I adored the lime, poppyseed, and blueberry roulade! It was gone before the soup and toastie sandwich arrived. Crispy on the outside and so very soft and tasty on the inside. The cookie pie was impressive, but I honestly liked the roulade so much better. The soup today was broccoli and it was delicious! I had a ham and cheese sandwich lightly grilled in a panini press. Mom had a chorizo sandwich. The ladies at the bakery were lovely! Friendly happy folk always make food taste better! The bakery was quiet and not busy at 12:30 pm. It wasn't empty, just not busy. We got a table for 3! It was funny (and also a sad commentary on humans) that the still water available said "Please turn the tap off." Silly people. Thank you so much for a wonderful lunch! My very first time I came I tried a vegan cinnamon bun. It was warm, soft, and had that sweet caramelization from the sugar on the bun. It was soooo good. After that, I kept coming back about once a week to grab a treat and sometimes a drink. Everything I've tried has been so delicious and the staff is always very kind. If you follow them on Instagram they even sometimes release what goods are in the shop since they switch it up! Tasty Buns definitely became a go to of mine and I think there is truly something for anyone with a sweet tooth!

It's also a nice little cafe selling soups/salads/sandwiches and cakes. I've only ever had their bread but I'd consider it for a bite to eat if I was in the area. It doesn't take card unfortunately which is a shame as I rarely have cash. It's not the cheapest loaf but it seems in line with most artisanal bakeries. I think it's worth it and any time I've gotten bread here it has been rather quickly polished off.

The young lady beyond the counter on my first visit was very friendly and helpful, providing some lovely advice and tips for my trip (including for my proposed visit to her native area of England); if any manager/owner is reading, she gets major props! The gentleman who was working on my second trip was also friendly and helpful z but he was working on the back as well, so there was less interaction. Between my 2 visits, Zi tried a variety of pies, pasties, & rolls, all of which were very tasty (although there's something about a Greggs sausage roll; I'd stick to the pies and pasties here, and walk a couple of doors up the street for one of those.). But we all have *those* days, don't we (and they're usually Thursdays). The type of day where you fall out of bed late, there's nothing in, and you dash out of the door unfed and unprepared. Kelly's bakery is my saviour for these kind of days. Not only do I pass it on my way to work - so no further delays - but I can also get a breakfast butty, a filled roll for my lunch, a sweet treat (for the extra Thursday-ish Thursdays) and still have change from a fiver! My personal favourite is the chicken mayo salad roll - filled to the brim, there's greenery in there so it's obviously healthy, freshly made and only £1.40. So if you're dashing past here, do take a minute to swing in and get yourself something to eat - I promise you that Thursdays* are easier to handle with a happy belly. *bakery also available on other days
