I love banking here because the lines are short. That really is the number one reason. But today I feel especially loved because I was acknowledged by name several times by several different people. The teller who wears a mask all the time, Randy or something, is very rude not only to myself but anybody who asks him to do certain tasks like reporting fraud. If I was only rating on the service received from America, I would have awarded 5 stars. But this rating is based on the amount of time waiting in lines sitting in chairs every time there are banking needs. Today I was helping my mom with her banking, She is in her 80's, uses a walker and is on oxygen. We had to wait for more than 2 hours to see a bank employee. Mom was very tired and nearly out of oxygen by the time someone was available to help her!!! I watched 6 persons/parties walk in and leave, not willing to stand in line behind perhaps 25 other customers while waiting to see one of the 2 or 3 tellers. I heard a lot of negative comments exchanged between disgruntled customers standing in that long, slow moving line. We have a fair amount of cash at Premier America ... but not for long. I understand these Yelp reviews are read by the corporate staff. Is this true? Are you folks reading all the 1 star ratings learning why your customers are leaving? read more

Rosa was able get us a better car loan deal than my car dealership! Also Premier's gap insurance is over 50% less than what the dealership was quoting us! I have been with Premier for over 20 years and that says a lot. It's a tight knit community where they respect their regular customers. My only recommendation is that they need to have more branches along the west coast, especially in the Bay Area!! read more

Usually when I walk in I go straight to the teller, with little to no wait. Although I went in near closing on a Friday; payday for everyone. Which may have been a bad idea, because you should already know that's when any bank will be the busiest. For the first time I saw a line, it was one of those lines that while you're waiting for your turn.... the next person to enter walks up behind you and says "Oh s***", and they might even leave. When I got to the teller though, it had really only been less than a 5 minute wait. The team here was really efficient at moving the line down. Basically all windows were open with tellers there to help, unlike other banks i've been to that have 4 windows closed, and only 2 tellers helping even though there's a line. I first dealt with Tiffany and she has a really positive attitude; a great person to be around if you're not having a great day because her happiness is contagious. Then since my request was a bit complex, and of course they're trying to be as efficient as possible, I was then moved on to be helped by Ingrid. She also had a positive attitude but I mostly want to commend her for how collective she was despite how busy they were this day and making me feel like she wasn't in a rush to get me out, but doing things in a timely manner and still making sure all my needs were met and questions were answered. Overall great team, i've dealt with others and still received the same great service but have missed their names. Keep up the great work though! It is very much appreciated. read more

I can't believe I still bank with them. Recently a restaurant overcharged me, coincidentally I was attempting to purchase photos from my trip in Mexico therefore the bank called to confirm the transaction. When the bank person called to confirm my transaction I let her know that the restaurant charge was more than what my bill was. She proceeded to tell me "call the restaurant and deal with it through them" WHAT? I was so pissed because this was the second time someone overcharged me YET the bank doesn't support me. To my knowledge other banks go through the dispute for their customer and will reimburse the money. I still can't believe I'm yet to receive an email or any form of communication notifying me that they are in the process of disputing mind you it's been 3 days. Terrible customer service! Take your money elsewhere. read more

Went in to ask if they could give me change because I normally make deposits there for my credit union.They said that they didn't give change to non customers which I understand and then I also asked if I could do a cash advance then they said they are not able to do cash advances in the branch and do not have the machine for it . This Premier America branch was amazing. My first day in there, I was greeted and welcomed right away by Michael, the branch manager. Michael is very knowledgeable and can answer any question. Michael gets done what needs to be done and helped me out so much. Individual rating for Michael is a 5 out of 5. The next day, I was on the phone with Rosa. Rosa was so very helpful as well and answered questions the dealership asked. 5 out of 5 for Rosa. The last person I worked with is Ingrid. Ingrid is the assistant branch manager. Ingrid helped me finalize my loan and was very personable and intelligent at her job. 5 out of 5 for Ingrid. Lastly, the branch over all has a positive vibe. Very unhappy to hear that Premier America will be charging $2 for receiving paper statements after February 29 if you don't enroll in e-statements. I feel as a whole Pacific Oaks used to be much better. I primarily bank with Chase for this reason -- go to any other bank and they won't charge for receiving your statement in the mail. read more

You can conduct your needs online, including deposits, transfer of funds, making loan payments, etc. The only thing you have to do at an atm machine is withdraw funds. I have done business for 40 years with the previous credit unions but I am closing my acct tomorrow with this current one. Although customer representatives are very pleasant I get a puking headache that lasts for several days trying to be guided through the automated system or waiting to talk to a representative. They have to have the recording playing while they are talking and the on hold music blasts my ears out, I get a violent headache and the menu choices do not seem to guide me to where I need to go to access services. I still can't navigate that system. I do not want to have to call a service rep to do any of this for me. I need to transfer money from one account to another and I have to call customer service every time and they are not open when I need, and I am not willing to make myself ill and hassle with this anymore. They can't give me the selection numbers to make it easy to use. I call customer service again and their guidance doesn't get me help with that. I've had nothing but problems from the very first day. I contacted the company and I am completely not satisfied. After three months, I am not willing to have to keep calling customer service to have them do what should be an easy access that I never, ever, ever had a problem with for 40 years before, even when I lived out of state and used the Oxnard branch. read more

The worst bank to bank with. They were better when they were Pacific oaks. Had nothing but problems with them since they merged with premiere america. They try to get you with any type of fees that they can, they hold your deposited checks for weeks before putting it in your checking account, customer service is rude/incompetent, and now my card was turned off due to suspicious transactions made in Chicago when I live in California. They didn't even have the courteousy to advise that my debit/cc stopped working. Do not bank here, I advise you to go somewhere else, trust me. I will be saving you time and headaches. read more

I have been going in and making deposits and payments for my parents for several years. They are late in age so it is difficult for them to come in, Normally I have a pleasant experience in this branch. However, my last visit was awful. I walked into pleasantly find that there was no line yet the one teller who was available was taking selfies. I waited for a good five minutes before another teller had to tell her that I was waiting for assistance. Stephanie gave no apology and she was EXTREMELY rude and too pushy when trying to get me to apply for a credit card and or a loan. When she realized I wasn't giving in to her rude sales pitch she became increasingly rude. The second encounter, I had brought my mother in and during the whole visit she kept getting on her cell phone. Again my parents are both up in age and really wished that my mother was given full attention. When the time comes my parents will be withdrawing there certificate and banking elsewhere, I was considering to switch from my current bank to Premier America but not after this experience. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I was with Pacific Oaks Credit Union before it merged to Premier America, and they promised nothing would change. However, they cost me 12000 reward points, and when I call to find out what happened, I get promised they'll "look into it and get back to" me. Except they don't. I used to do all my depositing through the drive through ATM at CBC (thanks to the CO-OP,) except anything that gets deposited through the ATM now takes at least 3 business days to clear. That means if I deposit money on a Wednesday, I can't access it until the following Monday! The only way to have money available immediately is to go into the branch, but the lines are so long, it's an incredible inconvenience. I get calls frequently checking on "suspicious purchases" that are not really suspicious (once I got called twice in the same day for the same purchases!) However, a weekend trip to Vegas didn't raise any flags whatsoever. The final straw, however, is claiming my employer said I was supposed to get paid on a Monday when the pay stub clearly says Friday (and several coworkers who use other banks got paid Friday), leaving me without money over the weekend. So glad to be leaving them! read more
