I went with family on the first night it opened last week and we had a pretty fun experience. The parking lot is big and they had parking attendants showing you where to park. The person who scanned our tickets was friendly and she greeted us as we walked in. Once inside, we explored it all. It was a pretty busy night but we were able to see it all. The train ride was the highlight of the night and they did a great job on each theme. The ligth show was also pretty cool and unique. The snow show was a fail at 7:30pm but when we went back to a later time, it finally worked. The miniature houses were super cute and we were able to take pics with Mrs. Claus. I made an error when purchasing tickets and reached out through their "contact us" email... and received zero response. No customer service whatsoever. We bought VIP tickets at $80 each, and honestly, it felt like a holiday heist. Several areas were closed off with "private event" signs, including the cookie-decorating section we were looking forward to. The so-called VIP lounge is an absolute joke -- they should be embarrassed to label it as a perk. The only alcoholic option was a bizarre mix of rum, margarita mix, grenadine, and Sprite. It tasted awful, and I watched multiple people toss theirs in the trash. The only other "specialty" drink was hot chocolate spiked with peppermint schnapps. Everything else was basic and absolutely not worth the price. I've been to plenty of holiday light events for a fraction of the cost that blew this one out of the water. The only highlight of the entire experience was the Cowboy Christmas show -- a short 15-minute performance with genuinely talented, improvisational actors. Overall, I do not recommend this event. It felt like a mediocre money grab. The Pratt Brothers really lived up to their name. read more

Rawhide has a wonderful setting with its old Western buildings, which creates an amazing and nostalgic atmosphere the moment you walk in. Mrs. Santa was sweet, friendly, and perfectly in character, and the roaming Gingerbread Man added a fun, playful touch. Both characters took their time with the kids and were great for photo opportunities. The train ride was also a highlight--fun, well-designed scenes, and somehow there's a sweet scent that drifts in here and there, which genuinely impressed us. Entertainment overall was good, but difficult to locate. Aside from the main light show--which is truly the showstopper and absolutely amazing--it wasn't clear where anything else was happening. There is food available, and it's probably great, but it's tucked away in tents/food trucks near the entrance with little visibility. Apparently Santa was taking photos as well, but we walked right past the area without realizing it because there was no signage. The gun show was also positioned next to Santa's area, again without clear signs, making it hard to understand what was happening. In fairness, maps are available, and I'm sure they explain everything, but better signage and use of the existing buildings would have made the experience much more engaging. There is a cozy firepit area where you can make s'mores (sold at $9 for two), which was a cute touch. For us, the evening was enjoyable but not worth the $25 Groupon price. Based on the advertising, we expected much more elaborate lighting throughout--similar to the quality of the main light show at the end of the street. The light parade, in particular, did not meet the level of production suggested in the Pratt Brothers' promotions. Overall, it was fun, but we will not be returning. read more

Second year going. Had a great time, and with just adults. First year we went on a quieter night, and that is definitely the way to go if you don't like crowds. This year, we went on Christmas night. Still had fun, but there was more wait times. The synchronized lights house is fabulous. This year, there were live drummer boys performing in the streets that were wonderful. Roasted some marshmallows at the fire pits. I would recommend offering a bag with just more mallows for those not wanting (or who can't have) chocolate. Daughter loved the reindeer poop balls too. Snowfall show, cute train trip thru lights, yummy drink in a boot, good cocoa. Interesting history exhibit on the brothers, who are Dave Pratt's kids for my other AZ oldies. Loved the gingerbread graveyard this year. So cool! Dusty the Horse is a favorite too. The shop upfront (whose name I must remember next year, Ivy maybe) is a not to miss. They have lots of fun & interesting things at all price levels, great for gifts or you. There is also a Gun Fight Santa show, parade including Santa, cookie decorating, search events if wanted, food trucks, other stage show events, some fun photo opp stops, the jail is open, and more. We easily spent 3 hours there as just us adults. read more

