Sometimes offer suggestions on the project you're working on. Have a good return policy and never give you any hassles when returning something. Menards prices are better than Home Depot and Lowe's. I love their trash cans. My mom actually bought one from here. The Brute ones are amazing and cheap. Great for yard and trash. They have a large section for paint and wood supplies. Anything you can think of, they have. All the the necessary tools as well. Even ladders for outside work, painters, or anyone. One of my favorite things was the storage bins. Perfect for storing away things taking up space. They have many other sections like plumbing, automotive, and hardware. A useful area for me is the doorknobs and padlocks. I was looking for new ones. We also saw lots and lots of tooks for everything. Their biggest section may have been lawn. The lawn area have sprinklers, tools, weedwackers, blowers, lawn mowers, hose, bird feeders, plant food, insect control, fertilizer, grass chemicals, and grass seed. They also have grills and propane. Some of the tools are useful for yard work such as shovels and rakes. It's seems like a great place to buy painting and lawn items more than anything else. I did see some items priced higher than other stores like the cleaning supplies. They do also have some cheap steals.

As soon as I stepped into the store a very polite young woman by the name of Rebeccah asked if I…read morewould like any assistance locating what I was looking for. When I said yes and explained what I needed, she immediately said, "We have those, right this way and I'll show you right where they are". Upon showing me the item in package form, I explained it was hard to tell if the size was correct, plus I only needed one. Rebeccah explained that they also have them in bulk and she lead me right to them, took them off the shelf and handed one to me to compare to the sample I brought. When I verified the size she filled out the required envelope, put the item into the envelope and asked if there was anything I needed. After hearing that was all, she very nicely started walking with me towards the register and once she saw I was headed the right way she told me to have a wonderful day. The only way my shopping experience could have been better would have been if this young woman delivered the item to my door. Rebeccah is a real credit to Stone's Ace Hardware and I sure hope she gets some recognition for being such a great Associate.

I assembled it at home and noticed that one of the pieces had cracked when I installed the screws. After a number of futile attempts to contact the manufacturer and not getting any positive responses I returned the chair back to the store where Anthony waited on me. He proceeded to tell me that they would order me another chair and he would personally assemble it himself. I couldn't have asked for anything better than that. I have been coming to Gilbert's for a little over 10 years now. It seems they always the things the box box stores don't have. This is a hardware store the way hardware stores used to be. I come in here mostly for stem and diverter rebuilds for the old bath/shower systems in rental properties: they will rebuild the hot, cold and diverter stems while you wait. I have always been very pleased with their services and they also build screens for windows and replace screens if you bring them in. Overall, Gilbert's is a great hardware store with good pricing and very helpful employees.

The sales associate explained the screen options available and I chose one that was more durable for only less than a dollar more than the other option. The associates are friendly but sometimes there is a wait to find available assistants. If you find one who is busy they will call on their walkie talkie for another associate to help. The store itself is a standard Ace that is nothing out of the ordinary from other Ace stores I've been to. I find the Ace app to be helpful because it lists my purchase history, points, and coupons.
