There aren't enough words to describe how much I love Premier birth center. The staff, the care, and the sense of friendship/family you will not get anywhere else imo. I initially went here when I was pregnant with my Covid baby that was due December of 2020. The thought of going to the hospital during that time terrified me and a family member had mentioned having her baby at premier so I decided to check it out. Needless to say once I did I knew it was the right place to birth my baby. Everyone made me feel safe and welcomed. I was allowed visitors and I wasn't forced to wear a mask during my labor. Fast forward a couple years and I had my 3rd baby in October of 2023 so 2 of my babies were born there!They always greet us with the biggest smiles and they genuinely love seeing how big the kids have gotten. It feels like a family at this point. My birth experiences have been absolutely amazing with Premier and I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Where do I start? Everyone is incredible here! They treat you with respect and ensure you know you're valued. They listen to your requests and accommodate to the best of their abilities. They are nice and sweet. I just love this place! It feels like a spa visit whenever I come in! None of the pressures of OBGYN offices. I usually have a white coat syndrome in OB offices. Not here. Also, the birthing rooms are awesome and are covered by my insurance. Just overall amazing experiences every time I'm here! read more

I have such overwhelming gratitude for everyone at Premier Birth Center Chantilly. From pre-conception through postpartum, the care I received was compassionate and evidence-based. Everyone worked so hard to help me experience my dream of a home waterbirth. When I handed in my birth plan, I was told "Thank you". This struck me so deeply because I never heard that when I had hospital births! What a difference to have my wishes be welcomed and actively worked toward by my care provider. The team at Premier helped me work through both a physical and deeply emotional time of my baby's birth. I trusted them with the process and had the most beautiful birth and postpartum. I want to thank Nancy McMillen-Torres, CPM for all of her incredible support during my birth. Having a natural birth at a birth center was so important to me and Nancy made sure to support me on that all the way through!! When I was 10cm dilated & water hadn't broken and I was ready to throw in the towel, Nancy guided me into the birthing tub where my water broke and baby was ready to come! Nancy made me feel safe and cared for. While being empathetic, she made me feel strong and ready to deliver this baby! I am so grateful for her and the nurse she had with her during my delivery. They made one heck of a team! Nancy truly went above and beyond! She definitely loves what she does, and I'm so grateful she's sharing her gifts with the world! I would like to write so much more, as this facility is so deserving - from Danielle's admin skills who always stayed on top of things or processed things super quick; Mayanne and other staff and nurses (I was out of it and cannot recall names) were so generous, patient, and encouraging during labor; and Sharon who went above and beyond and to who we will forever be indebted. For transparency, after 2 days of labor and 1 super painful day of active labor I finally opted to transfer to Inova for an epidural. What followed were very stressful and unhappy time spent in a few hospitals, I say this because if you can birth at Premier Center... you should. I thank God that my son js here, his health was paramount. But if you can safely stick it out, and baby is making progress - don't give up! My interaction with staff was always transparent and genuine, they love what they do and in general the experience with these Midwives vs. hospital OB/GYNs etc. is a stark contrast. This birth center and the midwives who run it are pure gold. I can't thank the midwives enough - specifically Sharon - for enabling me to have my dream home water birth. They support and prepare you throughout all of pregnancy so well. They have a detailed care guide, which is such a helpful reference! You can read through it bit by bit, or skip to the parts you're curious about. It's thorough and helpful. The midwives and support team are available 24/7 to answer any and all of your questions, either via their web portal (which they're super responsive through!), phone calls, or text messages. Sharon and Mayanne attend the majority of deliveries, Kim runs the center and does prenatals and is very responsive via the web portal. Man oh man are they ALL great. They are calm and non-alarmist, encouraging, and just wonderful. Everything they do is based on evidence-based best practices, not outdated protocols or policies. We saw Mayanne only a handful of times, but she hosted the 3rd trimester kickoff class and the birth day planning class, and she talked me down off a ledge when I was panicking that I'd shown zero signs of labor at 39+ weeks. She is wonderful. Then there is Sharon. Sharon is pure magic. We'd seen her the majority of our visits, from our initial tour right up through our birth and postpartum care. She made us feel calm, confident, empowered, strong, prepared - all the things you want to feel heading into a birth, whether it's your first or your seventh (this was my second). We felt safe with her, knowing she would handle anything. Her energy is positive and uplifting, and you can tell she really loves being a midwife. At prenatals she was reassuring but thorough, and was so accessible to us at all times. Plus my 3 year old son LOVES her :) During labor she was a dream. She was just a calm presence, intermittently checking baby's heart tones and otherwise standing back, observing me, and letting my body do what it needed to do. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to just let your body do what it needs to do, without anyone coaching or telling you what to do. It's how birth should be. It was truly the birth of my dreams and I am so grateful. I highly recommend this birth center for all mamas, regardless of the kind of birth they want. read more

My wife and I went to this facility to have a simple 20 week ultrasound done. The staff informed us we would need to wear masks during our appointment. We objected to them and asked the staff to provide the law or rule that compels patrons to wear masks in their facility and what they do for those with exemptions. Nobody could answer questions so I eventually called the owner Kim and asked her the basic questions of what law or rule are they following to ask my pregnant wife to breath her own CO2. When she couldn't produce one I asked why she felt ok segregating and discriminating from the public. She got understandably frustrated with that question since nobody in their office knows the rules they're enforcing and Kim herself doesn't know what she's doing. I was told on the phone from Kim that she "can enforce any rule she wants." This woman used to work for the Virginia government, you'd think she knows how laws and procedure work, evidently not. As it stands there is no law either Federal or State that compels a man or woman to wear a mask at any facility. Falling back on and blaming the CDC is no excuse at this point. She and the staff are asking pregnant mothers to breathe CO2 without offering informed consent as well as violating their oath to "Do No Harm" to their patients. We will not be recommending them to anyone. There is zero professionalism in this office. read more

I switched to Premier late in my pregnancy for my VBAC in the middle of the covid pandemic. It was the best decision I made for my pregnancy. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, and the midwives truly care about you and helping you achieve your birth goals. Before switching, a couple of OBs said my baby would be too big for my frame and that I couldn't have a vaginal birth. After laboring for 1.5 hours, I arrived at the center and pushed for 1.5 hours in the tub, successfully giving birth to a very large baby boy. Everything went well with my midwife, Mayanne, and my doula guiding me through my labor naturally and without making me wear a belly monitor or IV. After giving birth, I snuggled and breastfed my son in bed withwhile Mayanne and the nurses took care of us. It was an awesome experience and my post-partum healing was 100x better than after my previous c-section. My husband also really loved the center and midwife model - he said he felt included in the process and treated as a member of the birth team. I can't say enough good things about these awesome women and highly recommend the center. read more
