A technician from Precision Aire came to look at my air conditioning. He had to make many phone calls to figure out it needs Freon. Meantime, he left the front door open a long time and he became annoyed by my security as karma he turned off completely. The screen was off. I called Precision Aire to ask the technician how did he do it so I can have my alarm restored. She started to raise her voice at me saying "we don't do this. We repair air contioning, not alarm systems. I tried to calm her down either way "dear Lady", she responded "I'm not a Lady! My name is Stacy". Ok, Stacy-not-a-Lady, it has been days and you did not call back with an answer. So now I have to pay the alarm system company to come fix the system, after I endured a week of the alarm going beserk in all kinds of ways. Stacy, obviously NOT a lady, all you wanted was to pour all your venom on someone at the end of the day and not help in the least. Your technicians should not touch anything else but the Air Con. We had our a/c replaced by our home warranty and Dan with Precision Aire did the work. Less than 5 years later, the a/c stopped working. We called a different a\c company to check it (we wasn't happy with the service originally from Precision Aire since they failed to replace the insulation in our down draft) they said the coil had a leak and we should call the company who installed the a\c and turn it in for the manufacturer warranty. So, we called Dan. After looking the a\c over he practically ran to his truck saying call someone else. No explanation, no service. I called to talk to him asking for an explanation and he hung up on me. Then sent me a text accusing me of being hostile and said he would call the authorities on me. My belief is Dan doesn't want to do warranty work where he can't mark up the products. read more

I was assigned this company by our home warranty. I had to call them to set the appointment and was told that they were dumped on with too many warranty calls. I was told that they would take my case and scheduled for the day before the 4th of July. I waited during the time period they specified and I got a no show. No call, nothing. Horrible customer service!!! I had a work order through my warranty company for 2 weeks with no call to schedule. I had to have the warranty company call to schedule because the business doesn't answer their phones or return messages. I had an appointment scheduled the following week but I received a text in the middle of the appointment window from Daniel saying he couldn't make it out that day and we could try again the next day. I text him back and called multiple times. No answer. I called the business line. No answer. read more

They put a Rheem Heater/AC on my parent's house for just under $4,000, which was the lowest quote among four contractors. Most estimators wanted to replace the duct work for $$$ extra. The Precision Air estimator said that the ducts looked well made and it would be a shame to replace them. And he was right as the final test showed that there was hardly any leakage in the duct work. So that was more $$ saved. I was on the roof watching the guys prepping the opening for the unit and they did a bit of a "Mickey Mouse" job, but I could see that it would hold. And some shingles were split. But the contractor that pitched how good things would be was a $1000 more. And the workers stayed late to finish testing the system, making it a one day project instead of spreading it to two day. read more

Whenever you contact a tradesman to do any kind of service in your home you always hope for the experience we had with Precision Aire, but you rarely get it. We moved into our new home in July 2013. Well, since the house was built in 1948, it wasn't new, just new to us. The very first day we realized there was a serious problem with the air conditioning. We had a home inspection, and the inspector gave a clean bill of health to our HVAC system, but it was clear he missed something. After a number of attempted remedies, we ultimately realized that the ducting was in very bad shape. It was clear that it all needed to be replaced. We wanted to make sure that we were well-informed, diligent consumers so in October 2013 we contacted three companies to give us quotes. Daniel, I believe the owner of Precision Aire, was one of the three people who came out to quote the work. He was very friendly without losing any sense of professionalism. He was thorough and freely shared his knowledge with us. In fact he gave us information that was helpful in normalizing the three quotes we received. I found it quite telling that Daniel never once attempted to get our work by saying anything derogatory about the other vendors we were considering. I wish I could say that was true from all of the companies who quoted our work. We decided to go with Precision Aire. Throughout the process of scheduling the work, we were in regular communication with Daniel and the office. They were very accommodating with us and were willing to work with our schedule. For some reason when the air conditioning was initially installed - who knows how many decades ago - there was no vent put in the kitchen. You can imagine how hot the kitchen would get in the summer without any air-conditioning. Daniel installed a vent in the kitchen at no additional charge. I believe that this is a perfect example of the commitment that Daniel and Precision Aire have to the quality of their work and to ensuring high customer satisfaction. As I write this review, it hasn't even been two months since we had the ductwork installed. Clearly we haven't had a chance to try it out during the hot summer months, but we were able to tell immediately that the airflow has increased easily tenfold. Just this past week we turned on the heater for the first time for a couple of hours and it warmed the house very quickly. We found that every person at Precision Aire with whom we interacted was friendly, professional, and helpful. They explained thoroughly all the materials they were planning to use and how they were going to configure the system. They kept us informed during each step of the process, and when we asked for a computer-generated, more detailed invoice when they were completed, they promised to provide it. I am so delighted that we chose Precision Aire to replace our ductwork. Given the age of our HVAC equipment, we will no doubt need to replace it within the next year or two. We will definitely be looking to Precision Aire when the time comes. read more

