I had a great experience at the Regal Gilbert movie theater and would absolutely recommend it. The concessions team was fun, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made grabbing snacks a breeze. Bonus points for the cotton candy--it was fresh and surprisingly delicious. The theater itself wasn't very crowded when I went, but it was clean, well kept, and comfortable. The recliner chairs are a huge plus, and the seating is arranged in pairs. That does mean for a packed movie you might end up sitting next to a stranger--personally, I'm in the "the more the merrier" camp--but it's definitely something to know before you go in case that's not your thing. Between the comfortable seating, clean space, and great staff, this is an easy place to recommend. I highly suggest checking it out for your next movie night. read more

Disappointing Experience & Zero Holiday Grace I purchased two movie tickets as a Christmas gift for my fiancé to see Song Sung Blue on Christmas Day. I gave them to him Christmas morning, and we headed to Harkins excited for a nice holiday outing. When we arrived, they let us scan in and enter the theater. Once inside, we realized the movie was already playing and people were sitting in our assigned seats. Confused, we stepped back out, checked the marquee and then our tickets--and that's when I realized I had accidentally purchased them for December 24th instead of the 25th. I immediately went to the box office to explain the situation. Before I could even fully finish, the "manager" quickly shut me down with a blunt "There's nothing we can do." No attempt to help, no "let me check," no "hold on while I ask," not even the courtesy of pretending to care. I understand that this was my mistake. I fully own that. But mistakes happen--especially during the holidays--and a little grace or basic customer service would have gone a long way. Instead, it felt like, "Too bad, so sad. You're out the movie, the money, and the experience." We go to Harkins often and spend a lot of money there. This was supposed to be a special Christmas moment, and instead it turned into a frustrating and upsetting experience. Policies are one thing, but kindness and customer service--especially on Christmas--should still matter. Very disappointed. read more

I've never been to a movie where the only folks in the theater in the middle of the day was me and my brother but the experience wasn't particularly luxurious. There's something very cold about this place, maybe it's the fact that they had a single person checking tickets AND working concessions. And on the subject of concessions, it's evident business was slow since the popcorn was abysmally old and stale, overly salty and genuinely unappetizing, a true shame as a good popcorn makes or breaks an experience. My brother ordered a hot dog that made him ill after a few bites and he described it as "jerky like". I'm not entirely sure what the ritual is for food rotation on a slow day but it was evident that they do not have any issues with serving old food. read more

This is a good theatre for me because of the location. I've always enjoyed coming here. The main downside is when it gets busy they don't keep up with the bathroom cleanliness or stocked up. I went during thanksgiving break to see Wicked2 and really enjoyed it. There was a newborn in my row who briefly cried but parents handled it quickly, so it didn't bother me much. Overall I would still return just hope they improve the bathroom upkeep. read more

For convenience decided to come here to see Accountant II as this was the closest theatre to me. Kept hoping the movie would get better but never did so that was disappointing but of course that's not Regal's fault. We came to watch the 11:40am show and did not see any other customers and we had the entire theatre to ourselves which was very nice:) The popcorn was warm and fresh and service was kind. If you're looking for an inclusive experience with food and drinks, this is not the place but the theatre was clean and the reclining seat was comfortable. I came to see the 3:30 showing of Wicked 2 on a Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend. The lobby is small with a concession stand. I prepurchased my ticket and the nice man at the concession stand scanned it. I purchased the kids snack pack so I had a small appetite. It was $9.20 including tax. It includes a small soda, small popcorn, and a Welch's fruit snack. It's a great deal! The theater is roomy. The seats are recliners. There's plenty of space to fully recline. Went last night for the first time - we watched Final Destination which was a terrible choice but that's neither here nor there for the purposes of this review - ha! Tickets were easy to order online, the theaters are small but clean. Cozy recliner chairs. Reasonably priced - maybe $2 less than competitors? We didn't get popcorn, which I regret but did get some snacks. Was bummed they don't have a bar. The thing I liked least was the insane amount of commercials at the beginning. Our movie was scheduled for 7:50pm - it started at 8:20pm because of ALL of the commercials. This is hard when planning times for a babysitter plus just really unnecessary for that many commercials - not even all previews - just SO many commercials! read more

Saw a movie over break with the kiddos here. Staff was super short & a bit condescending when you asked for certain items. It was a ghost town which made it nice to not have to pack into a theater with lots of other folks. The location is interestingly in the middle of a non-denom church that has most of the other buildings around the theater. Went for special release. The tickets were easy to Purchace online and we picked our seats. Signed up for Regal club and got a perk of $2.00 large popcorn. Ordered the Hot dog $ Pepsi combo. Was charged $6.99 for hot dog and $7.49 for Medium Pepsi that was flat. I asked the cashier if the Pepsi was really $7.49 and she said yes we have to ring the combo up that way. We got a large Lifewater and it was only $6.49. Would have thought it would be in a reusable cup for $7.49 and not flat. SMH read more

