AVOID AT ALL COSTS (Emphasis on the costs) What a terrible experience I had with this shack like shoddy third world looking mess of an establishment. Here is the back story. I am on my way through Macon and my power steering goes out. Instead of continuing to drive the vehicle I have it towed to this alleged mechanic shop where they say "We'll treat you right." as they claim that they work on european vehicles. After hours of waiting for all of this to take place we finally get to the shop. An older white man (I think his name is Gary), balding, and rough around the edges doesn't greet me but however grunts at the fact that he was banking on me not actually showing up so he may beat his wife if he has one. Long story short, this guy plugs up my vehicle and runs the codes. He tries to force clear all of the codes. He then shows me a part that I need to get on his computer but advises me that if I am in a rush I can still drive with no power steering. I decide to muscle up and get to where I need to be and I would get the part once I am there. He does not charge me for the assessment and says that I was smart to not have driven on it and have it towed but all is good. As I enter the freeway and get up to speed, my vehicle starts violently shaking and sounds as if the axels have broke and grinding and shards etc. (It sounds expensive). I then call this alleged reputable "Precision Automotive Repair" shop back and he says to have it towed back to him and he will take a look at it again in the morning. I get a hotel and call him the next morning. I ask him how everything is going with the car and he responds that it is still sitting in the parking lot. He says he has no time frame of when he will have the car looked at and that he will call me at his convenience whenever he has "time" to check it out. At this point I rent a U Hual and an auto trailer and ride over to "Precision Automotive Repair." I ask him if I can leave the auto trailer in the lot while I go finish what I need to do in ATL and come back and pickup the car. He says he has no room as I look in an empty parking lot. He then starts CUSSING me out saying the I have exceeded his level of BS. Starts screaming that I owe him $110USD and I ask for what. He yells nothing other than your BS, no labor or assessment. I elaborate to him that he advised me to drive on my vehicle that now has way more damage than when I brought it to him. He then says "DO YOU THINK I HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL AND CAN TELL THAT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR VEHICLE WILL FALL OUT ON THE HIGHWAY? DID YOU SEE ME PUT IT ON THE LIFT AND CHECK UNDER THE VEHICLE? DO YOU HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE?" He says all this as if he is about to try and fight me... (for what). I reply that I am not a mechanic and that this is his alleged profession. If he decided not to put it on the lift the day before and advise me that I can drive NO PROBLEM. With the profanity, rudeness, and unprofessionalism I just asked for the damn key and loaded on the trailer which I had never done before as they watch me try and figure it out. What a bunch of ***holes. Later I find out my insurance company has determined my vehicle totaled. Good job guys you really did a great job. If for some unforsaken reason you decided to goto this establishment I hope that you don't get shafted as hard as I did. I wish I could give negative stars as a review but I guess Yelp has more professionalism than this POS mechanic. read more

I brought a vehicle one time and the gentleman was professional and courteous and fixed my issue. I brought back another vehicle to be work done and dropped it off in the morning. The guy said he will give me a call that afternoon. I did not hear back from him So I called and no answer. Worried, being my mothers only vehicle, I stop by and asked him what was going on. He was in a bad and nasty mood and asked me if I realized he was closed. I told him he did not give me a call back so how was I supposed to know if he was closed. Also, he said he did not reach out to me because he had not fixed my mothers vehicle so he did not know what to tell me. So, he rather just keep his customers vehicles overnight instead of being professional and courteous and letting his customer know what is going on because he is in a grumpy mood. He asked me if I rather take the car home and I said yes. He still charged me for the diagnostic which is fair, and charge me an extra 60 for absolutely nothing. The car was not fixed, the car wasn't no better condition than when I left it in the morning. He obviously has anger issues and does not know how to be courteous or respectful to customers that keep his business open. Crappy customer service. read more

Gary worked on my car 2 years ago and replaced my throttle position sensor and did a fantastic job

I took my VW to the dealer three times for a problem they were unable to correctly fix (obviously... or I wouldn't have gone three times). I had become very frustrated with both the dealer and my car and had begun second guessing my decision to buy a German vehicle. Little did I know, they are such a specialty when it comes to having work done. Out of frustration and the recommendation of a friend, I took my car to Precision Import and all I can say is; it was one of the best decisions I've made. My only regret is that I didn't go there first. They were able to (correctly) fix my car the first visit and unlike with the dealer, the issue didn't resurface a week later. I dealt with Gary (who I think is the owner) and the experience was great. He took the time to explain everything to me, both before and after the work was done, and he even saved the defective parts for my inspection. While I was very happy with the experience and service, the most important factor for me was whether my car was finally fixed and I am happy to report that it was. I haven't had one bit of trouble from it since they worked on it and I will definitely use Precision Import for all my mechanic needs from now on. read more