Came here for the first time with my mom as she is in town for the Christmas holiday. Seen many videos on social media. The place did not disappoint! Yes, it is expensive but I think that's how the brothers can keep the place up and afford to put on such a great show and place. We came around 8pm which was the perfect time as it wasn't too crowded. They have two shops to shop at and many places for hot chocolate, s'mores, small movie theater, a cowboy show, and you can't miss the gingerbread house light show that runs about every 20-30 mins. It's either best to get there early or wait till close to the end to catch the train ride to see the lights. Which also tells a cute story along the ride. They also have an area where it tells the brothers story of how it all started to where they are now. A great place to take the whole family or a cute holiday date. I say it's worth the money for the experience. read more

I want to start by saying that we had a great time spending time with our family, but we wish our experience at Pratt Brothers had been better. We selected a time slot from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to see Santa. When we arrived at 7:30 p.m., we were told that Santa was not available because he was getting ready for the 8:00 p.m. parade. The staff member suggested that we return after the parade. We got back in line around 8:15 p.m., and there were only a few groups ahead of us. However, it wasn't until 9:25 p.m. that we were finally next in line. At that point, I asked if we could return to the front of the line after the last gun show, which started at 9:30 p.m., as we did not want to miss it. We were told no and that we would have to get back in line to see Santa. As a result, we missed the gun show. This raises the question: what is the purpose of having a scheduled time slot to see Santa if it is not honored? We planned our entire evening around that time. We were also a large group of 17 people, which makes planning especially challenging. When we finally met with Santa, the experience felt very rushed. Because we are a large group with multiple families, I did not have the opportunity to take all the photos I wanted. Additionally, when I downloaded the photos, many of them were very blurry, and faces were difficult to see. We paid over $100 for photos that were not usable. Lastly, alot of the areas were closed for a private event. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience, and unfortunately, I will not be recommending Pratt Brothers to anyone I know. read more

Perfect to get you in the Christmas spirit. Great as a date night, with friends, or with family. I would recommend getting there right when they open to get on the train because the line gets very long. There is a parade, a couple shops, food (carnival type food trucks), and drinks available. There is also a western stunt show, but the line was too long so we did not see. We also did not do the s'mores making or cookie decorating because the line to buy them was too long. This was the reason I did not give 5 stars - there were way too many people and I feel like they over sold tickets. There were long lines for every single thing. If you can afford the VIP tickets, it would be worth it for this reason. We still had a good time though and I would recommend checking it out at least once! read more

This is a great holiday experience for families. The gingerbread house is amazing, with synchronized lights and music, and was definitely the highlight of my visit. The holiday train ride was also a lot of fun, filled with animatronics and even infused with smells (the s'mores tunnel aroma was delightful!). Cowboy Claus sat astride his horse, Dusty, and played guitar and sang Christmas songs with a cowboy vibe. Tons of fun photo opps everywhere. There are lots of other activities, like cookie decorating, stunt shows, and a scavenger hunt. Drinks were reasonably priced (spiked hot chocolate for $10), and there is ample free parking. The ticket prices for adult admission (around $40) feel a bit steep and I wouldn't pay that price to visit again, but it was worth it to experience this event one time. read more

Entrance is $43 per adult with fees to see a few houses plastered in lights. Aside from their gingerbread house which does put on a neat little show, you can find far more interesting light displays in neighborhoods around town. You basically pay to shop in a couple shops with very little merchandise, and eat at one of two carnie type food stands. Definitely make sure you eat elsewhere before you go. We had really high hopes for this experience after all the marketing but this felt like a waste. Maybe if you're just looking for a festive place to drink with friends, this could be cool. Otherwise go to the Princess or one of the other Christmas experiences. read more

Definitely not worth it. Waited over 2 hours to see Santa. The line was not long but entering we were told the line would take hour and 15 minutes. We accepted it and split up. Husband stayed in line with baby and 2 year old in stroller while I took our 6 and 4 year old to do the other activities. Well MAYJOR FAIL. There were no other activities to do without also waiting in line for over an hour. If you have kids close to the ages I mentioned, I would recommend Schnepf Farms, The Princess or Desert Lights. Had great times there throughout the years Lines are long at all those places as well, but there is a lot more to do for similar price point. read more

