Home owners beware! We ordered 4 ¼ yards of concrete for a patio pour at our house. The patio…read moresize was 17'x13'x5 1/2". Two separate people calculated the volume required and both told us we needed approximately 4 yards. We ordered 4 ¼ because we also had a small triangular spot we wanted to fill and wanted to ensure that we would not run short. We paid extra for the Saturday morning delivery and were all ready for the truck on 8/27. Driver came first thing in the morning and even helped with spreading the concrete. Great driver and great delivery. Now comes the bad part. The truck didn't have enough concrete to finish our patio, let alone start on the small triangle.... It was short. 4 1/4 yards should have been more than enough for the patio. Driver saw that we didn't have enough concrete. He was scraping out his chute but there was nothing left. Told us that's what they gave him and there's nothing else he could do. We had to quick run to HomeDepot to get some Quikrete to get the patio straightened out before it set up. We needed 9 bags of Quikrete to finish the job that we started. Concrete looks a little mismatched but at least we got it done. I called Monday morning, 8/29, and spoke to someone about the truck being short and he told me he was going to pull the weigh ticket and get back to me. Since I didn't hear back I called again on Thursday, 9/1, to follow up. He did tell me that we should have definitely had enough to fill the patio and that he was going to look in to it and get back to me. Today is 9/7 and I still haven't heard back. I really was hoping that 4 Winds would have cared enough to make it right but it seems they don't care about the small jobs from home owners.