I bought a system in 2015 and now I'm having a number of problems. The system never worked well and was comparable to the 20 + year old previous system. Now I'm finding out the dumped an out of date model on me that uses R22 freon which can cost triple what the 410a freon costs since it's no longer considered safe and is not being produced. The salesman said all the right things but the company didn't deliver. To top it off when the condenser was installed installed they accidentally set my house on fire and I had to call them back to extinguish the embers in my 2 by 4s. Needless to see I would never recommend them to anyone. Also they charged $2300 for a two ton Goodman condenser that you can get for $1000 today. read more

Scheduled Precision Aire to come out for a service check on our AC unit. had difficulty reaching them by phone so we scheduled the appointment online. The day before the appointment we received an email from the company confirming our appointment for the next day. That was supposed to be last Tuesday. Still waiting on them to show up. My wife wasted an entire day waiting for them to arrive in their 4 hour window that they said may be as long as six. Never heard anything from them. Calls to their office have not been returned. We were hoping to set up a periodic maintenance plan with them for continuing servicing of our HVAC. We will go elsewhere. read more

Precision Aire sent a guy out to check out my ducting. Verdict: ducting is shot and needs to be replaced. My home warranty company authorized the replacement with Precision Aire and we scheduled an appointment for today, Sept 9th between 6am and 7am. Their installer, Voss showed up with another guy and crawled around in the attic for half an hour. When he told me that they weren't going to do the job, I thought he was joking until they started taking all of their equipment out of the house. His exact words were "it's too much work and not worth it" I called Daniel, the owner, right after Voss left. I got a text back 45 minutes later stating that the insulation is too tight and they don't have a solution yet. Why did you even take the job? Your guy came out and checked the situation out, you accepted the job through coordination with the home warranty company and I took time off work to be available for the work to be done. Now I'm up a creek with no paddle. Daniel is not answering my phone calls and I think it's extremely unprofessional that this complaint was responded to via text message. read more

I had just purchased my house when the AC went out (so much for the inspectors clean bill of health) so I called on my home warranty to get the issue repaired. Long story short, the assigned contractor was terrible and never contacted me. I asked for my visit to be switched to Precision Aire, and I'm so glad I did. On Friday afternoon, I scheduled through their website online for the home warranty repair appointment for Wednesday. Later on that same day, Stacy calls and she mentions that they have an appointment available on Monday with a 2 hr window starting at noon. She reassured me that if the issue was freon or motor related, it should be something that could be repaired on site. True to their word, and shortly after noon, the person for the repair was there. Unfortunately I was at work, but my father was present during the repair. The first repair man could only replace the capacitor as he did not have the motor needed to finish the repair. He then said that another repair man would stop by with the motor to finish the repair at about 3p. No later than 2:30p, the AC was up and running!!! So far, I've enjoyed one cool night after the repair. I really appreciate their constant communication and the urgency for the repair. read more

