Great Lakes Ace hardware has mostly everything you need for a Home Improvement, Automotive, DIY projects or those breakdown needs! I've been a resident in the area since 1992 and a shopper at this reliable store. It has gone through a few name changes, (ACO, and ACE Hardware), yet the merchandise, staff and organization has been always operating in a friendly helpful way for a "local" hardware store. Upon walking in this location an employee is always ready to greet and offer help in finding a small or large item for a quick repair or major project. Sometimes there are many employees working in different areas that can help with the stress of a DIY project with their expert advice. Yes there are the two "Other Big Chain" home improvement stores, but Great Lakes Ace is always easy to shop being nearby, compared to driving in traffic on M59. :-) The organized layout of this store makes shopping efficient. Some areas offer videos, helpful checklists for those DIY projects. This store has a phenomenal selection of products: Hardware, Home, Window & Door Weatherization, Fasteners, Door Knobs, Locks & Hardware, Key-Cut Service, Driveway Maintenance, Everyday Essentials, Grilling, Home Goods, Lawn & Garden, Lighting & Electrical, Outdoor Living, Outdoor Power Equipment, Paint & Supplies, Plumbing, Pool, Tools, Smoke Detectors, CO2 to name the top items. Recently my current landscaping company which I have contracted for 10 years, has stopped lawn fertilizing due to the COVID-19 which put Me in a stress mode. Now is the time for Spring with new grass growth and dandelions. This store has a fertilizer price sale going on till April 30 plus $5.00 off per bag when downloading their App to carryout /curbside pick up. Yes I did opt quickly on this offer and it worked out in a happy positive way. I've had to run up here many times to grab a plumbing part or another piece of hardware. As far as their services, I've had keys made and paint mixed. We also purchase our lawn fertilizer here each year and bags of topsoil for any yard or lawn repairs along with grass seed etc. Their deck stains are another item we buy when it's time to spruce up the color of the deck. It's a handy store indeed and whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall- the nicely laid out aisles and seasonal department usually have what we need. From small items to large, they have you covered and if it saves a trip to the big box stores, then you've saved yourself some time as well. The store is always neat and clean which is always something I notice when entering any establishment and that speaks volumes that they care about their customers.

Sometimes offer suggestions on the project you're working on. Have a good return policy and never give you any hassles when returning something. Menards prices are better than Home Depot and Lowe's. Ace is almost always my first stop for anything hardware, but in the future, I definitely will never again buy their KeyFobs.
