However, the loan provider never received the title to the vehicle we purchased. When I reached out to Tom's Auto several times to resolve the issue and showed up in person I was given the runaround and even laughed at for being concerned that I had paid off a vehicle and had no title for it. I don't even think they tried to locate the title or investigate what happened. It was a huge hassle. I was told by the loan provider that this is a common occurrence with Tom's Auto, though I've read reviews about them from different platforms and have not seen anything pertaining to this particular issue. After spending time making phone calls to Tom's and the loan provider and being told to go to the DOT and then to go to the county treasurer I did have the issue resolved at the treasurers office. I did get the title to my vehicle. It was very frustrating and unnecessary to have to deal with this. All because the documents were mishandled.

I knew that there would be a few things that would likely need replaced soon due to having 200k miles. We made a list and purchased parts for everything that goes bad around this mileage. No problem at all and I absolutely love this purchase! This is an as-is dealership. In my opinion, if you're looking for a turn-key vehicle that's going to be perfect for you for years to come with zero maintenance required - go buy something brand new. I see a lot of reviews that seem to think Tom's is responsible for their used, high mileage, low-priced vehicle having issues. Do your own research and know the common issues the vehicle you're buying has at the mileage you're purchasing it at. Then decide if it's worth the cost to fix those things after purchasing. I had a great experience, it was so fast and easy.

The transmission is on its last legs and the shops are quoting me 7,000$ dollars to get it replaced(almost as much as I paid for the car.) along with other issues as well. I have owned the car for less than five months and discovered what a piece of junk it is (after I paid top dollar for the car is worth). Avoid this dealership at all costs, especially if you don't have a ton of cash lying around to repair the car they sell you, and beware of any car you do end up purchasing. Overall, I feel screwed over, and if you are not careful. You will likely end up in the same situation I am in. This place will screw you over with no remorse, and this is the exact type of place that gives car dealerships a bad reputation. Beware, and buy at the risk of being screwed over. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you need any more information on experiences with them. Look it up on Facebook, etc. I am far from the first person being screwed over by them, and I am sure I am far from the last. I cant emphasize enough, avoid this dealership at all costs!!!

Car City - The lie.. the only key and fabricated stories of this phantom partnering key or 2nd key.

At the time of purchase, both the owner Darby and the salesperson explicitly represented that a second key was included and assured me it would be sent to me right away. Afterwards that the money was sent and this representation being a key factor in my decision to move forward with the purchase. What followed was a frustrating series of excuses, contradictions, and outright fabrications. I was told vague stories about "a guy named Joe" supposedly having the key, only to be given the runaround, hung up on, and sent on a complete goose chase that wasted a lot of my time and patience. Ultimately, the promised key never materialized, and I am now being told that replacing this high tech 2021 M5 key through the Dealer will cost approximately a bit over $1,000--a cost that exists solely because Car City failed to honor their word or simply find whats now pointless cost/ expenditure. This is not a minor oversight; it is a clear case of misrepresentation. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic integrity shown throughout this process is unacceptable. A dealership that conducts business this way should not be trusted. I strongly advise potential buyers to get everything in writing and to think twice before dealing with Car City. Buyer Beware seriously. This dealership will promise you anything it takes to close the sale and then vanish like Casper the ghost the moment the paperwork is signed. Their word means absolutely nothing. They rely on deceptive tactics, including slipping a so-called "one-pager" - "No Promise" into the paperwork that conveniently attempts to nullify every verbal commitment they made to you minutes earlier. It's a calculated maneuver designed to give them cover later so they can claim they "never promised anything." All the while telling you it's on its way. This is not an honest mistake or miscommunication -- it's a pattern of behavior meant to mislead customers and dodge responsibility after the deal is done. If you choose to do business with Car City, assume every promise will be broken, every follow-up will be ignored, and every issue will suddenly become your problem. Get every single detail in writing, read every line twice, and understand that once they have your money, their integrity disappears completely. Bottom line: even if in writing, it doesn't exist at Car City. Expect promises to vanish the moment they have your money. This dealership talks a good game until the sale is complete. After that, accountability disappears and excuses begin. This dealership operates on misrepresentation, excuses, and denial. If integrity matters to you, do not do business here...
