Superior Floors to the rescue!!…read more Before moving into our new house, we had the tile replaced with vinyl plank (LVP) by another company, who really screwed up one of the rooms. There was a giant soft spot since they started removing the tile but then stopped and just laid the vinyl planks over the tile, including the big hole they left. We went round and round with the first company to try getting them to fix it, until they just stopped showing up or returning phone calls. I found Superior Floors on Yelp and called them to see if they would be willing to fix someone else's mistake. Ryan came out to evaluate the situation and came up with a plan. A couple of weeks later, the installers came out, removed the poorly laid vinyl planks, removed the tile that was supposed to have been removed by the previous company, and reinstalled the planks. The floor is now solid and looks great! I appreciate their willingness to come out for a smaller job and fix someone else's mistake. They'll be my go-to for the future!

We indicated a need for flooring our kitchen and bathrooms at short notice and he worked with us to squeeze us into his already busy schedule. He didn't have to accommodate us like this. Secondly, he not only showed up on time but a few minutes early ready to work. He asked us what our preferences were with regards to orientation of our LVP when really he could've just laid the flooring out in a way most convenient to him. He gave us the option of whether we wanted to have the trim removed, then replaced afterwards whereas other flooring pros wanted to just leave them in place and use quarter rounds. I realize this may be easier for installing purposes but it looks tacky. Jean didn't complain when we elected for ours to be removed and put back after. All this and he still quoted a price that beat out the competitors, one of them by nearly half!! Lastly, Jean was kind. During one part of the install he came across an issue that could've prevented the install. Not only did he still complete the work but he helped me address the issue in the first place when he really didn't have to. We were so impressed by Jean and his work, we asked him to do other flooring we previously had no intention of having completed. I'm so glad we did, our home looks so great thanks to his install. To directly address their continued claim they were misled and a rogue employee performed the install, we have on camera Ricardo Naldi (the registered owner) coming to my home to bid the job, and then himself and three other employees on the following days coming in RNALDI branded T-shirts and in an RNALDI labeled vehicle to perform the install. No one was misled; RNALDI had every opportunity to inspect the site and perform an assessment of the materials to be installed. They sold us the glue and the vapor barrier as evidence by the checks they endorsed and cashed. The result of the work speaks for itself. We relied on their alleged expertise and professionalism, as well as their assurance that their work was insured. I am not sure why either Ulysses or Ricardo continue to state here misleading information or deny responsibility for the work they themselves performed. We will now pursue other options in order to remedy this situation.

Prior to Paul coming out we had two other tile installers try to install our herringbone backsplash. Neither did well. Paul came by the house to give a quote on the day he said he would and came to do the job on the days he said he would be here. Paul is respectful and clean. Each day he was here he made sure to clean up the area he was working in as well as the area where he was cutting the tile. The work he did is truly impressive. We hired Ben Trento to tile our living room, kitchen, laundry room and a small bathroom. Ben…read moreTrento had absolutely NOTHING to do with the physical work. He sent subcontractors, Superficially, the tile in the living room was straight, but there is white mortar peeking up through the brown grout in many places. We pointed that out to him while his people were preparing to grout and his honest estimation is that "They're old men with bad habits, and it is just as good a job as you can ask of any tile company." They splashed grout up every wall in the living room and kitchen and onto all my newly installed kitchen cabinets. We cleaned the cabinets just fine, but the grout had to be cleaned off the walls and repainted. Moving on to the bathroom. The shower floor has blue grout, yes, you guessed it, white mortar is peeking up through the grout everywhere, We had to clean the blue grout off of the shower floor tiles, and there is white mortar as high as the top of the tile all over the shower floor. Now we must find a different tile installer to rip out the shower floor Ben Trento's subcontractors installed and redo our shower. Additionally they set the drain crooked, not a big deal, except it is obviously crooked, and Mr, Trento tried to convince us that we don't know how to measure and it isn't really crooked. Stating maybe it is off by less than 1/16th inch. I would recommend that if Ben Trento is going to do the job, sure hire him to do your job, he is knowledgeable. If he sends over subcontractors, then don't let them into your home unless you want to redo the job through another contractor. So now that we have discussed the Service, and the Quality, Let's look at value. Ben Trento is not a cheaper than others option. His pricing is at the higher end of the scale. He also overestimates a bit, since I returned nine boxes living room tile 10 bags of mortar three boded of bathroom wall tiles. The only reason I mention this is that you are paying for the ESTIMATE. When the contractor estimates additional square footage, you are paying a bonus to that contractor for work and materials that are never delivered.

They do good work however their business operations and scheduling is a headache. Both times using them we were happy with finished product but it was the journey getting to the finished product. On the first house they estimated it would be 2-3 days to complete an entire 3 upstairs bedrooms, hall and staircase. 2-3 days turned into a week. Their typical work starts strong, and the one person shows up the following days to complete the remainder alone. Same thing happened to the 2nd house but this time they forgot to order flooring needed to complete a 3rd room. The overall work is great but their customer service is over promised and under delivered.
