I came here following Yelp advice. I got to say I was disappointed. Here is why: 1. The doctor spent a total of 5 minutes in the room with me. I felt like she was in a rush to go somewhere else. I felt like she was judgmental when I answered some of her questions and she scolded me. I do not go to the OBGYN to be patronized. I also felt like she refused to answer some of my questions. 2. My pap test was sent to a lab that was not in network with my insurance company resulting in me having to pay for a test that should be covered 100% . I am still fighting this with my insurance company and hope for a good outcome. However, I had NEVER had another doctor send my tests to a lab that is not covered by my insurance and I have had the same insurance for years. If the doctor is taking my insurance, shouldn't she make sure to send the tests to a similar facility? I was never asked if I had any preference on the lab handling my tests. 3. My prescription was incorrectly sent to my pharmacy. This would not be a big deal but my pharmacy is kind of retarded (Express Scripts) and sent the incorrect prescription to me immediately without me having the chance to verify it. The incorrect dosage caused me to end up paying 3 times as much for my medication. In order to correct it, I had to call the doctor's office 2 times to ask them to re submit the prescription. The first lady that I talked to was really mean and refused to send the prescription to me directly, it was not until I called again one week later and talked to someone else that my problem was resolved. Still, I did not need to wait two weeks and spend time making calls back and forth between pharmacy and doctor's office. 4. No parking Validation, I would assume that the office would have some kind of deal with the building but no, 6 dollar parking every time I don't think I am going back to this practice next year. I have had much better experiences elsewhere and I am tempted to make the trip back to Virginia to see my old doctor next year. read more

Great overall experience! Food is delicious, I highly recommend the Chicken Pot Pie. The nurses are all friendly and very nice people overall. I don't like recommending a hospital but if I did I'd recommend this one!!! read more

Dr. Yadav is great. I needed to find a gyno here in Boston, and asked around to the few people I knew in the city at that time. Most of them came from towns that were near by, so when it came to these types of appointments... they just went home. I was new to Yelp and so at that time didn't know how to perceive the views people wrote about doctors... especially ones that are getting so *personal* with you. "Hi, nice to meet you.... let me introduce you to my va jay jay..." I finally found someone who I had started to know fairly well, and low and behold they had a doctor in the city. Yay! My initial joy was cut short when I found out they weren't accepting any new patients (boo!), but lucky for me she recommended Dr. Yadav. Dr. Yadav is very friendly and has a great bedside manner. She explains everything that she is going to do, what you can expect, her staff is all really helpful, it sounds like she works with a lot of different insurance companies, and her location is hella convenient. She's accessible both by car or by T (just a hop skip and a jump walk from the green line), and if you choose to drive... there is a large parking lot that only costs you $3 for an hour... or $1.50 if you can get in and out in 30 minutes (not usually going to happen at the doc's though.) Another huge plus... she is on time. Both appointments I was seen only 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time... I've only had that kind of service at my "I've got German punctuality" dentist. Dr. Yadav is going to make you feel comfortable, and when it comes to these kinds of doctors, that is just as important as their skill and knowledge level. read more

Dr. Yadav is excellent. She is very knowledgeable, warm, gay-friendly/non-judgmental, confidant, down-to-earth, and just very likable and very personable. I have a number of gynecological issues and through all of my testing, blood-work, and surgeries she has only ever displayed the utmost professionalism and care. To top it off, she does practically painless PAP's! Update: When I recently felt like I was "cheating on her" by having gotten a 2nd opinion for a potential surgical technique she said "I say absolutely go for it. Don't worry about it at all!" and THANKED me for finding another doctor who she could refer people to if that particular issue arose again with another patient who might want to seek a 2nd opinion. How many doctors would be so frank, honest, non-threatened, and just wonderful about a situation like that? If you're thinking of switching your GYN or have recently moved to the area, I cannot recommend Dr. Yadav enough. read more