This was the first year my family has been to the Pratts Brothers at Rawhide and we decided to splurge on VIP tickets. We arrived at 6pm, opening time, and headed straight over to see Santa. While getting in line, the staff made us aware the wait for Santa at that time was 1 hour and 55 minutes, Which is absolutely absurd given it was just opened. She said the previous night the wait was 3 hours and 45 minutes and laughed it off, which was very rude. Of course there was no VIP line for Santa, just have to waste your entire time there in line if you wanted to see Santa, which of course, was one of the only things my son wanted to do. Thankfully, we did get the VIP And we were able to ride the "unlimited" train once bc of that short line, until after 7pm when even the VIP was insane. The general admission line backed all the way up into the city, past the cookie decorating. Those people probably waited in line for hours, And I bet Sam waited and didn't even get to get on the train. If you cannot accommodate all of the people, I'm not sure why tickets were sold to all of those people. Plenty of other Christmas events I've gone to usually sell out the day or two before, so that things like this don't happen. We weren't able to go to the shootout show either due to the incredibly long lines at each time, 7:15, 8:45 and 9:20, we tried them all. What a joke. I'm well aware that these events can get very busy And crowded, But clearly, your venue did not have the capacity for all of the tickets you sold. After paying $240 for three tickets, I left with a crying 7 year old who didn't get to see Santa, with one day left before Christmas for me to take him somewhere else. At least the Pratt brothers made some money though, as that truly seems to be all they care about. I have never been this disappointed for what was supposed to be a fun family filled Christmas event. A very disappointing Saturday evening at Pratt brothers Christmas. The place was obscenely crowded and every activity had a wait of 2 to 3 1/2 hours. It would be impossible to see Santa or do the train ride without waiting most of your time there. Our grandkids did not get to do either. The parade is cute but short and some of the cars are not lit up. Brochures are not handed out till you arrive And are not necessarily clear about when things occur. Some of this information could be on line with your ticket. Everything ends at the gingerbread village light show which is impossible to get near. The lights that you can see are pretty. The shops are fairly empty of merchandise and crowded of people. Food is limited once you are past the entrance with hot chocolate being the main feature. The parking lot is not marked with aisle numbers so you can find your car when you are done. Be aware of the walkway is mostly gravel and dirt and not good for older people. Bathroom facilities are small with long lines for ladies. Such a disappointment and many opportunities for improvement. Timed entry and limiting capacity would help satisfaction. We were planning on having dinner at the steakhouse but found out the steakhouse wasn't open but they had some food trucks there. I had high hopes but was actually very disappointed. I spent $240 to bring my kids and four grandkids ages 7 and under. It opened at 6:00 and we got there at 6:15. Took us about a half hour to get into the gate which is not a great start with little ones. We ate burgers and hotdogs which were fine and then went to get in line to see Santa. There were maybe 20 families in front of us so we jumped in the queue. I am not exaggerating when I say that my husband and I were in line for 45 minutes and the family that was in the front of the line WAS STILL THERE ie: we hadn't moved. A few families got out of line so we moved up a bit. I thought maybe Santa took a break and went to the front to ask. The family in front said they had been in line for 2 HOURS! I guess everyone gets 5 to 7 minutes with Santa so the line CRAWLS. My four year old grandaughter cried when we told her she wouldn't get to see Santa (2 days until Christmas). Every person in line would have been happy to see Santa for 30 seconds. Who needs 7 minutes per person??? We thought we would at least get a ride on the train (our 2 year old grandson's request). We again waited in line for about 15 minutes to get to the start of the queue to be told it was another hour at least to ride. By now it is 8 pm, the kids are melting down and we have done NOTHING fun! All the lights are beautiful but all just building facades. Not much to do but walk past them. We left tired, dirty (fine dirt everywhere) and defeated that our pre-Christmas celebration wa a bust. Sadly, I would not recommend. read more
