Our 8 year old daughter was having some issues with one of her adult teeth that she had broken about 5 months ago and had bonded. Her regular dentist was not in and when she had the initial injury, we were given a card for another dentist in case of emergencies. Her tooth pain got so severe that we tried to contact the referral dentist. Because it was 9pm on a Friday night, of course the office was closed. They left a number to call for emergencies so I figured I would try at least. I also texted. Pranav Vohra D.M.D. responded almost immediately even though he was out of town. He recommended we had her seen because she would possibly need antibiotics. He was right, she had an abscess and that was what was causing her the terrible pain. We started the medication and then he did see us that Monday and performed an emergency root canal to relieve the pain and drain the infection. He did great with our daughter and she is MUCH better. He was honest and walked me through everything I would need to do/know. I recommend this office and Pranav Vohra D.M.D. To ANYONE in need of a dentist. He even followed up himself the next day with a phone call. They have two offices, one in Hazleton, PA and one in Kingston, PA. We were seen at the Kingston office but will be following up at the Hazleton office because it is closer to home. read more

I've seen Dr. Vohra several times over the past 5 years when in need of root canal therapy and related treatment. The staff has always been very friendly and empathetic when I have visited. What was expected of me regarding billing and insurance coverage was always clear and hassle free, unlike many other health care providers in the area. When I was young, long before I had a root canal, I was terrified of the procedure. As a result I lost a tooth in my mid 20's. Once I had to have it done with Dr. Vohra, I was in my late 30's and I was left wondering what I was so afraid of. After being numbed, I experienced no pain during the procedure and with medication management and proper care taken afterwards, only some minor discomfort, which was to be expected. I will definitely use Dr. Vohra again for any future needs. If I am to have this procedure done, I want it done by an expert. Since Dr. Vohra limits his practice to root canals and endodontic surgery, I feel more comfortable having him do the procedure than I would someone performing general dentistry. read more

Many people don't use yelp to find a dentist and only those with negative thoughts will take time to find multiple places to leave bad reviews. ** Dr. Vohra is excellent and I had have been through horror story appointments! I have been to see Dr. Vohra multiple times in the last few years. He has made emergency appointments for me and always calls a few days later to make sure I was doing okay. Never had a doctor call personally and not just have staff check in on a patient. Root canals are not a fun experience by any means. However, a dull moment never went by the entire time I was there. Dr Vohra and his staff are truly amazing! I had been having severe pain for three weeks. When I couldn't take it any longer, my dentist referred me to Dr Vohra. I was devestated to leave my regular dentist even if It was only temporary. I don't like change. I was also terrified my new bridge was going to be destroyed and my smile ruined. My abrehension quickly turned into relief, smiles, and laughter. They were able to squeeze me in immediately. They were all so very kind, compassionate, and understanding. I don't know of anyone who really likes root canals, but if you need one, Dr. Vohra is who you want to have do it. I needed a complex procedure and he was incredibly compassionate and took every measure to minimize the amount of discomfort I experienced. He is very empathetic and truly cares for the well being of his patients. He even called me the day after my procedure to make sure I was doing OK. I have had calls from other doctor's offices after the visit but this is only time the doctor himself personally called. Dr. Vohra is the best! read more

In the process of replacing an old bridge, I was not happy to learn I needed a root canal before my dentist could finish the work started. I am glad he referred me to Dr. Vohra. Dr. Vohra has a great staff, the office is clean and welcoming, he even kept his word calling me himself to follow up after the procedure. Dr. Vohra is the best! My husband texted him on a Sunday evening because he provides you with his number and was able to schedule me first thing in the morning. How many dentists give you his cell phone number, call you to make sure that you are doing well after your procedure, and apologizes for how much the needle will hurt :) Highly recommended for any root canal. Fantastic Doctor and staff. I have high dental aniexity and was in for a root canal. My teeth happen to sit on a nerve so I was in for a treat.
