Coming from the provider's perspective, Premera went from being the best to work with, to wishing we could drop them, and nearly about to do so even at the cost of many patients. They won't provide information on what they actually cover and don't. Their representatives are handcuffed and start by indicating they can't discuss such. refer to a website that provides barely basic information, leaving extensive questions, with the only option being to send in predeterminations, that rarely get completed and returned. I'm spending time doing this rather than trying to decipher a new patient's plan, knowing I won't have any way of getting the answers within the month, if at all.
