My experience was the best l've had at a dental practice. From the beginning the front desk staff were very nice and smiled and actually appear like they love their jobs. We moved to TN from NY at the beginning of Covid and had not seen a dentist for several years now. Glasscock Dentistry on Nolensville Road is fantastic! They have a great location with front door parking. The office is welcoming and super clean! Every single staff member treated us like we had been coming there for years. Amy, our hygenist, was gentle and kind. She kept us informed each step of the way and my kids loved her. One of my kids has special needs so I worry a little more about her. Dr. Glasscock made her so comfortable and treated her with such compassion. My daughter isn't afraid to go back and that makes a big difference. A couple of my kids needed a referral and appointment with a surgeon to have wisdom teeth extracted. The wonderful young woman at the front desk made all of the calls for us and set everything up so all we had to do was show up. She went above and beyond to help us out and get us where we needed to be. If you are looking for a dentist, I suggest you make an appointment with Glasscock Dental and for goodness sakes, don't forget to floss!

I have no problem paying out of pocket for cleanings.  I go to the dentist every 6 months, and have never had a bad experience with cleanings. I'm also no stranger paying out of pocket. I made an appointment with Hickory Plaza Dental. They're website advertised "new patient, first time cleaning for $59." I called to make sure that was true with no hidden fees. The receptionist on the phone was very kind and assured me it was. I floss daily but know the only way to avoid plaque is to get your teeth professionally cleaned, routinely.  I came in and took my x-rays, the doctor came in and told me my teeth looked healthy and there were no problems. I then waited for over an hour for the dental hygienist, instead some other woman came in and tried to upsell me. For the $59 the cleaning won't be more than brushing your teeth at home, and my next cleaning would be $900+. Today, for the basic cleaning service, I would have to pay $300+. This is insane. I have never paid more than $150 for a cleaning WITHOUT insurance. I was so confused. She then asked for my credit card right there while I was sitting in the dentist chair. I have never been to a doctor's office where they take payment in the midst of your appointment. If you read the fine print, none of this is listed. (picture below) The dental hygienist cleaned maybe four of my teeth. When I commented on this and had to ask her to clean all of them, she said the others didn't need it. This was truly the most bizarre dentist experience I've ever encountered. I saw the woman upselling me for longer than I saw the dental hygienist and dentist combined.   It ended up being an over a two hour appointment. It feels predatory for doctor's offices to take advantage of uninsured people.

My mouth was very sensitive at that appointment and the dental hygienist and Dr. Kenzie were so gentle and gave me amazing tips to give me a solution. I booked a cleaning with them two months later and, even with my dental anxiety, Emily did an amazing job with my cleaning. She was thorough and gentle - checking in with me along the way and offering options to make the cleaning more comfortable for me. They even were able to get quick x-rays when literally at every other dentist they've complained about the size of my mouth during the X-rays. Stacy is also so sweet at the front desk to make sure everything goes smoothly when you arrive and exit. Highly recommend!

They definitely exceeded my expectations on all levels. My daughter did not have a negative thing to say about them. First off, when you drive up to their office it's quite impressive. When we walked in we were greeted by two front desk assistants that were incredibly nice & professional. The waiting room was vibrant, clean & comfortable. I went back with my daughter, they got her settled in her room & went over things with me. (Very detailed) My daughter said the patient chairs were the best she'd ever been in. Her cleaning went well & she was very pleased with the end result! They recommended getting her wisdom teeth out (that won't be so wonderful, but necessary! She has severe TMJ issues that if not monitored things could get extremely painful for her. She got her braces off yesterday. So the dentist will play an instrumental part in making sure she doesn't slide backwards. The dentist was friendly & did a great job explaining what the next steps would be for her. We will definitely be going back for further dental needs.
