I opened an account at Premier America less than a year ago at the Oxnard Blvd location. I have had some issues since I have been a member, and the issues that I have had going on were no fault of the Credit Union. New to the bank and somewhat feeling embarrased to ask for help to resolve a problem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, after all that being said I want share the fact that the branch Manager Juan personally assisted me, and followed me through the process until I was ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Juan is a perfect example for his employees as well as the customers. Juan is humble, kind, patient and he knows how to get things done and he will go as far as he can without breaking rules to see t o it that his customers are happy. Lastly, I contemplated making the decision to say this but it needs to be said that Camarillo PACU, is exactly what I experience the very first time that I visited the branch. I wish I had never ever went there and if I can help it, I wont be going back. Juan should be the Regional Manager and Shelly his assistant. My husband has been an account holder with Premier America Credit Union since he was 8 years old, so our family has a very long history with this institution. Unfortunately, I am shocked and extremely disappointed by how they have handled a serious issue that is now damaging his personal credit. His mortgage is directly with Premier America Credit Union--not with a third-party company. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After he spoke with the credit union, they acknowledged that there had been a problem with their online system and told him they would work with the department handling his mortgage to resolve the issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, nothing has been corrected, and the late payment is still negatively affecting his credit report. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He called Premier America again because the issue remained unresolved, but they refused to take meaningful action. They would not even transfer him to a manager or someone with the authority to properly address the situation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their lack of concern, accountability, and customer service has been terrible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The issue was caused in part by a confusing and unreliable online banking system that did not clearly show that his mortgage payment was past due. Premier America acknowledged that there was a system problem, yet they are still unwilling to help correct the damage it caused. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am truly shocked that a longtime customer could be treated this way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is affecting my husband's personal credit, and the credit union does not seem concerned about the consequences. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with Premier America Credit Union. Their online system is misleading, their communication is poor, and their customer service has been extremely disappointing. read more

After having totaled my BMW, I was looking to buy a new car. This credit union gave me the best rate for a car loan so I decided to go with them when I got my new-to-me car! Always had the best customer service. When I went in to pay off my loan, the rep celebrated with me! Yay to no more car payments and great customer service! By far best experience I've had banking. I have a few auto loans and personal loans with Premier America. Rosa Tapia has been amazing she has gone above and beyond to help us get the best rate possible when i refinanced my auto loan. The whole team and Rosa in particular provided sunch a professional and kind customer service and are so fast at responding i don't know how they do it. They have better interest rates, better customer service and they are really looking out for your best interest. Would highly recommend. If I was only rating on the service received from America, I would have awarded 5 stars. But this rating is based on the amount of time waiting in lines sitting in chairs every time there are banking needs. Today I was helping my mom with her banking, She is in her 80's, uses a walker and is on oxygen. We had to wait for more than 2 hours to see a bank employee. Mom was very tired and nearly out of oxygen by the time someone was available to help her!!! I watched 6 persons/parties walk in and leave, not willing to stand in line behind perhaps 25 other customers while waiting to see one of the 2 or 3 tellers. I heard a lot of negative comments exchanged between disgruntled customers standing in that long, slow moving line. We have a fair amount of cash at Premier America ... but not for long. I understand these Yelp reviews are read by the corporate staff. Is this true? Are you folks reading all the 1 star ratings learning why your customers are leaving? read more

Rosa was able get us a better car loan deal than my car dealership! Also Premier's gap insurance is over 50% less than what the dealership was quoting us! I have been with Premier for over 20 years and that says a lot. It's a tight knit community where they respect their regular customers. My only recommendation is that they need to have more branches along the west coast, especially in the Bay Area!! read more

Usually when I walk in I go straight to the teller, with little to no wait. Although I went in near closing on a Friday; payday for everyone. Which may have been a bad idea, because you should already know that's when any bank will be the busiest. For the first time I saw a line, it was one of those lines that while you're waiting for your turn.... the next person to enter walks up behind you and says "Oh s***", and they might even leave. When I got to the teller though, it had really only been less than a 5 minute wait. The team here was really efficient at moving the line down. Basically all windows were open with tellers there to help, unlike other banks i've been to that have 4 windows closed, and only 2 tellers helping even though there's a line. I first dealt with Tiffany and she has a really positive attitude; a great person to be around if you're not having a great day because her happiness is contagious. Then since my request was a bit complex, and of course they're trying to be as efficient as possible, I was then moved on to be helped by Ingrid. She also had a positive attitude but I mostly want to commend her for how collective she was despite how busy they were this day and making me feel like she wasn't in a rush to get me out, but doing things in a timely manner and still making sure all my needs were met and questions were answered. Overall great team, i've dealt with others and still received the same great service but have missed their names. Keep up the great work though! It is very much appreciated. read more

Went in to ask if they could give me change because I normally make deposits there for my credit union.They said that they didn't give change to non customers which I understand and then I also asked if I could do a cash advance then they said they are not able to do cash advances in the branch and do not have the machine for it . I can't believe I still bank with them. Recently a restaurant overcharged me, coincidentally I was attempting to purchase photos from my trip in Mexico therefore the bank called to confirm the transaction. When the bank person called to confirm my transaction I let her know that the restaurant charge was more than what my bill was. She proceeded to tell me "call the restaurant and deal with it through them" WHAT? I was so pissed because this was the second time someone overcharged me YET the bank doesn't support me. To my knowledge other banks go through the dispute for their customer and will reimburse the money. I still can't believe I'm yet to receive an email or any form of communication notifying me that they are in the process of disputing mind you it's been 3 days. Terrible customer service! This Premier America branch was amazing. My first day in there, I was greeted and welcomed right away by Michael, the branch manager. Michael is very knowledgeable and can answer any question. Michael gets done what needs to be done and helped me out so much. Individual rating for Michael is a 5 out of 5. The next day, I was on the phone with Rosa. Rosa was so very helpful as well and answered questions the dealership asked. 5 out of 5 for Rosa. The last person I worked with is Ingrid. Ingrid is the assistant branch manager. Ingrid helped me finalize my loan and was very personable and intelligent at her job. 5 out of 5 for Ingrid. Lastly, the branch over all has a positive vibe. Very unhappy to hear that Premier America will be charging $2 for receiving paper statements after February 29 if you don't enroll in e-statements. I feel as a whole Pacific Oaks used to be much better. I primarily bank with Chase for this reason -- go to any other bank and they won't charge for receiving your statement in the mail. read more

The worst bank to bank with. They were better when they were Pacific oaks. Had nothing but problems with them since they merged with premiere america. They try to get you with any type of fees that they can, they hold your deposited checks for weeks before putting it in your checking account, customer service is rude/incompetent, and now my card was turned off due to suspicious transactions made in Chicago when I live in California. They didn't even have the courteousy to advise that my debit/cc stopped working. Do not bank here, I advise you to go somewhere else, trust me. I will be saving you time and headaches. read more
