Terrible experience with Venice blue. Called the number on yelp and ordered 200 brochures and was told to pick them up at 1pm. Went to the location listed on yelp only to find out the location had been closed. Call the number and the guy gave me a new location. Went there and it was closed. Called the company again who then said they had used a partner company in Buena Park! 1.5 hours away! Don't use this company!!! read more

I am an interior designer and have wanted to find and support a local print shop for all of my printing business. I was thrilled to find Venice Blue - it is 5 minutes away with rave reviews. Pro's: very fast service, highly competitive pricing Con's: poor quality prints My first experience with Venice Blue was ~2 weeks ago. I printed (qty 3) 24x36 presentation plots. Each page had black and white plans/elevations along with photographs on 25% of the page. I also printed a small 11x17 set. The 11x17 set turned out just fine on the laser printer. The 24x36 did not. There were toner marks all over the sheets - it almost appeared as though the floor plans hadn't dried properly and were stamped all over. When I asked Bert about the toner marks he replied that he thought it was part of the document. Additionally, the photographs were not printed at high-quality and were de-saturated and full of linear striations. It was unacceptable for my client presentation. I had to send the plots to FedEx to rush for my meeting. It cost me 5x as much with the rush fee (over $100 for 3 sheets), in addition to paying for the Venice Blue prints. I wanted Venice Blue to work out so I tried again. My boyfriend needed 24x36 color plots for a project this morning. The order was sent in with the request to print at high-quality. Upon picking them up, not only are the prints full of linear striations, but there are physical punctures throughout the set. Almost like braille. I reviewed in shop and asked how this happened. I was given a shrug along with the first set of prints that had come out of the printer (that had the same issue). Summary: Venice Blue is a great print shop if quality does not matter. I can see it being helpful for a general contractor who need an inexpensive drawing set printed for a construction site. I would not recommend for any Arch C or D presentation-level plots under any circumstance. Unfortunately the quality is not there. read more

So glad I found this place instead of printing elsewhere. I came in to print two 16x20 photographs. I walked in during lunch and the owner was there to help me immediately. He said best to come back tomorrow to allow them to dry. He let me know super early the next day they were ready and they came out beautiful and each less than $4. Other print shops and Fedex were quoting me unreasonable prices. Owner is very nice and responsive - highly recommend if youre looking to print large size photographs! read more

I am writing this 5-star review solely based off the experience I had with Yelp!'s "Request a Quote" features and Bert's fast responsiveness to the needs of my project. It was a last minute project that I needed to get expedited and I had intended to make this pick up after I arrived at LAX from a flight. I let him know that my flight would be arriving pretty close to their closing time and was willing to wait for me to make the pick up. I unfortunately could not follow through with the project but felt compelled to give this company a high-rating as the nature of my project demanded prompt responses and I found their pricing to be quite reasonable! I've gone to Venice Blue many times to print 24x36 building plans. Bert has always done a great job getting everything printed quickly and correctly. One time there was an issue with the fonts in one of my PDFs and Bert worked with me to keep trying until we got everything printed correctly. They have the best prices around, and their free pickup and delivery service has been amazingly helpful! Forcefully I need to put a star but this place doesn't even deserve that. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I was speechless at how rude they were. We went in to get some prints because according to their hours on Yelp they were open; which they weren't they were closed. So I called in and there was so much noise in the background I couldn't hear what the guy on the phone was saying, finally he said he would be there in 20 minutes. I called back an hour after asking if the prints where ready and that I would be there in 25 min he said "I'm not there I'm no more then 5 minutes away at the very maximum but your prints should be ready." I showed up to the place closed again, I called again just to ask if they were even open today and just to get the worst costumer service I have never been talked to by a "business" before, I was told that they weren't there only when I needed them (mind you this is the first time I have come here) that they were out doing deliveries (then don't have open hours on Yelp) and that I couldn't tel them HOW TO DO THEIR JOB. DO NOT COME HERE the business is a nasty hole in the wall they don't even clean the windows it looks abandoned, I came here as a reference and I will never come back. Just horrible. read more

This is a business to avoid at all costs, unless you like being threatened and harassed. I emailed and phoned in an order for photocopies and was told it would be ready in half an hour. I showed up an hour later. After waiting 5 minutes to be served, and there was only one other customer, they decided to begin my job. Then I went to pay and they said they took cash or check only, despite my bill being around $14. I happened to have very little cash nor any checks on me and asked why they didn't display this on their website and/or tell me over the phone. The guy went on to threaten me to a fight and refused to sell me the copies I did have cash for (I only had $5 in my wallet). This is really, seriously, not a safe or pleasant place to do business. read more

Horribly enraging !!! I'm writing this review while sitting outside Venice Blueprint and Copy. Why am I sitting outside your ask because it's 3:15pm in the afternoon in the front doors locked. Why is it locked because they are the most you're irresponsible printing company I've ever used. When I called them they picked up the phone after three tries. Some guy who sounded drunk said that they were on their lunch break. I then told him I just drove 45 minutes to get you to print an important architectural plan drawing . He then told me will be done in 30-35 minutes. I explained that it was urgent I have this file printed today and then he just hung up. For print company company you think that at least have the decency to post their hours and "lunch break" on the front window. If You don't believe my review step inside the store and see how much of a disaster this print shop is. I'm astonished that even stay in business let alone produce any income. I do you have to admit I did have something printed your PC two weeks ago and the quality was so bad that my teacher a UCLA drafting professor rejected it. Don't waste your time and have anything done here take it to ARC . I sincerely hope this review makes you guys clean up your act . If you can't , don't advertise your business to working professionals who depend on quality and fast printing . read more
