This review is based on the phone interaction between my aunt and Debbie, surgical coordinator. Debbie was rude and sarcastic to my aunt suggesting my aunt was misinformed about my uncle's proposed procedure. Debbie became irritated when she had to change my uncle's appointment twice and with sarcasm suggested that my aunt "needs to accompany my uncle next time!" My aunt is over 80 and uses a wheelchair. The rest of the office interaction has be extremely positive with front desk staff, Sandy, Christina, and Susan! If Debbie wants to make things right she needs to call and apologize to my aunt and I will remove the negative review! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Berlin for many years and am very pleased with the entire staff their caring and communication from if I had questions on the phone, to procedures in the office. The 1st time I visited this office for acne problem, I was seen by a kind and caring NP or PA. My acne was better, but a year later it came back. So I decided that this time I would insist on being seen by the dermatologist. When I came I had a NP again, but I told her I need the doctor. She left and sometime later came Dr. Berlin. He was the worst physician I have ever encountered. He was rude and dismissive. He didn't bother to examine the affected area of my skin other than a cursory look. I was once part of the admission committee for our med school. This character would have been immediately rejected. While med students are taught the science, they can't be taught manners. Those are built in. I recommend that you look for a much better doctor. read more

Very unprofessional and rude!! My husband was a new patient and liked Dr. Berlin, so I had called the office to book an appt. as a new patient. The girl who answered the phone had asked if I had insurance and I said it's the same as his as I'm under his plan. She puts me on hold and then comes back and says "call us back when you have your insurance information" and hung up the phone. So rude!! I called back, "Nancy" answers and I said the girl was very rude, and I asked to speak with a supervisor. She puts me on hold and doesn't come back. I called again and it goes to an automatic recording. I called yet again and they put me on hold again. I called their Delray office, spoke with Angela the supervisor who booked an appt for me. but after consideration I decided not to go to this office. You can thank your front desk staff. read more

I was his patient for 2+ years...up to about two years ago when I'd had enough. I have been severely over-biopsied and have all the scars to prove it. His accuracy rate is somewhere below 10%. Stay away. I am happily treated elsewhere these days with very successful results. I've had only one biopsy in last 24 months, a squamous cells site that was effectively eliminated. 1 for 1. When asked by my doctors and family why I have so many scars, I routinely say...the butcher of Boynton. Not a joke. Bad review. He deserves it. read more

I give Dr. Berlin a 5 star rating, I was his patient for 13 years and ways found him to be a professional caring Dictor. HOWEVER I began using his SOA for botox and fillers about 5 years ago, always was treated nicely. In October I tried calling for several days at different times, always getting an answering machine which was strange because there was always a girl at the desk to take money and answer the phone. On this particular day I was annoyed and left a message, I asked why noone was answering the phone and maybe I should let the owner er of the business know what was going on. The MANAGER of Said SPA called me, accused me of " threatening" her, she was nasty and unprofessional. She shouldn't be dealing with the public! My 95 year old mother went in to have a rash on her face looked at. The PA recommended a cream and the told her she needed biopsies on her chest and breast. She has many health conditions that would indicate cutting would not be a good idea. Blood disease, diabetics, heart etc. but while laying in the chair a95 year old had no choice and was unable to say stop. She now has massive infections in the locations and is in pain and the office Does not call back. I'll fine a new Derm office bc she refused to see that PA again. From Her daughter read more

I went to the office in East Boca Raton. I had an issue with a cyst draining. I never saw a doctor. The PA examined me and said it needed to be removed. After the 'procedure' he stitched me up and gave me instructions for care. These instructions did not allow the cyst to drain properly and I developed a terrible infection and ended up in the ER. They recommended follow up care with the physician. I called the office and was told I couldn't see the doctor, only the PA. They had availability in two days. I went to another doctor's office (who fit me in same day) and was told the infection was so bad, I might need hospitilization. Fortunately, oral antibiotics worked. Don't go to this office. The support staff is lovely but you won't get good care. read more

Made an appt for 8am (opening time for the office). I walked in at 7:58 and there were already TWELVE patients waiting and checked in. Waited 25 minutes to go back into a room. Had the pre check nurse write down my info. Waited another 25 minutes and opened the door to see how much longer ( I was the only patient that had been taken back who wasn't over 70 and retired and actually had to work) walked up the the employee who checked me in and before I could speak she pointed to me the way out of the office..... When I told the receptionist to cancel my appt because it had been an hour and I needed to get to work, she told me I can miraculously be seen immediately. Needless to say, I declined and will find a new dermatologist. Only giving two stars because I have been here before in the past and is close to home. read more

