Instead, he recommended a cream that clearly states it should not be used on the face. After two months of using it with no improvement, I called back, only to be told I would need to come in again -- possibly for an injection -- instead of simply being prescribed a more appropriate treatment. To make matters worse, his medical assistant admitted the cream I had been using should never have been applied to my face.. she also told me my chart did not show I came in for a facial issue. I was then prescribed a new cream that cost $300 and had to be picked up at a specific pharmacy in Delray Beach and shipped there first adding even more delay and frustration. This wasn't just my experience -- he treated my daughter the same way. I honestly don't understand how this doctor has such high reviews. If you're looking for help with skin issues, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. DO NOT GO HERE!

However, when I arrived, the practitioner performing the injections seemed very unprofessional. First, despite being a new client, I had clearly stated my treatment history; yet, when discussing the plan, she recommended Dysport instead of the Botox I had originally booked. She asked if I was comfortable with a total cost exceeding $700--which was fine by me. I also wanted a touch-up on my cheeks (where I had received Juvéderm injections a year prior). After treating my forehead, she declared the session over. When I asked about my cheeks, she asked in surprise, "You want to do your cheeks too?" I was shocked, as I had mentioned needing treatment for both my forehead and cheeks from the start. I kept asking for her recommendations, expecting a professional to proactively suggest a plan and advise me on what was needed. Instead, she claimed I had only booked a 15-minute session for forehead wrinkles and suggested I come back the next day. When I said I couldn't return the following day, she reluctantly agreed to inject Restylane into my cheeks. Throughout the process, she repeatedly questioned my ability to pay--asking things like "Is this price okay?" and "Do you know how much this costs?"--rather than offering professional advice on the areas of my face that needed attention. This made me feel very uncomfortable. She rushed through the procedure, and after I paid over $1,300 and left, no follow-up appointment was scheduled. I suspect this happened because my attire made me look "low-class," leading her to worry that I couldn't afford the treatment. She offered no advice or assessment based on my face's actual needs; she simply performed my requests mechanically without ever mentioning follow-up care. There was absolutely no effect after getting the treatment on my forehead. In the past, when I got Botox, the forehead lines would disappear the very same day.

Dr. Hunter gets 5 stars for her expertise, standard of care, and attention to detail...front office…read morestaff, not so much...I had what was close to an argument with a staff person who insisted that I owed a deductible...I contacted my secondary and it turns out I was correct...still waiting to see if I get an unwarranted bill that I have to correct...more important...my phone call from staff reporting biopsy reports did not advise me that my results were "in situ" squamous growths...without this critical information that the cancers were not invasive...I scheduled Mohs surgery sooner, which was very intrusive and inconvenient...another example of the tribulations of being a patient making decisions without being given all the relevant information...I'll continue to be a patient because of Dr. Hunter's expertise and "bedside manner," but I wish the practice in general would up their game.
