My 25 horse mercury 4 stroke started arcing and burning on a trip around my lake. With the help of friends we were able to disconnect the battery, stop the arcing and flames and ascertain that the regulator had burned up.Reading the good reviews about Precision Marine, I decided to give them a try. I called, got Dean, and was told to bring the toon over and they would see what was wrong and what could be done. I left the toon and and got a call from Dean within an hour telling me that the regulator was fried, that Mercury had a replacement kit, that they would also check the water pump, that it would be ready the following Tuesday, and run about 600 bucks. On Friday am I got a call from Dean telling me the toon was ready and would run about 400 bucks. I went over and was told about the Mercury kit, that my water pump was perfect and that they also fixed a problem with the toon trailer which i had borrowed from a friend on the lake and would take no money for fixing the trailer. This whole outfit is terrific and I would recommend them to any one who has trouble with a boat, jet ski, or snow mobile. Dean is outa sight. p.s. Don't drive on old 27 north of Frederic, take the worst road you have ever seen and multiply it by 10. Shoot over to 75 go north to Waters and come back south on old 27 about 3 miles to Precision. read more