Dr. Berlin and his staff has a great office here.Very clean and professional. I was seen by the Nurse practitioner. She was very pleasant and thorough. I love how she just doesn't give a diagnosis. She waits for the results! Amazing place. A bit of a long wait but patience is a virtue. read more

I would not recommend this dermatology practice. They just want to make as much money off of you as they can. I've never met a doctor that I had to schedule separate appointments to address different concerns. They just want to make the follow up money. They don't really care about your health or care. I've been going to Dr. Berlin since he was at the old location nearby. Staff is usually friendly or atleast have a fake smile to take care of you. Usually they are good at keeping their appointment, and I never wait longer than 10mins in the waiting area. Today, it kind of took a little bit too long, but out of all the times I've been there- this is the first. I don't mind. Dr. Berlin is knowledge about skin care, but he isn't the type to make small talk. Tell him what your issues are, and he will answer them. I had a appointment with Dr. Dorene Niv she missed 2 moles one on my chest and another on the small of my back in full view. I called the business manger Angela Marks, she gave impression that it was my fault saying I didn't want the that part of my body seen,absolute nonsense !!!!I I asked her to call me back to get Dr. Niv's opinion... she has not called back. Awful!!! I had a procedure done by the plastic surgeon at Dr. Berlin's office. The procedure was scarring badly so I made an appointment to see Dr. Berlin. I have never been treated so horribly by a doctor. Here is what happened: Dr. Berlin spent less than 2 minutes in the room with me (watch in hand) even though I was having a serious problem with a procedure that had been done at his office. When I asked him a question regarding the procedure, and asked for further explanation he became irritated and didn't attempt to answer my question. He seemed bothered that I was questioning him at all. So I questioned him again and he became agitated. His face turned red as he was telling me to relax. Mind you, I was just sitting there listening to him raise his voice and speak rudely to me, yet he was telling me to relax. While I was silent. Next, instead of actually answering my question all he said was that everything would be fine. He was patronizing and rude and I absolutely would never recommend his practice to anyone. The office is brand new, beautiful, and clean, but it looks this way because Dr Berlin treats upwards of 50-60 patients an hour, rushes through visits without hardly looking at the patient, and treats patients like dollar signs instead of people. Most of the office staff is very pwonderful, this in no way is a reflection on them. However, if you are looking for a doctor that has any degree of bedside manner, Dr. Berlin is not it. read more

He is very professional and has great knowledge. Dr Berlin takes his time explaining my condition and treatment options. His staff is very friendly and professional as well. Scheduling an appointment is quick and easy and wait times are kept to a minimum. Premier Dermatology takes great care of me and truly cares about their patients. The visit was great. The doctor was professional and to the point which was good since I had other appointments to attend that day. They have a spa option and also pharmacist that can do mail delivery. The first visit usually takes a long time but this was extremely quick to fill out the information and the doctor didn't take long to enter the office. I arrived for my first appointment with Dr. Joshua Berlin. I completed several forms and was taken back to an exam room while the medical assistant entered the info into the computer. When all was completed she said "Someone from the patient care team will be in to see you." I asked if I were going to be seen by the doctor and she responded that the doctor left earlier in the day. I asked "Aren't all new patients seen by the doctor?" and the response was "Usually, but the doctor already left". If the doc had an emergency and had to leave I should have been called, or at least notified as soon as I registered at the desk. There was no regard or respect by the doctor or the facility regarding my time and I would not go back to this office or recommend that anyone be seen in this office. read more

By far the best dermatologist in South Florida. Not a long wait time. Beautiful newly renovated offices and a caring, kind staff. I also use the spa which is like no other. I will never go back to this doctor. When he came into the room he brought two nurses. I told him I was concerned about a lump I had and he said he would give me the name of a plastic surgeon. Never did. Instead he started giving me a half body exam which I did not ask him to do and he starts freezing off things on my legs without talking to me first and the next thing I know they're giving me three Novacaine shots in 3 moles on my back and cutting them off. He never asked permission, he never said to me there's three moles I'm a little concerned about is it OK if we take them off and biopsy them. I had just had a full body exam two months before so I don't think it was even necessary. Not only that everything was rushed and he never gave me the name of the surgeon or instructions on how to care for the biopsy sites. They gave me some sample appointments but didn't write down what they were for. read more
