What an incredible first time experience I had at Women's Choice in Lakeland, FL!!! I am currently…read more16 weeks pregnant and was unsure as to where I should go in regards to help with baby preparation (i.e. parenting classes, breast feeding suggestions, necessary baby items, car seat safely, sleeping safety, parental encouragement, etc.) While using google to find resources, Women's Choice popped up, so I gave them a call. The very first phone conversation with a young lady named Angel, was absolutely delightful and very informative. She was polite and explained the program in detail- I never felt rushed or uncomfortable with the questions I needed answered. She took her time with me and was very patient. Angel scheduled me for an appointment the same week I called and kept in contact with me prior to my appointment. Once I arrived at the facility, it was homey, clean, organized and inviting. I was assigned to Mrs. Amy for the intake process and what a blessing she was to me that day. It was as if I was talking to my mom, my counselor and a teacher all at the same time. She went above and beyond to educate me about the programs offered and to actually listen to my story to see how Women's Choice could best assist me in this pregnancy and after birth. She actually brought me to tears with her sincere compassion and empathy. She made my experience one that I will NEVER forget. During the same day, after my intake process, they were actually able to get me in for my first ultrasound!!! I was excited and nervous, but the ladies at Women's Choice surrounded me with love and affection. Angel (I think the name says it all) was a breath of fresh air as she completed my ultrasound. She made me feel calm and relaxed while doing my ultrasound - I was so nervous. But those beautiful individuals helped me through a very tender moment in my life and I am so genuinely grateful for Women's Choice. I would definitely recommend this program to any women out there who are undecided or don't know where to go for help during pregnancy. Trust me, it will be the best decision that you make for you and your little one, whatever decision you decide. Women's Choice will be a support system and resource that you will NOT regret. I called and shared this as well, was told that a manager would contact me, and I've heard nothing else. That misinformation then caused confusion with my doctor's office. I was 21 weeks so a week past my anatomy scan ultra sound to check on my baby, they set me up to get one and very quickly which I appreciated so much. I got a call back from the their office shortly Ofer my ultra sound to hear some not so good news that I am now high Rick pregnancy and I'm not able to have care at their facility, then they went ahead and set me up to get further testing and I love that they took it upon them selves to do that for me instead of call me and have me deal with it all on my own.. Today 3/30 we have a routine wellness check up for my 12 month old son. I checked in over the phone as usual and for some reason this time it was different I was asked hella questions over the phone which last time I was given same questionnaire but was on a paper. They met us in the lobby 11:17 AM, I was thinking great early today because our appointment was 11:30 am. We went to the room the nurse this time was different, she's not the usual nurse that's helping us. So this nurse I think she's new (black with long hair braided) I have never seen her before, I didn't get her name since she didn't introduce herself took our son's weight and height and then left. 10, 20, 30 minutes went by and we're still waiting for the doctor, mind you our appointment is at 11:30 am. At 11:57 am we decided to just leave the office because it's like we're waiting for nothing, opened the door and saw Dr. Christopher Tappan sitting on his computer, told him we've been waiting for him to see my son. His answer " I didn't even know you're here", with a smirk, no sorry, nothing. Wow this is very unprofessional we literally waited for nothing, they wasted our time! Basically the nurse that checked us in didn't even communicate to Dr.Tappan that we're in room 8 waiting. This is the worst of all the worst experience here. We are never coming back to this place. They don't value their customers' time. All they care is their time and the money they'll get. Don't even try to bill us for this appointment I'm telling you I'm going to call my insurance for this.

I made my appointment. I arrived a few minutes early and was taken to get my X-ray in less than 5 minutes. Everyone there was very polite and kind. It's nice to have a choice, and a good choice at that! I will always go to Highland MRI in the future.