Dr. Yadav is wonderful. I have been going to her for 10 years and will continue to be her patient even if it means driving hours out of the way. Her support during my pregnancy was top-notch and my delivery with her went super smoothly. Recently, I have needed several procedures performed and she went out of her way to fit me into her busy surgical schedule right away. She even rearranged her schedule with a colleague so she could be available for me when I needed her. I always feel at ease under her extremely competent and thorough care. One tip: if you go into an appointment and have questions, it is helpful to have them written down ahead of time. She works and thinks very quickly. She isn't trying to rush her patients - her brain just works faster than most! read more

I've seen Dr. Yadav twice over the past 2 and half years. Dr. Yadav herself is very nice however it seems as though the office is not run efficiently. Both times that I've been there I've had to wait in excess of half and hour-- not great if you are trying to get to work as soon as possible. The knock-on effect of the office running behind schedule is a rushed examination. I think I spent no more than 15 minutes getting the actual exam done. She does ask if you have questions for her, but my sense was that she was just asking out of obligation. I get the sense that she may reserve more time for her pregnant patients. To echo one of the other reviews, I did feel as though she was a little judgmental about some of my personal preferences regarding contraception. Bottom line- She's OK but needs to focus more on the patient care aspect and office operations. read more

Awesome Ob/Gyn.!! My wife and I could *NOT* have found a better doctor for our first pregnancy. To top it all off, she works at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which is probably one of the best hospitals in the country....and did I mention she went to Harvard Med.? Her clinic in Brookline is very conveniently located, the staff is excellent and Dr. Yadav herself is very, very friendly and personable. She explains every question you could think of in as clear a manner as possible and very patiently. Highly recommended. My wife and I have become big fans of her....and her practice. read more

Dr. Yadav is wonderful. She is very competent and truly cares for her patients. She delivered my baby last year at Beth Israel and I can't imagine having a better experience. It's funny to mention this but every single doctor or nurse who examines me compliments on my incision (I ended up having a c-section), which is barely visible. Same with my son's circumcision. All three pregnancies went great and had a great experience in Beth Isreal all three times. She is so caring, sweet, smart and is the kind of doctor that everyone looks for. When I moved to Boston last year, I chose Pramila Yadav as my OBGYN because of her good Yelp reviews. I was extremely disappointed... 1) For everyone who said she is non-judgmental- I got a VERY different vibe. I felt super judged. I've honestly never felt so small in front of a doctor before 2) She is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. She works in a hospital half of the week, which means she's only accessible to her patients 50% of the time. I tried calling several times and was always leaving messages with the receptionist. Dr. Yadav NEVER returned my messages. At my previous OBGYN, whenever I had a question, there was always a nurse who was on call to talk to a patient. They were always so welcoming and helpful. Not the case with Dr. Yadav. 3) She seemed rushed the whole time. I felt like she left before I had all my questions answered. She didn't make me feel like I was a valued patient. I can't believe she's gotten such high reviews from other people. I've never felt so judged before and I am never going back there. read more

I had a slightly traumatic OBGYN experience with Dr. Yadav. After waiting for over an hour, I was brought into an examining room which still had the previous patients dirty linins on the table. Dr. Yadav started asking me about my sexual health with the examining room door still open, then proceeded to give me a colposcopy and then took a biopsy without giving me advanced warning. I'm not even sure I needed a biopsy and felt that maybe she did this for an insurance kickback (I always question these things after obtaining my degree in public health). I had to ask for follow-up advice (Should I take an aspirin for the pain? When can I use a tampons again?) and left her office feeling completely violated and shaky. read more

My first impression of her being energetic, passionate and enthusiastic doctor completely changed with subsequent visits, and I do regert for choosing her as my Obgy. She seemed totally uninterested and unconvinced in the type of birth I wanted, not did I find her supportive and caring through my pregnancy,and found her very opinionated all through. She is extremely busy accepting as many patients as possible, and then given less than a minute time to each patient. Disappointed, was stressed and the entire crew and hospital experience made me end in a c-section for multiple reasons.
