I was a patient here last year for anxiety and PTSD while I was still on MN Care. The doctor seemed…read morenice and all was well. I went to two monthly appointments before my doctor decided to call my next one off on the day of due to "illness." I thought this was strange, due to the very strict attendance policy they lay out for their patients (patients have to pay a missed appointment fee). Nevertheless, I gave it a pass and figured I would reconnect with them later to schedule a new appointment. Boy, am I glad I didn't. During a visit with my primary physician, I learned that the doctor I had been seeing (Dr. Sandra Schleter) had me taking a medication called buspirone at nearly 2x the normal dosage. Not only that, but after researching online, I found out that all the warnings associated with buspirone state that one should only be on it for a maximum of 5 weeks. I was on it for 8. Ironically, I feel much better since quitting this medication than I did while I was on it! And here's the icing on the cake: on 01/14/18, nearly 2 months after my last appointment with these people, I have received a bill for $14.79 with no explanation of the charges. My appointments were always fully covered -- why am I being charged now? Disputing the charges ASAP. Do not deal with these people if you can avoid it!

Be careful - Calli schedulers made a date mistake when scheduling my appointment, then tried…read morecharging me a "no show" fee of almost $100 for that appointment that I didn't make. If they had been professional enough to give an appointment card when scheduling the appointment, or given a courtesy reminder (phone, mail, anything), then the error would have been caught and corrected ahead of time. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised to receive a bill for a "no show" when my appointment was still a week in the future! I called to inquire and have it corrected, and instead was told "too bad" by the therapist and then hung up on. Yikes. I was seeing this therapist for help with treating my anxiety - but since their business practices and troubling customer service seem instead to exacerbate my anxiety, it looks like I will need to find a new therapist, asap.

After my third infusion I thought it wasn't working so I was going to stop. Well a few days later I had some thoughts pop into my head about things I had previously thought negatively about; however, my feelings were changed about them. I was kind of blown away. So now it's been a year and I am so happy with the person I am today. Even other people tell me how I've changed. The office staff here are so amazing. They are very professional with a side of absolute compassion. I just love them like family. I've loved my treatment so much that I have added a Ketamine Integration Therapist who works here. My therapy is going so well. She is amazing. I've also added an MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC professional to work with me on medication management. One other great thing is I am a 59 year old woman and was finally clinically diagnosed with ADHD and finally being treated for it. That has made the biggest difference as well. So, I feel like all three services being provided has made the hugest difference and change in me. Please go here if you are struggling.

"Depression, anxiety, and suicide is becoming an epidemic within our society. I've lost family to suicide and the grips of depression continues to have a deep dark hold on many that I love. Ketamine is on the cutting edge, with research showing significant treatment benefits where traditional anti-depressant medications have failed. I'm excited to be a part of something that can offer hope to so many where sometimes there appears to be no hope. Ketamine is that hope."

If you are considering this facility for your child's acute psychiatric care, please be aware of…read morethe profound lack of environmental safety and administrative accountability we have experienced. My child has been here for nearly three weeks, and the facility has completely failed to provide a secure environment or work cooperatively with me as a legal guardian. Severe Supervision & Policy Failures: The staff routinely fails to maintain consistent line-of-sight supervision. My child successfully mapped out the unit's architectural blind spots to avoid surveillance cameras and staff sightlines. Furthermore, patients from completely separate units are allowed to cross over into his unit in direct violation of the facility's own security policies. Resulting Self-Harm: Because of these unmitigated environmental gaps and loose unit boundaries, my child engaged in unauthorized contact with female patients. When staff finally intervened, the lack of follow-up supervision allowed him to immediately retreat to a blind spot and commit physical self-harm. Medication Concerns Against Guardian Directives: The medical team, esp. Dr. Bontanager has pushed medications that pose dangerous physical risks to my child's diagnosed genetic condition, while flatly refusing to consider safe, non-stimulant pharmacological alternatives that my child is actively requesting to help curb his compulsive impulses. Zero Administrative Responsiveness: Communication here is a brick wall. The attending psychiatrist and nursing leadership completely ignore formal, written requests for a second medical opinion and safety adjustments. When questioned about how they plan to prevent future self-harm or boundary violations, the nursing supervisor refused to provide any specific answers, using HIPAA as a false excuse to withhold safety planning from a legal guardian. This facility is currently functioning as a passive holding tank rather than a safe therapeutic environment. They are completely non-responsive to parental directives and are failing to enforce basic physical security to protect vulnerable youth.

PPG's website lists an approval rating of 4.87/5 with 38 reviews at the bottom of their home page…read more Looks good until you notice the big red flag. No attestation nor references to where those reviews come from, and no link to read the reviews. If you go to their "Testimonials" page, the reviewer must leave their FULL NAME and email address for PPG to see. This again is a huge red flag. Requiring that a person leave this information in what may be a poor review of psychological services that they depend on? That they may have no other choice of provider? Of COURSE its going to be all positive reviews. What person receiving poor care for these services is going to risk themselves? You can't tell me this information doesn't make it to their files. I've had two different providers assigned to me in two years. Both - despite regular appointments - have been clueless of our past conversations (Balan and Gibson) and I end up explaining myself, repeating information, and no real help. - Provider seems to take extensive notes, but I still end up repeating myself, "As you told me in our last appointment," "As we discussed in our last appointment," "As I told you in our last appointment..." - Direction and advisement on medication interaction and side effects were extremely poor - Direction on stopping a long-time medication were also extremely poor Their $70 no show/24-hour cancellation policy would be fine - IF their appointment scheduling and confirmation worked or was consistent, or if the patient had the ability to log in and SEE their appointments - past and future. It's not. It almost as if the scheduling/appointment system is built to get a payout on the policy. I know several people who go to PPG and all have the same problems: - providers being the 'no show', not the patient - no consistent appointment reminders or confirmations - poor directions on reminder calls (when I do get them) that don't state the date/time, "you have an appointment coming up in a couple of days", sent on a SATURDAY when the office is closed, and no way to verify until they open on Monday morning - No sign in portal for patients for viewing billing, payments, or appointments - Confusion - nearly every time - around in person or Zoom - Providers unable to get Zoom to work In addition, getting prescription refills has been a nightmare. I get anxious every time because I know it will be a mess. - Prescriptions regularly sent to the wrong pharmacy - despite verifying with the provider EVERY TIME - Pharmacy needing contact from PPG, despite PPG's phone message saying, "contact your pharmacy" for prescription questions -- the pharmacy sent me to YOU because they can't transfer the prescription - Some providers tell you to send them a message directly. Some say to leave a message on the website contact us. Some say to leave a voice message. The answering machine says "contact your pharmacy." NOTHING IS CLEAR.
