Amy had adorable pet photos in her room and told me all about her fur babies. Amy did such a thorough job with my teeth cleaning. She was so thoughtful to hand me chapstick to keep my lips moist throughout the cleaning. She gave a detailed explanation of what she was doing and told me of any teeth that needed extra attention or might need some repairs soon. Once she was completed with my cleaning Dr. Marsh checked her work. He is very kind and personable. One thing to note is that he is a perfectionist. He will often want to fix cosmetic related things with your teeth, and is honest if it is necessary dental work or just aesthetic. I got a groove in my tooth filled on based on his recommendation that not only will my tooth look nicer, but it will help the aggravation he was starting to see near my gum line. I will always go back to Dr. Marsh for my future teeth cleanings and dental work. There is simply no better dentist in the area.

Upon arrival, the team was assessing my teeth to see what shade I was currently at. They brought in Dr. Silver to confirm my shade and before proceeding- they advised my teeth may not get much whiter (pleasantly surprised as she explained since they're my teeth, I am going to view them as yellowed). They allowed me to make the choice and after chatting with the group I decided to purchase some whitening solution for home use. I appreciate their honesty and am writing this to inform the public that while they could have charged me for the in-office treatment (it's not cheap folks- but I knew that going in :) ) they had integrity and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. I, Dr. Howard Friedman MD regret having to write this, but my wife, Ibojka Friedman's experience at Sher Smiles was profoundly disappointing--particularly because it wasn't the dental care itself that left a bad taste, but the deceptive and unethical billing practices. Dr. Deena Sher evaluated what was clearly a minor, benign mouth lesion. The initial consultation was nearly $200, which we expected. What we did not expect was an additional $600 fee to "prepare" the lesion for outside pathology review--on top of whatever the external lab charged (which was not included in their estimate). That brought a simple, benign oral cyst to a cost of over $1,000, despite our dental insurance. The most troubling issue is that Sher Smiles chose not to submit the pathology charges to our insurance. Why? Because it didn't benefit their bottom line--just ours. That decision was made without our input or consent. When you're facing a potential health issue, you want transparency and trust. What we got instead was a surprise bill and a sense that profit took precedence over patient care. A benign diagnosis came at a premium price--and Sher Smiles made sure we bore the full burden. That's not just disappointing. It's unethical. We would not recommend this office to anyone seeking honest, compassionate care. Buyer beware.
