We had RS Heating and Cooling come out two different times over the past few years and both times have been superb! This year we were having an issue with our line freezing. Ranjeet responded quickly to our issue and let us know the date and time frame he would be able to come out. He was able to diagnose and refill our Freon in our unit within that time frame, which we immediately noticed a difference in the AC before we left. Our unit is almost 30 years old during the times Ranjeet came out, he did not try to push a new unit on us and was able to deliver great options within our budget. He also let us know what issues to look out for in the future or when it might be a good time to look into a new unit. Ranjeet came out very quickly when our heater was broken. Our HVAC is very old, and we were hoping we would not be told we had to have a new one just yet. We chose this company based on other great Yelp reviews, and also specifically because it sounded like Ranjeet often was able to repair older systems versus simply recommending an expensive replacement. After getting on the roof and diagnosing the system, Ranjeet said it needed a part (control board), and with parts and labor it would cost only a few hundred dollars. Our system is maybe 25 years old so that was good news. It would not have been a shock to learn we needed a new one. He came the next day after obtaining the right part, and our heater was soon working again, no problems. We are happy to have the heat fixed so quickly and for such a reasonable price. Ranjeet is also a very nice guy who is excellent at explaining things. When hiring contractors, I like to be able to understand the problem, and the available options, so I can make good decisions. Sometimes contractors are an expert at their profession but not always expert (or patient) at explaining issues to customers -- so I really appreciated Ranjeet's clear explanations to me as a non-expert, and his friendly demeanor. They were able to accommodate us quickly when our AC stopped working. Not only did they replace the motor, they fixed a ducting issue that PDS flat out told me would be $10k and needed to be fixed immediately for risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. They offered fair pricing. My only negative feedback is they left my floors a complete mess and there was some tar/goop with a gouge on the wall in my hallway. They should consider booties or laying paper down in the homes before a detailed repair such as this. Overall, my husband was very impressed and our AC works. read more

Ranjeet is the nicest and most honest HVAC business owner you'll find. Our AC was struggling with bringing the house temperature down on hotter days, and though it was blowing and the air was cold, the thermostat showed it just couldn't reach the temps we were setting (76, was staying between 78-80). Ranjeet found we were low on coolant so added some but said to wait and ensure that fixed the issue, as he was only going to charge us for coolant if that was the issue, as our machine is older and probably has more life in it, but might be reaching its limits. Sure enough the coolant worked, and he only charged us after I confirmed that. Very nice man, knows his stuff. Will definitely call him in the future. read more
