Coming from a UB student from the NY metropolitan area and is very particular & meticulous about the person that touches their eyebrows, I trust this woman with my entire life when it comes to her threading my eyebrows. SERVICES: Went for EYEBROW THREADING several times now. Preeti is a great threading artist! With 25 years experience, she knows what she is doing. In addition to eyebrows I've also done some threading/waxing in the face/neck area and I've been happy with the results every time. Mind you, Preeti is not aggressive with her work, and she won't work to get every single hair off your face (if that's what you envision). The upside is that you are less likely to break out (get pimples/cuts/irritation) afterwards. The downside is that you don't get that "baby butt" smooth feeling all over like you can at more aggressive spots that have so much demand for threading, from Indian women like me, that they run like machines (think Queens, NY or Hicksville, Long Island salons). I recommend getting the ASTRINGENT applied at the end to help close up pores. I also did a BACK FACIAL with her once (first time I've ever had that in my life) and it did a SPECTACULAR job of cleaning up my upperback in the midst of a sweaty summer. LOCATION/SALON: The salon has a big sign toward the road (also notes a law firm) but other than that it's pretty simple. Inside is neat, clean, efficient. It's a one woman show but Preeti does a great job managing it. OVERALL: Reasonable prices and good service, definitely recommended for that! Best for people who can make an appointment and stick to it as she is by appointment only. After a friend described a wonderful experience at Preeti's Organic Spa, I knew I had to check it out. Luckily for me, Groupon was featuring a deal for either eyebrow threading or facials. I decided to purchase the $39 deal for one 60-minute anti-aging, gold, or chocolate facial. After I bought the Groupon, I had a little bit of difficulty scheduling an appointment. Preeti's is unique because the spa is a one woman show. Preeti is the owner, the receptionist, the facialist, the threader, and so-on. It is just her. So, as you can imagine, she books up fast! In order to accommodate my schedule, I had to book my appointment a few weeks in advance. This was not a problem for me-- something to look forward to! However, if there's an event that you want to have a service done for, I'd recommend calling as early on as possible. The spa itself is tucked into the same building as Studio M hair salon. I don't recall there being a large sign outside, so it can be a little tricky to find. On the plus side, there's parking right out front and I had no problem finding a spot. Typically, I am used to being greeted by someone at a front desk when arriving at a spa or salon. Preeti's set up is a bit different. There is no front desk. However, there is a pretty, clean waiting area with magazines and bottled water upon entering. When I arrived, Preeti was with another client so it took a few minutes before she came out to greet me. No big deal. Once she finished with her other appointment, she came out and asked me to fill out a new client questionnaire. She also sat with me to discuss my skin goals. I really appreciated this because it felt like she was genuinely listening to my concerns and desired outcomes. Based on my skin concerns, we decided to do the gold facial. Although I felt like I was in good hands, I wished that she had told me a bit more about exactly what she was going to do or what products she was going to use. Regardless, the treatment area was clean and relaxing. Once the facial begin, she cleansed, exfoliated, extracted, and massaged a variety of products into my skin. It lasted about an hour and by the end of it, my skin really felt great. I had no irritation and my pores looked smaller. This was a relief because my skin is very sensitive and has endured extreme reactions to treatments at other spas in the past. If anything, my skin felt soothed from this treatment. Preeti took the time to recommend a plan to prep my skin for my upcoming wedding in November. She explained that it would be best to come in for a facial once a month. Any client who visits once a month will receive a 20% on their services. Nice incentive to return! In summary, I really enjoyed my time at Preeti's. Because this is a one woman operation, it's not the same experience as visiting a larger spa. Along the same vein, your appointment is also likely to be more personal. Her prices are fair even without the Groupon and I definitely plan to return for not only more facials but other services as well. read more

I used to get my eyebrows waxed at any random salon that would take me but the wax always caused me to break out and I hated the redness around my eyebrows that would last a few hours after a wax. I decided to give threading a try. 1. I will never go back to waxing again, after I experienced threading. 2. I will never see anyone for an eyebrow thread other than Preeti. She is the FIRST and ONLY person that I will allow to touch my eyebrows. I've always had thicker eyebrows and my last waxing appointment ended with me leaving with different shaped eyebrows (not very different, but if you looked at them for a bit you would notice the different shapes). Preeti fixed the shaping so that the brows were evenly shaped. I'm also always worried about too much being taken off when I would get waxed and I explained my concerns to Preeti and she threaded them perfectly. They weren't my usual thick eyebrows, but they weren't thin, honestly just the way I asked her and the pictures that I showed her. She has done an incredible job each time I have gotten threaded by her and I cannot trust anyone else. I desperately needed to get my eyebrows threaded one day but she was already closed. However, I couldn't put my trust in anyone else so I ended up waiting for an open appointment by her because I always know she won't botch up my eyebrows (which is not something you want botched up since they are a main feature on the face). She has also been in the business for quite a while and eyebrow threading is done in her culture which made me put more of my trust in her. There aren't many threading places in Buffalo, just the ones in the mall. But they don't have workers that are as trained and have been doing this for as long as she has. read more

Moving from NYC to buffalo meant I had to find a new brow lady (desperately) and we all know how much of a hassle it is. Preeti's spa is definitely a level up from your typical mall threading salons in buffalo. Interior is clean and soothing; however it's a one woman show (no receptionist so just sit tight until she greets you). She was able to fit me in last minute on a Saturday afternoon (score for procrastination!) and listened to exactly what I wanted (light shaping but most to cleaning the strays). She also offers a promotion on free eyebrow threading but it requires you to buy a package instead of offering a punch card :( Will definitely return again! read more

I have visited here about 3 times now and every time I've went, Preeti is very friendly but there are draw-backs. She'll schedule appointments, as this is the only way she will take you - but she will schedule multiple appointments at once and then have you waiting for up to half an hour to get your eyebrows done. This is kind of unacceptable as you are making an appointment for a certain time and she will schedule other girls at the exact same time and when she calls someone - she will say "okay whose next?" ...no no no, that really doesn't work. It's awkward and unprofessional. Her work was great at first, and then became spotty and inconsistent. I had my hair and makeup done by Preeti for 3 wedding parties (Indian wedding). From the minute I met her, she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed which was great because I had just traveled by car from Texas with 2 young kids. She is so sweet and kind and extremely talented with party hair and makeup. She even helped with draping on a couple of my Indian outfits. What a wonderful experience. I called Preeti on a Saturday morning hoping to get a last minute threading appointment and she squeezed me in and took care of me about an hour after I called. This was my first threading experience and it was wonderful! I told her I would like a shape to my eyebrows (since waxing never has) and she did a beautiful job!
