Needed 4 tires and an alignment on a Saturday morning. Good news is I was in by 915 and out by 1015am. However....I was quoted "out the door" pricing of $576 but the final bill ended up $634.22. I visited the Hartley Bridge Road location in Macon, GA due to low tire pressure alert on my vehicle. Brett, the manager, came out to fill my tire with air and saw a nail sticking out. He filled the tire up, and took it back to his employees, who plugged the hole for me and made sure I was safe and on my way. Very pleasant experience! Would highly recommend them!! read more

Went in for a slow leak in one of my tires. I of course ended up getting up sold to purchase two new tires because i was told my tread so low it was ticketable, but the man who helped me-James- was very honest and kind. He even showed me his screen to show the price i was being charged was the best, and offered me a $40 off coupon. He wasn't upset when i denied any extra such as warranty and other things. I would never return to this store again. The manager tried to rip me off. After I returned brand new tires that did not fit my rims within 4 days (policy says within 30 days). The manager advised me that I am only going to get back $726.51 out of $911.56 or nothing at all. I had to call corporate to get this straightened out after he suggested for me to call bc that is what he was told. After speaking to corporate I was refunded $856.25 and some change. Minus the wipers. This took up my entire day getting resolved that should not have happened in this manner. Mavis return policy's are online. I went online to schedule a tire change the night before I went and first thing the next morning I got a call to follow-up on my appointment. I went to the store at my appointed time and was taken care of faster than I expected because the lobby was full. The waiting area is comfortable and there is even a child play area. there were no toys but I like the concept. One of my tires had a flat so I had the spare on and they put it back in place just as it came from the factory. I got 4 tires and put the warranty on them and still got a great price. I went in to have my tire sensor replaced. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30PM. I was advised it's a fairly quick process to replace the sensor so I chose to wait with my vehicle. However at 3:15PM my car was still sitting outside in the parking lot. I inquired about the purpose of making an appointment and the rep apologized for the delay. After a few minutes they finally took my car back , and there was some confusion in regards to the service I needed as it appears my ticket was written up incorrectly. We were on a road trip traveling home to Florida when our tire sensors went off. We had a screw in one of our tires and it was leaking air! We were many hours from home and it was nearing dark. Luckily, I saw there was a tire place still open and we called them and explained the situation. We pulled in barely before they closed, unloaded our 3 year old and 3 dogs, and they repaired our tire. They were professional, friendly, and did a wonderful job! The fact that they stayed after their closing time to help us speaks volumes to me about thier customer service. On Nov 3,2023 9am for alignment. Checked in with the poor excuse of a manager. If you know that your manpower is down and that you only have one person that does alignments why don't you just tell your customer as they walk in the door. instead leaving them hanging in the lobby. Not even to say we're going to get to you next, said nothing. You got two mechanics and one alignment lube man that Caucasian were taking a lot of breaks instead of moving on to the next vehicle I got that nine people that got that 11:00 were going home with their cars. I understand why people come there for minor things maybe this is a bad place just the second one. When I started complaining about 10:54 the Caucasian guy got my car and something strange about it I saw him run over a big old hump in the shopping parking lot. didn't put on brakes to ease over the hump intentionally try to injure my car. Yes he did when he finished doing that he took my car on the side of the building which is the solid building and the alley way part my car around and got out of winning the inside somewhere to do something. I knew what they were doing. To my old 2005 Nissan Altima it was a neat looking car. they were looking for things to steal the two black guys & white boys that worked for Mavis Presidential Pkwy store. Pulled the car around to the side of the building of the alley way. As I looked for my car The white boy pulled my car into the bay. I made an appointment a day and a half with these people to change my brake pads for 9am. When I got there at 845 they informed me, "their brake guy doesn't get here until 10 am". They really should have told me that when I made the appointment. By the time I finally got out of their shop it was 1:30 pm and everyone else had brought their car in and had it worked on and left by the time they were done with my car. They also did not know which pads went on my vehicle ( it's one of the most common vehicles on the road). They also made no attempt to apologize or even acknowledge they made me wait a disproportionate amount of time compared with other customers who did not make an appointment. They are not good mechanics, they do not have good customer service and they are not cheap. There is no reason to go to these people when there are any other choices out there. read more

