment, every other dentist I've been to across the three states I've received care in has charged $19. The fluoride was the same, the price was $30 more which does worry me about what their prices are like outside of what is covered by insurance. When I brought up this huge discrepancy, other dentist in the area and asked why there was a difference. They were unable to fluoride treatments cost more here. When I asked about booking my next cleaning, I was told they didn't have availability until way later in the year and that I would need to call back to get an appointment so I could use my two free cleanings per year. The staff was great, my main concern is price gouging especially when the services are the same.

However, if they late cancel your appointment they aren't accommodating for a re-schedule. Unless you can re-arrange your life expect to be several months out--as in at the time of your next cleaning. As a professional myself if I have to late cancel someone due to unforeseen circumstances I make sure to go above and beyond to accommodate a re-schedule that is convenient for the person because I value the time they set aside. I guess I should always remember that not everyone has that same level of professionalism.

Dr Andersen and crew have always been friendly and professional. They provide wonderful care. At 68 years old, I've been to a number of dentists over the years. Dr Andersen and staff are the best! I'd like to add that yesterday an old crown that had been placed by a prior dentist fractured and chipped off. I called Artisan Dental last evening to see if I could get in today. I got a return call at 7:15 this morning, was in their chair at 9 AM, and was done with a new crown at 11:15 AM. Thank you so much Rochelle, Dr Rehermann, and Cassie for such speedy, kind, and professional service. I have no idea how people could have had negative experiences. After going at least twice a year for 8 years, I've always been treated exceptionally well. It's true the office is like a very hip spa, and the equipment is state of the art, but the most important part is the people that work there. They're incredible.

The waiting area was warm and inviting, I already felt comfortable. I was a few minutes early so enjoyed catching up on the news. My first visit was two hours, x-rays, exam, & cleaning. My hygienist Carla was outgoing, detailed, & made me feel at ease. Doctor Kathy was very friendly, thorough, genuinely seemed to care along with being very down to earth. I was not raced in and out but given some great tips how to better improve dental health along with some laughs. The entire office has a good feel/ vibe. After my first appointment though, I am (mostly) not dreading my follow up appointment! The building itself is straight out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine, very comfortable and clean with obvious aesthetic appeal that made me look at my own home decor in envy. They have a very comfortable waiting room with some fun things for anyone who might have some nervous kids - or adults who are kids at heart. The staff was very easy to talk to and professional. They answered my laundry list of questions, some of which probably toed the line on what is and what is not their actual responsibility. Special thanks to Sky who helped me feel calm and at home as we watched a cooking show on the tv above the patient chair (nice!). Lastly, the complete transparency during checkout was really a huge selling point. They showed me a complete breakdown for my follow up appointment so that I could make adjustments as needed and avoid any awkward sticker shock conversations. Thankfully, my insurance covered most of my appointments, but I know that is not always the case for everyone; the transparency during scheduling is telling of their business model! He has the highest skill level for technique and results. He is thorough and comprehensive in his examination and treatment. At first I was like, "wait, what? I've been getting regular care right along- how can there be so many issues that need to be addressed?" And then he started fixing them and I was like, wow, so that's how my mouth could have, (and should have been)! I've always feared and dreaded the front teeth upper gum and pallet novacaine shot, because it's a lot worse than a "pinch." But not with Dr. Jon. His technique gave me more of a slow pressure, not a painful pinch, which amazed me. And somehow he dialed in the exact amount- I had no pain at all, yet when I was done, my upper lip and nose didn't feel like I'd been punched, there was just a slight tingle that went away very shortly. The office staff is also great- appointments were handled with skill, multiple options, and accuracy. I am always greeted with warmth and friendliness, especially by Kayla. I'm just guessing here, but there might be a rule that only nice, pretty women are allowed to work there, I'm joking yet it seems to fit the observable facts. I am very glad I switched, my only hesitation in writing this review is that he'll get even more busy and it will be tougher to find an opening in the future... Still, my highest recommendation.

Even better, there were some cancellations and I got in for a first time appointment within two days. Despite the current environment, I felt good about the precautions that are in place. You've got to call from the car to check in before entering, stand on opposite sides of the lobby from other patients, traffic flows in one direction, and everybody has on masks (some people even two or three). Overall the office is clean and modern with the latest equipment. Will was my hygienist and was fantastic. He was incredibly thorough, explained every detail/reasoning behind each step, and kept up good conversation and laughs throughout. Although a short time with the dentist, she was thorough and informative. I don't know if anybody will ever look forward to the dentist, but this spot made a solid first impression!

I was traumatized by several dentists and orthodontists not listening to me, not taking my pain into account, even later on as an adult. Dr Boucher and her assistants reconciled me with going to the dentist, and I am no longer scared. Not only do they explain everything, answer any and all questions I have, show me the X-rays and teach me to read them... They also have consistently been the most thorough and the most comprehensive dentists I have even been to. They truly treat your teeth and your oral health as an important part of your body health, not a separate one. Dr Boucher asked a series of questions regarding my sleep, my medications, and my work, that I was never asked before. Turns out, it was playing a role in a problem I have, and we're now able to fix it. The clinic is small but not stuffy or congested, and very comfortable. There are bright colors, plants, plenty of sunlight, and nature sounds playing very low in the background. If you have anxiety about medical and/or dentist care, this helps a great deal. If you don't, it'll still be very pleasant. Everything is extremely clean but still comfortable, and I always feel safe going there. Last but not least, the administrative workers are also friendly, never rushing me, yet efficient. Long story short: if you are scared of going the dentist, come to Dr Boucher for friendly yet rigorous, and empathetic care.
