Later I went out and wanted to close the door behind me using the control pad and it didn't work. I messaged him about it and apparently he forgot and said you didn't even think to look if we had a keypad. Instead of offering to come back out and put it in which would have been about a 15 minute job, he just sent me a link to amazon. So it's easy enough to do it. I'll end up doing that but because I don't live there full time, it end up being a giant pain in the neck for me.

He was friendly and professional the entire time. I got several quotes to replace my openers, did my comparisons for price and products, and Access Garage Doors was willing to work with me to match another national chains price but provide a longer warranty for the work done. I got a confirmation text for my appointment. I got a call/text notifying me of who would be coming, WITH a picture of my technician, when he was on his way. I am so glad I chose these guys. Seth has been my go-to technician from the beginning--no dispatch calls and misunderstandings between the tech and dispatch. He is the one I got on the phone, and he was the one who did the work. He was very thorough in showing me what I needed to know with the new system. And the price was right on! Furthermore, since installing the new openers, Seth is the one I have been able to call when my camera wasn't responding and the doors were making extra loud noises when being opened the first time. Called the first company and the voicemail was short and unprofessional. Called advantage and Michael picked up and very courteously took my info. To my surprise, he said he could be out in a couple of hours. Despite massive rain and atl traffic, showed up on time. Very courteous, obviously knew what he was doing. Replaced both springs and tuned up the chain for me. Ended up paying a little less than the last spring replacement, and that was 9 years ago. Great company, really impressed.

Other than the spring repair, they discussed other "wear 'n tear" hardware that should be replaced, and also gave estimates on full door replacements (wasn't interested at this time). No high pressure sales pitch, just options to consider. They also fixed the sensors that weren't working on the other door, and installed a wireless keypad for convenience's sake. After years…read moreof spotty performance of the Hub, the unit decided to start opening & closing the garage door on its own. The most recent incident caused the door to close on our SUV rooftop (CRUNCH/SCRATCH!!). One call to Mike at Platinum we got an onsite visit and clear reasonable quote for a new opener. Mike was able to start the work that same day. He installed a new LiftMaster head unit, performed tune-ups on both garage doors, repaired the damaged garage door section, and replaced the keypads and reconnected the MyQ setup. Mike was extremely professional, and diligent. He worked thru the stifling heat and was able to wrap things up within one visit. Awesome job!!
