I made an appointment with Precision Door Service of Pensacola and the technician came out and gave me an estimate of over $5,700 to replace a lot of things on my garage door. I called another Co. the technician charged me $234.00 for a loose chain & loose wiring to my sensor. Later on the Manager called me and apologized for the high quote and explained that this quote was for things foreseen that could break down in the future and that the technician should have just provided a quote for what the immediate problem was and fix it. First the service technician, Alex was awesome. He was well trained, knowledgeable and efficient. He installed the new motor, and all associated hardware in about an hour and did a great job. Highly recommend giving them a shot. Now, if you have to call and speak to a customer service rep thats another story. They're not organized, they won't call you back and when you do talk to them they don't know if you're getting a quote or getting service a done. Courteous, knowledgeable, professional service that got the job done! I had an older garage door opener that I wanted replaced. After calling around and talking to a buddy that used them previously, I decided to go with Precision Door. From the start to the finish, communication was superd. Their service tech arrived on time as scheduled. He was knowledgeable in explaining the products he was about to install and additional products for me to consider to get the full garage door update. In the end I went with just the opener replacement. This included a new track, belt driven motor, safety sensors, surge protector, and remotes to opening the garage. The motor and belt come with a lifetime warranty and the remotes come with a one year warranty. Total time for the replacement took about two hours to remove the old opener and install the new one. Then the service tech went through the operation of the garage, explaining what to do if I have an issues. Total cost was approximately $500 for everything. At first, I thought that was a bit much but after taking to a few people about how much a pain it is and the dangers it is to replace and set up a new opener, I knew I got my money worth. A new opener can run from $200 on up but may not come with the reassurance of the warranty that you get from Precision Door provides. On April 15th, 2025 I ordered a garage door from this company. They told me that it might take 2 weeks for the door to arrive. Ok, so that meant that the door would arrive by the 1st of may. It arrived early and they called me to set up an installation date . We did that. They did not show. I called them again and they gave me another date for installation a week away. They did not show. When I called them again, I was given another date. They did I not show. They called last week and said that they would be there today 5/16/2025 at 1:30pm. I received a call at 12:20 and I was told that they could be here on Thursday. This is unacceptable. I re-arrange my time for them and they don't even consider this at all. I called and said I want my money back and I will go to a more reliable company. They have not called me back. Do not use this company unless you want to wait for 6 months to get it. I'm not sure how much of it was him, or the company, or pure luck, but we called 1st thing this morning for a garage door repair (it was BADLY broken) and originally told "between 2-5". Cool. If I could give more than five stars I would! I have seen these trucks a couple of times while driving and took a picture. I called today thinking I would hear an overpriced quote, and that I would have to wait days before someone could come out to look at my project. Not only did the Customer Service rep give me an idea of my price range with the issues I stated (garage door opener was installed by my builder but never wired or hooked up), she said someone could come out today between 4-6pm. That was at 1337. About 45 minutes later I received a call from my Technician, Chris Taylor. He said he was ahead of schedule and could come within the hour; he did exactly that! I also received and automatic text with his name, what he looked like, a little bio, I mean who does that? I felt it was really nice so you know who is coming to your home. I gave him the details and he went over several options for me. He not only fixed it, he rewired and installed the safety sensors, the opener itself, my switch on the wall, and even helped me program my fobs that I didn't even know worked. He even asked my if I had actual lightbulbs, installed them in the opener and made my garage 5x brighter! Just wow! Thomas and his assistant did a great job. I mistakenly thought I could make the repair on my own since I do a lot of contract work and flip homes. Thomas made some recommendations for work. After he did, I asked him to just be honest and let me know what was needed. The minimum fix would have no warranty and would likely run into a spring failure in near future. My springs were old and likely caused the failure to begin with. Garage door springs are dangerous. Just hire Precision. I think price was fair for the work done and it was fast. Don't take the risk on garage doors. Provided a 10 year warranty on the work as well. read more

Set an appointment after lightning storm damaged the board and failed to provide power to the wall switch in the garage. Austin came out while I was at work and called me after my 19 year old son let him in the inspect. I received a phone call soon after telling e what I already knew to be true, bad circuit board in the head unit. Told me he could repair for $200 but couldn't guarantee it would fix the issue, or #2 he could replace the whole head unit and guarantee it would be fixed for $888, or #3, told me my garage door framing wasn't installed correctly and ready to fall at any moment, but he would save the day for $2200! I paid the service fee and sent him on his way without a repair. The following Saturday, I climbed up into the attic space and double checked his assessment that the frame was not connected to trusses and ready to come crashing down... not true! Absolutely secured to the trusses. This company is not trustworthy. Find another. read more

Called 7 times left messages, spoke with receptionist or homeless person but never a call back. Was told Jason would call me personally to provide quote but never a return call. James came out the same day I called. My garage door would not close properly. Only a $50 service charge. James, the technician, quickly found my problem to be a bad connection of wiring for the beam that detects any object that is in the path of the descending garage door. James connected the wire, installed an electrical locknut, and the job was complete. This was elementary for James and he charged me nothing, only the very reasonable service charge. Billy came by to give a quote. I wanted some metal shutters that fit the concrete screws that are already installed around my home's windows. He stated that the metal ones wouldn't work due to the spacing of the screws but then went to his truck to grab a sample of the fabric coverings they offer. As soon as he brought it out I realized I'm an idiot and already have those coverings in large cardboard tubes in my basement. (I recently purchased this house and am from California so all this hurricane stuff is foreign to me!)