Their promo to save $5 pre-buying multiple tickets is a misrepresentation! Unwilling to admit their own oversight (by not noting it was not applicable to purchasing multiple tickets) they refused to make it right. Their customer service was polite, but condescending which was absolutely frustrating. The theater was clean and temperature was good. The gentleman at the concession counter and the one cleaning the theater were both friendly and welcoming. I was in theater 14. Some of the arm rests on the seats were torn. There was a weird white noise sound coming from what I'm assuming was the AC vent above me? It was loud! As far as the food, popcorn tasted a bit stale, soda wasn't carbonated, over all not happy at all that I came here. If I could get my money back and leave I would, but unfortunately I came with my kid and don't want to ruin her experience. read more

We set out for date night to watch Champions. I used gift cards and ordered our tickets and chose our seats online. We chose a 7pm movie so parking was ample. There weren't any lines and we were greeted at the door and with a quick scan of the barcode on my phone we were off to enjoy our movie. I haven't been to the movies in forever so I was pleasantly surprised when I sat down into a chair plush as a cloud. Built in the side is a button to recline and return to sitting. I'd like one of these at home! Nice big cup holders and large arm rests for plenty of space and comfort. This particular room was a small theatre with only a few rows of seating but a perfect size screen for the ultimate viewing pleasure. We enjoyed this experience and have even set another movie date on the calendar at regal :) read more

Nice cute theater hidden behind retail and apartments. Seats were very comfortable and clean and also recline. Would definitely go back. They have International films as well and overall not bad an experience to avoid large theaters and crowds. I haven't been to Regal in years and went to see a movie there last night. I forgot how great the place was! The theater seats are nice quality and clean, not to mention comfortable! The ticket prices are not cheap but not the priciest so you have a happy medium. We drive from south Gilbert to see movies at Regal now, instead of going to a movie theater closer to us. Mainly for the seats that are more comfortable as well as movies like Sound of Freedom and The Chosen series being shown at Regal (they weren't available at AMC). This is the only regal theater in AZ and I quickly learned why. This place sucked. Lobby was filthy. No real food. No alcohol. Poor screen quality. I only chose to come here because of the alleged sand worm popcorn for Beetlejuice. Apparently they only had enough to supply the first three minutes of customers. What a bait and switch. Get with the times Regal or just advertise that you are a theater that is not like others...meaning you suck. read more

Ah Regal! My second home! It came as a shock and surprise to find out this was the only Regal theater in the Phoenix/ Mesa/ Scottsdale area. I would think for such an awesome theater chain they'd have many more locations especially in Phoenix! Walking in I knew I was at home! Minus the digital kiosks this one had a beautiful lobby and the basic concessions. Going through the hallway to the auditorium I noticed the signs were very steampunk retro it was neat! The best part about the place, recliner seats! Not enough Regals have this great luxury. Keep up the good work Regal! Also please add recliner seating to all theaters. It's a definite must have! Don't use the app--they charge a convenience fee to use it and since they are not busy currently (according to an employee as well as they eye test), just show up. Seats clean and comfortable. I have no info on concessions because I don't buy such at the theater Sound and screen quality great which is nice considering the drivel Hollywood metes out. Because of the great seats. I will give them 2 stars, it was a 725pm movie start time. The movie started at 753pm. At 725 there were 10 minutes of commercials, then 18 minutes of previews. I am use to the 15 minutes of previews starting at show time. I paid to see the movie not 10 minutes of commercials. And this place has the worst popcorn. And this review has nothing to do with the movie i saw it is solely on the theater. But if you have not seen meg 2 yet do yoursely a favor and skip it. The shark in jaws looked more reel and that movie came out in 1975. Lol read more

Pros: The theatre was completely empty, we were the only ones. The seats were comfortable (leather recliners) and the staff was friendly. Cons: The popcorn was cold and stale (waste of money!). They do not serve alcohol like most other theatres do now a days, they also do not serve food like most others (besides a few candy selections and popcorn). I visited on 1/29/24 and the theater surpassed my expectations. I watched Godzilla Minus One Minus Color. This was my first visit here, and it was quite slow. Pros: Friendly staff- I was treated kindly as if I was a friend of the employees, they respected my wishes when I visited the concession stand and didn't try to empty my wallet. "Fair" prices- The ticket price was comparable to most theaters nearby but I had mixed feelings about the auditorium. I only got a what I believe was a medium soda at concessions, which was both bigger and cheaper than competitors nearby. Cleanliness- this is most likely the cleanest theater I'll ever see, I could not find a single loose piece of garbage or popcorn throughout my entire visit. Auditorium- amazing seats that feel and look brand new, along with roughly 1.5 cup holders per seat. Cons: Auditorium- the screen did not go wall to wall and was not designed with modern wider formats in mind, and due to the steepness the back/upper section people were capable of standing in the way of the projector with their head blocking the show (also allowing people to make shadow puppets). Age- the theater overall felt aged, outdated, and in need of repair. The neon signs inside and outside didn't all work. Showtimes- the movie started 20-25 minutes after the posted showtime. This actually came in handy for me as I forgot about the movie until 2 minutes before the showtime, giving me time to get ready to leave and drive all the way over, still arriving before the previews finished. Overall I had a great experience here, I probably won't visit again unless invited by others, but would recommend this location to anyone wanting to watch a movie near downtown Gilbert. read more