" A breath of fresh air, to deal with people who are honest and have integrity!!" I was turned on to Precision through my home warranty company, they were the third company my warranty company sent out to do work on my Force air unit! My troubles started the first summer after buying my house. My AC would dump water out of the cooling unit mounted on top of my furnace into the motor/control portion, my air intake and all over my HARD WOOD FLOORS! The first company said the condensate line was plugged and put a phish steel in an attempt to clear it and said IT'S GOOD. The rest of that summer i was not home a lot and didn't notice it continuing to leak. Winter of 2015 came and my heater worked like a champ!!! Summer of 2016 came and as usual wasn't home much. But by late July noticed water again in the mechanical closet where my AC/furnace is located in the hall of my house. I then call the warranty company and tell them the issue, but I request a different company then the first. They send out Company #2 we'll call them and if I think about them its appropriate and that an mean's TWO things, THOUGH THEY COULD BE REFERRED TO AS INCOMPETENT AT BEST SCAMMERS AT WORST! They initially did their job by figuring out the pan in the cooling coil unit was cracked and the hole upper cooling unit needed replaced. Two weeks later because off delays of parts coming in, all the while WATER IS DUMPING ON MY HARD WOOD FLOORS. Company #2 shows finally to installs my unit, before they do I ask for them to completely remove the unit so I can suck the water out of the air intake 20 gal's (no exaggeration) and clean the ducting and dry my wood floors to avert further problems with the flooring, ducting etc.. which by the way if I let them they would have slapped the cooling coils back on and said I'M DONE! When the finished they turned the AC on and said I'M DONE! DONE! I'M DONE! That was late August 2016, December roll around I go to turn my heater on once again, it tries to fire up but shuts down. After 4 or 5 tries I call my warranty company to start a work order for that. But my felling is its a warranty issue not another service call!! They try to send company #1 out, I said NO NO send #2 they worked on it last! I could not be there, and let my wife deal with THE SO CALL HEATING AND COOLING TECH that showed. I instructed her to tell the TECH this is a warranty issue IT WORK PERFECT FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS AND NOT EVEN 4 MONTHS AGO YOUR COMPANY COMPLETELY REMOVED AND REINSTALLED IT, and after I thought about it they never tested the heater only the AC and then I'M DONE! DONE I AM, I'M DONE! I Digress, the tech tells my wife the hole heating unit is out and needs to be replaced. Two weeks of phone tag the home warranty company informs me of company #2's Diagnosis. Replace all the heating components at a cost of 600$ of covered parts and labor and 1000$ in non-covered modifications! I WAS LIKE WHAT THE F@%K!! I THINK IT'S A WARRANTY ISSUE, and skeptical of the amount if parts were needed! So I made them send out a 3rd company! Turns out 3rd time is the CHARM is true in this situation! So in waked PRECISION AIR, Voss & his Brother were the techs. They showed on time and I was able to be their this time. I gave Voss a BRIEF run down of the worked preformed and in heating mode it wouldn't stay on. That's it. NOT EVEN 45 MINUTES, HE HAD IT WORKING. NO PARTS WERE EVEN NEEDED!!!!!!!! Turned out it was a polarity issue. When Company #2 re-installed the unit they reversed the HOT AND NEUTRAL! People my story is long and caused me great frustration, The silver lining is I've found an heating and cooling company that I will recommend and use from hear on out. read more

Our home warranty sent this company to fix our air and had advised that it was an attic repair, but precision said it was ok and came out. Daniel the owner came out to fix, not only did he leave a huge mess of insulation debris all over the garage, he left the old blower with its exposed wires next to the furnace (open flame) and did not bother putting the cover back on. Not only that, but the next day when the air kicked on at 4am we were scared to death by the metal to metal grinding that was coming from the attic. After calling the warranty, Daniel called back a few hours later stating that "the bracket I installed may have come loose". But because his "body was so damaged" from crawling thru the attic the day before he would not be able to come back till monday, followed by "actually I won't be coming back unless you open the access thats closer to the blower". Unfortunately, the previous owners had to add a support beam that closed off the old access and we are unable to open it. Its been three days now, and he will not return our calls or the home warranty reps calls. Since he was complaining about carrying his tools the 20ft to the blower my husband (who is 6'1" and has NO problem walking up there) even offered to carry his stuff for him! But since he is throwing a tantrum and doesn't want to fix and finish the job (that he probably shouldn't have started to begin with), we are now having to pay for someone else to clean up his mess and fix what he supposedly fixed. By what I see- if you have an easy fix they may be a good company, but if they are actually going to have to work for their money- then steer clear of this company!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

A few weeks ago my AC was not blowing cold air, so I called Precision Aire. The owner/tech guy of the company came an hour early. A family member was home so I told her to go ahead and take the appointment early. I was still running errands and couldn't be there yet. Literally, one minute after the tech arrived, the member of my family called me, stating that the tech have told her that our compressor valve is no longer working. Moreover, we'll need to have the entire AC unit replaced for about $3K. I cut my errands short and came home right away. Luckily, the guy was still outside. I talked to him and he gave me the same run down. Diagnostic fee lost, AC still not blowing cold air. Upon a friend's advice, I called a different company for a second opinion. I made sure I was home so I could follow the tech around and ask questions. The other company's tech came in and told me that there was nothing wrong with the compressor. It was working fine and that according to his gauge readings I was simply out of refrigerant. So he pumped a little in and did a leak search. He found that their was a small leak in the evaporator coils. Replace bad coil and recharge, about $1K. Money saved. Honest job. Now, our AC is running like a champ. In conclusion, I wonder if Precision Aire was taking advantage of an old women who was home and not mechanically incline. You have been warned. Thanks for reading. read more