The staff were very friendly, and the lobby has a comfortable waiting area with tv, coffee and kids play room,BUT the one hour estimated time turned into 3 hours!!! I got 4 new tires for my newly purchase used Honda Civic and drove off not doing an inspection of the job. A week later I got my new rotors, drums and brakes, to install on the car myself. I never moved it from its spot after I bought the tires. I had to use a 4 foot cheater pipe on my lug wrench to get enough leverage to remove the lug nuts. I was praying it wouldn't shear the bolts, it didn't, luckily. After changing 3 brakes I went to the forward passenger wheel to notice that one of my lugs was missing, sheared off. I had to buy a new lug bolt and lug nut to replaced the missing one. After I removed the lug nuts using my 4 foot cheater pipe, I noticed that 2 other lug screws was crossed threaded so I had to replaced 2 more. Guess the same person decided to not hand threaded it first before they used the impact gun. I can't believe that they wouldn't tell me that they broke a lug bolt and they would just use their most powerful impact gun on my lug nuts. One one should ever need to use a 4 foot cheater pipe and all the muscle they had to remove a tire lug nuts. I will never, never waste my time or money here. Go anywhere else but here. After attempting to make an appointment online to purchase new tires and seeing they didn't have any availability until the following day, I called up there just to be sure they couldn't get me in any sooner. The man I spoke to on the phone asked me the make/model of my vehicle and discussed tires with me. He said he would have the tires ordered and they would be at the store for my appointment. He also quoted me a price and detailed what all would be included. Once arriving at the location for our appointment, we were immediately told it would be a different price, (more than we were told on the phone) and it wouldn't include what the man on the phone said it would include. The man working the counter, Sean (Shawn) had an attitude the entire time and just shrugged anytime we asked about the inconsistencies with what we were told on the phone vs at the desk. He kept saying "I'm not the one you talked to, this is my first time even dealing with you people". While I understand that, they really should get it together when quoting prices. We decided to proceed and after they got my vehicle up in the air and removed all of the tires, he comes to us to tell us they didn't have the right tire size. He kept saying "you ordered the wrong ones". no, "we" didn't order the wrong ones. The man on the phone said he had the right ones and ordered them for us. Not wanting to argue, we asked him what we needed to do from here to get some tires on the vehicle. Another shrug and more blame placed either at the man on the phone or our way, "you ordered the wrong tires. this is my first time dealing with you people". So we told them to just put all of our tires back on and put our spare tire on in place of the worst tire so we could drive it elsewhere and get tires. Which we did. We went to Raffield where they took care of us, we happily spent more money with them and they have excellent customer service compared to the finger pointing, blaming and shrugs we received at Mavis from Sean (Shawn). We spent two hours there and the only thing we received was a spare tire change. We could have done that ourselves at home in ten minutes. Despite all of the nonsense that went on, the man who actually worked on our truck was very respectful and professional. We had been there before when this was Kauffman Tire and the staff there was always friendly, the level of service was above and beyond what you would normally expect, but it seems as when the location changed to a different company, the atmosphere and attitude there had completely shifted to a negative one. Had the WORSE service possible at Marvis Tire in Macon, GA!! Called Saturday, 7/18/2020, and was told they had the camper tires we wanted was given a price and emailed a confirmation for a Sunday 10 a.m. appointment to purchase/mount/balance 4 camper tires. Dropped off tires before 10 and was told would be ready before 1 p.m. Returned by 1 and was told had been unable to get to tires but if given another hour would have ready. Manger was told we would only wait 1 more hour and then we would be taking our tires back. When we returned this time after 2, and ask if tires we're ready, was then told by Mavis manger, NEVER HAD THE TIRES IN STOCK! All manager would say was sorry the inventory was off. 4 1/2 hours later, 2 chances to tell us they didn't have them, and 2 phone numbers they never bothered to call, and all he said was inventory was wrong. We both were beyond livid by this time, let him know how we felt how business was conducted while loading our tires back up. Would NEVER RECOMMEND this MACON, GA BUSINESS. Terrible customer service! This is the worst experience I have ever had buying tires. Our car sat outside for over an hour before one of the employees moved it into the work area. Another hour later, three tires were on the car, and then after another while, we were informed that they didn't even have four of that kind of tire. Sooooo, we had to wait while they took those three tires off, found four that they did have in stock, and put those on. This store is terrible. The employees are slow to sign people in, the employees working on the cars are often just dancing around and talking or doing nothing (we watched through the windows that look into the work area), and they are poor in communicating how long the wait time should be and what is to be expected. We sat there and endured the experience but only because we needed tires that badly. Other people got their keys back and left. Wish we had done the same. This place is awful. read more

I needed to get a nail removed from my mom's car tire and I needed it done while I was there in town. I had already been refused service from another tire service company, but when I pulled into Kauffman Tire they were quick to respond to the request and said I'd be in and out in 30 minutes and that's exactly how things went. My mom had not bought the tires there, but they never hesitated to provide the service. They were kind and thorough; they actually found 2 issues on the 1 tire and fixed them both. I was happy and my mom didn't have to stress about the safety of the tire. I would definitely use them again. I even recommended to my mom that when the time came to purchase new tires to consider using Kauffman. read more
