While the cosmetic bonding was meant to improve my smile, I am less happy with how it looks now than before. In my experience with one specific tooth, the material did not appear contoured flush to my tooth structure, leaving what felt like a noticeable overhanging margin. Because it did not feel properly sealed against the tooth, it created what felt like a constant trap for plaque and food, making it incredibly difficult to clean. Due to my concerns over potential gum irritation and the risk of decay under the material, I chose to visit a different dentist a few days later to have the bonding fixed and re-contoured. As shown in the attached photos, which I took just a few days after my initial appointment, the top of the bonding on this tooth was raised over my gum line and did not appear attached to my actual tooth structure. My photos demonstrate my experience clearly: I could easily slip dental floss directly behind the top front edge of the bonding because of this physical gap. Furthermore, the material feels excessively bulky in my mouth, and the final shapes of the teeth are aesthetically unappealing to me. I spent a significant amount of money here on cosmetic work. Ultimately, I am very unsatisfied and disappointed with these results. It is not only frustrating, but heartbreaking to invest so much money into a procedure only to feel unhappy with the outcome, and I truly wish I had gone elsewhere!

I have never in my life written a negative review on a practice/business, but this is necessary…read more Foremost, the 2-Stars were given GENEROUSLY as when I did see the dentists' at Lyndhurst Family Dental it was a positive experience. However, I was found today to have been "dismissed" from the practice. Well that is just bizarre to me to begin with. I was dismissed because, and I DO somewhat understand the logic, I was ONE no-call/no-show. Okay... however, the ONE no-call/no-show? I was battling COVID. I have the paperwork. It is in black & white. I indeed did not show up and/or call because, AGAIN, I was battling COVID. I did not even know what day it was for nearly 3 weeks, and that is no exaggeration. I feel as if, after providing Lyndhurst Family Dental with CCF proof of being COVID positive at that exact time, my "dismissal" should be/have been reconsidered. When I spoke with a "higher up," Faith, I was astounded with the amount of disrespect I was treated with for what I feel, is no clear and/or logical reason. After looking back at our "conversation," per say, I am still in disbelief. I asked Faith if I may simply email "to whom it may concern" in order to get behind the matter. She responded with, "yes, but she won't respond to you anyway... you've been dismissed." Okay? Well Faith then began to raise her voice at me & literally said, "you will not speak to me this way." Excuse me, but I will NOT EVER allow anyone to speak down to me or raise their voice at me. I was monotonic, I was polite, maintained, and I NEVER use or used vulgarity. Did I raise my voice AFTER Faith said such? I did indeed in order to speak over & UP for myself. Again, I will not allow myself to be treated in such a manner. Nevertheless, I was still courteous, and I even apologized to Faith at the end of our "conversation" as I should not have raised my voice in kind (to hers). I suppose I should have also apologized for catching COVID? Oh my. Needless to say, I will/would NEVER return to Lyndhurst Family Dental, whether my "dismissal" was reconsidered or not. I'm still in shock. How TERRIBLY UNACCEPTABLE.

The Office Manager didn't even attempt to come & speak with me regarding this matter. I was refused care because did not to pay for my visit upfront, to later reimbursed by my insurance company. When Dr. Roger Hess entered the room, instead of focusing on the appointment, he began offering explanations for his late arrival. I made it clear that the excuses were not my concern and that I wanted to move forward with the appointment professionally. What immediately stood out to me was that while I was addressing the situation, he was smiling and laughing, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional given the circumstances. Shortly after that, it became obvious he had not reviewed my referral and did not even know why I was there. At one point, he commented that he would need to read through the 10-page VA referral during the appointment itself, which confirmed he was completely unprepared. As both a veteran and a counselor, I understand healthcare offices can run behind at times. However, being over an hour late, unprepared, and unfamiliar with the reason for the visit is not acceptable--especially after a patient drives a significant distance for care. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating and unproductive medical appointments I have experienced.

Upon arrival, the team was assessing my teeth to see what shade I was currently at. They brought in Dr. Silver to confirm my shade and before proceeding- they advised my teeth may not get much whiter (pleasantly surprised as she explained since they're my teeth, I am going to view them as yellowed). They allowed me to make the choice and after chatting with the group I decided to purchase some whitening solution for home use. I appreciate their honesty and am writing this to inform the public that while they could have charged me for the in-office treatment (it's not cheap folks- but I knew that going in :) ) they had integrity and let me decide how I wanted to proceed.
