Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend. We will never use anyone else and will always recommend Strickland to family, friends and strangers. Strickland is like family to us!!

Found Strickland on Yelp. Page after page of chat describing my needs. Stickland's owner Jeremy commits to having a tech at my home to give me a final estimate and complete the work on Monday morning, Labor Day, at 9am. NO ONE SHOWS UP ! I have the entire chat exchange from Yelp. I call Strickland and I am told they can find nothing for a service call for me. WHAT ???? After repeated calls, I finally get a call back from Trice, Stickland's service manager. I am told we dont service your area and our owner lives in Stephenville and he would never schedule an appointment for service in the Dallas area. Then I am advised, I was never chatting with Jeremy... the owner of Strickland but rather I was chatting with Yelp AI assistant... NOT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE... RATHER AUTHENTIC IGNORANCE IT IS... NO INTELLIGENCE WHATSOEVER !!! The conclusion, they have no one available... they don't know me... dont know what my needs are... don't know what was agreed to... don't work in my area... Willard Air, Heating, Plumbing, Electrical came out this morning for full system review, AC & furnace system components. Brilliant work; very thorough report walk-through with photos. Impressively professional and thorough. The guy George was awesome. They complemented the check up, up front. There aee some good catches that we can get fixed today, and extend the life of the compressor. Heartily recommend. Willards should be ashamed of themselves....but they won't be because they are shady and have dragged Top Gun down to the gutter with them. I've had nothing but negative interactions with them since they sold, but I keep trying to give them a chance because of how awesome they used to be. I'll just address the latest one. I called them out to service my mini split. The Top Gun tech that came out was great. But couldn't find the problem because of course the mini split started acting right when he came out. A few weeks later, it started making a noise while it was off. I called again and they sent a guy from Willards. This guy (I won't say his name) told me that my levels (that were just checked a few weeks prior) were low. I said how is that possible. He said there's a leak and it would cost over $800 to find it. So I called the office to complain and the office called him. Mysteriously, the levels "returned to normal". I told the office I didn't feel comfortable with this guy, but they assured me everything was fine and let him complete the work and they'd give me $50 off for the "confusion". This guy proceeds to take my mini split apart and says that my fan was caked with dust (it was) and needed to be cleaned. I asked him to clean it and he says that he doesn't work on mini splits and doesn't feel comfortable doing it. Ummm then why was he touching it in the first place! So, I called the office back, they said they'd send a mini split specialist out on Thursday. Thursday comes and goes and no one shows up. I called Thursday night, talked to what I think was an answering service who said they'd have someone call me Friday. No call. Today, I called again. Now it's some AI answering system answering the phone. The system said they'd have someone call back. Again...no call. I'm livid. This once great company sold out when they sold and now I can't stress enough to stay away at all costs. The original Top Gun techs were awesome and you could count on them. The ones remaining need to leave before Willard's damages their reputation like they did Top Guns. It's very sad what has happened to them. Ever since they were sold I've had nothing but trouble with them.

I have a home warranty, they refused to cover the repair since the failure was the result of his faulty work. He refused to pay for me to have my new technician fix it. (He said he honored his work and would fix it, but I refused to let him touch the unit again since he messed up two steps when he installed it). I paid him $2,029.69 in 2023 and when it broke again, another $1,085 to a different technician to fix it. In total, his bad work cost me over $3,114.69

Not only did he return my call, he did so within 25 minutes of my call, and arrived at my house 30 minutes after that. TALK ABOUT A+ AFTER-HOURS SERVICE! He was very pleasant, professional, and understanding of my plight, having kids himself, he knew that there would be no way a baby could sleep in our house that night. In ~45 minutes, he had the problem diagnosed, FIXED, and the AC blasting again. I knew that I would have to pay extra for the after-hours emergency AC house-visit, but I think it was a fair price at the end of it, and definitely worth every penny.
