I just placed an order with them yesterday, and late in the day, I realized that I did not remove the layout template layer from the file I submitted. I know that they have a very efficient automated system, so I was afraid that they would print the file as it was. I realized the problem after hours, so I had to wait until the next morning to contact them. I spoke with Jeremy Burrell, and he assured me that they could substitute my bad file with the correct one. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. They were printing a catalog for me. Their color was way off. In fact the product was not sellable. When I contacted them, they asked to have the job returned and I did so. Upon inspection, they agreed that the color was off. The rep said that they were a gang run house and they could not be expected to have good color. WHAT? Are you kidding me. My job was not a gang. It was run by itself. After some back and forth, they decided that they would take another shot at it. I went to a press check and the colors were still awful. This catalog was pictures of products. The customer went with me to the press check and they just couldn't get close. The customer went a little ballistic and I can't blame her. Elite 4 Print kept blaming the customer artwork even though we had a printed proof that looked fine and showed the production manager good prints from the same pictures from the previous printer. We couldn't get anywhere on the job. Before I left, I talked to the production manager and he admitted that he had made a mistake in printing a job he knew wasn't right. He said to me, "This is going to cost me a lot of money, isn't it?" I replied yes. I expected that he would return the money I prepaid quickly. Not the case. In fact the best offer I received was to get half of my money back. I declined this offer and took action through my credit. I supplied two expert's letters that the color at Elite 4 Print was just off. Elite 4 Print continued to insist that they did a good job. Fortunately they were the only ones that believed that and eventually I got all of my money back. The did a bad job. They lied to try and keep my money. They refused my offers to let them keep of my money for future jobs. BAD BAD NEWS.

He was given 710 masks to print and he gave me a price for everything. At first, he seemed very willing and will seem to go out of his way to make it work. This is only until he gets the job! I came to him because I needed several jobs done very fast. That was my requirement: SPEED. He told me he could get 710 masks printed fast (1-2 days). I emailed him several logo files and gave him the masks on a Saturday morning. I drove to Marina Del Ray to meet with him & he assured me he could get the job done my Monday-Tuesday. I even provided him with the films for 4 logos to expedite things. Come Monday, he says Wednesday. Come Wednesday, he only completed 2 of the 8 logos I had for him to do. At this point, he also had some questions regarding logos, etc. This is 4 days after he received all logo files and keep in mind the first thing I asked him for was SPEED. When he sends me pics of samples for me to approve, I wasn't pleased and asked him why were some parts lighter than others. He would respond "its the lighting". He completed 2 jobs and once I picked them from his house in Carson, I realized the quality was very poor. The lines were faded and uneven. It was sloppy and the lines were bleeding. He tells me they can only run the ink once. Please view attached photos. Basically, he kept doing a bad printing job and asking me to send new files which was annoying because I sent him all files a week prior! Once I told him I wish he told me what he needed earlier, he got annoyed and threatened to return everything to me and claimed it is not worth his time. Amidst arguing via text message, WE both agreed to cancel the rest. Instead of being apologetic and sorry for not completing the job, he then proceeded to increase his prices and sends me a request for $93.75 via Venmo. I've ALREADY paid for the jobs he's done via venmo. Actually I had paid more because I paid for deposit of jobs he did not do. At this point, he refused to give me back my 650 remaining masks unless I paid him an extra $93.75. Please note this person has yet to give me ANY invoice until today. He said the special price was only for the volume yet the reason we cancelled because HE could not perform a good job and because HE suggested he wanted to return everything. Once we agreed to cancel, he had me pick up my masks in the evening that he left in the back of his Jeep in front of his house in Carson. (professional right?) During that time, he also sends me a message asking me to allow him to complete the job. I did not respond. Once my associate arrived to his house, he refused to return my masks unless I paid him $93.75. My masks alone are worth over $1200, an amount far exceeding the $93.75 he is requesting. It is clear that Keith Simpson is far more concerned about collecting $93 than having a happy and satisfied client with his work and having repeat business. He is also rude, extremely unprofessional and threatens me via text message. In the end, I HAD to pay the extra $93.75 because he would not give me back my 650 masks. I was EXTORTED. It was pure EXTORTION. Unprofessional, unqualified. I paid more for a bad printing job which did not meet deadline.This was the worst business transaction I've ever had in my life.
