This is an email I just wrote to the company: Steve, I just left a long voice mail; and I will follow up here. I just came home from my husband's party, that I worked so hard on planning for months. It's too bad the evening was ruined because of the DJ services. You told me on the phone you would be the DJ at my event. At 4:00pm on the evening of my event, you sent me an email (not even a phone call) with a different DJ's name. This is 2 and 1/2 hours before my party. I hadn't planned on checking my email so late in the day. Regardless, I wouldn't have minded so much if the DJ was good. Not only did the DJ have no personality, but he could not even mix records. When I introduced myself to the DJ, I asked him if he had my playlist; and he said yes. About a half hour later, when I didn't hear any songs from my playlist, I asked him again adding "because I'm not hearing any of the songs on my playlist". He just nodded his head. Finally, after dinner when he continued to play crap music, I asked him what was going on. I said that I thought the person I talked to on the phone was going to be my DJ. He said that you are located in Colorado and found him on Craigslist. He said you never game him a playlist. So, what was the point of me having my own "client area" where I could pick out music? I spent hours picking out songs so that people would be sure to have a good time dancing. Instead, people danced to maybe one or two songs and then started leaving early. We all kept looking at each other like "what is up with this guy"? It seemed like it was the first time he had ever worked as a DJ. There are so many DJ's I could have used. What appealed to me was the ability to choose songs online. It seemed foolproof. You really advertise a good game. I feel like I've been taken for a ride. I am demanding to be refunded for every penny I paid. I did not receive the product that was promised to me. Unfortunately, a refund cannot go back in time and make the night a success, but it is the least you can do. The Photo Booth we ordered came with 12 props ...all of which you could have bought for $12 at a dollar store....6 pairs of broken glasses, children props for an adult party....JUST AWFUL. when I asked the HOST about it, she simply said"that's what they gave me...."...and her limited interest went away there. We brought in our own PROPS for the Pictures....I had 4 other Vendors, ALLof which Rocked it. The Booth was supposed to be the STAR....instead it was the party JOKE. ..When I spoke with STEVE the owner....he was like....oops, sorry. Apologized and ignored my calls after. I have done 3 jobs for this shady company and all 3 times there was a problem. First they upset the clients so bad they were harassing me and threatening me because I refused to release the rights to my photos before getting paid overtime. Then the next time they never sent me the client's address to send out their DVD, I ended up dropping it off personally so they'd get their photos in time, I still hadn't been paid by them but the check did come in the mail. They tried to make up for first clients threatening my life because they gave them MY FULL NAME AND PERSONAL INFO. I really did give them the benefit of the doubt. The final time was actually pretty smooth for the client considering how terrible their customer service had been but it took me 4 months to finally get paid!!! AND THEY NEVER PAID ME THE FULL AMOUNT, just a partial BS paypal payment!!! Go with someone local who you can meet in person, if any of these clients had hired me directly they would have paid less for better service. read more

I used Premier Event Services for my Wedding on Monday, 18th. My wedding ceremony and reception were held at The Fountainhead, New Rochelle, New York. I forget how I came upon this industry (throuogh one of my many Bridal Expo's), but I just remember receiving emails from them and finally opening one. I was amazed at the affordable prices listed for the services they provide. I used the Videograghy and Dj Package and the prices was amazing or the two. Steve was my contact person and we spoke pretty regularly, after making fullpayment we began to hear from our videograher who was so pleasent over the phone. The DJ was being a bigger diva than me, not returning calls, being non chalant over the phone, arrivng late... but in the end he gave us top quality service that was specific to our taste. He had a great sound system, wonderful mic, so I decided to forgive him. Overall, I enjoyed my vendors and Steve our coorespondent very much!!!! Everything was fine up until the wedding. The DJ called the wedding coordinator 30 minutes before the ceremony and said he was stuck in traffic at least 45 minutes away. So we had to scramble to come up with microphones and a sound system at the last minute. Not to mention the bride and groom did not get their requested music played at the ceremony. The DJ showed up in a t-shirt and pants. We had requested (on their very thorough online forms) that he be dressed business casual. He set up his equipment quickly and because we had a large room, he was not prepared with speakers and half of the room did not hear anything, no toasts, speeches, announcement of money dance, etc. When the bride and groom were going to start their first dance, they waited on the dance floor while the DJ youtubed the song on his phone. Again....we had completely fill out the online form weeks before. The wedding coordinator gave him a spreadsheet for the timeline and he couldn't read it (his area was too dark) and didn't understand it. I gave them one star only because we were refunded $125 out of the $575. We should have fought for more. The bride is still angry. read more

Horrible! Why did I not read reviews prior to booking?!?!!! The DJ that Premier sent to us was horrible. His equipment was faulty, his mic had tape on it to hold it together. At the wedding he tells our coordinator that he didn't feel comfortable announcing the wedding party so we ended up having a guest do all the mic announcements. He was constantly on his phone talking, texting and taking "self-ies". So unprofessional. For the quality of service we got I could have saved $450.00 and hooked up an iPod with our playlist, that never got used, and have our guest announce..oh wait, we did have a guest announce. What a rip off. I was giving Premier the benefit of the doubt that they just contracted with a bad DJ, but after reading reviews I truly believe that Premier is a horrible business. I sent an email to Steven today and his response was, "Thank you for your email Julie. I am checking into this." No apology...nothing. I will be surprised if I hear anything else from them again. WATCH OUT BUYER BEWARE... I am a DJ that was also sub contracted out to do work for this company. I received a check the day before the wedding and although I have the check I knew something was'nt right. Instead of ruining a couples wedding knowing this check was going to bounce I DJ-ed the wedding anyway.Just as I thought 3 days later NON SUFFICIENT FUNDS THE CHECK BOUNCED AND A $15 check fee. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY OR HIRE A DJ THROUGH THEM. they are crooks i did a DJ gig for them on dec 14th receiving the check on the 16th to have it bounced on the 19th today i found out it was written against an account flagged for no activity nothing in and out IE (closed), but the bank confirmed a second active account. i have already contacted the police then the district attorney. read more

They had clearly never worked with 12 year olds before. The kids were bored and we did not get what we paid for. I requested a bid for DJ's from an event planning website about a month ago. Since then I have received daily emails from premier events selling me their services. On three occasions, I have replied requesting that they stop emailing me. Their reply is always to ignore my email and send another sales pitch. It has gotten to the point where I have file a complaint with the BBB. Avoid premier at all costs. They make TimeWarner Cables Customer Service Agents seem responsive and caring. read more

I booked Premier Event Services for my husbands surprise 60th birthday party. This was a very important event as my husband is stage 4 cancer and Premier Event Services was aware of this. This is an event I can not recreate. My husbands time is limited. I am heartbroken. I rented a large facility on my own. From Premier, I requested a DJ, Special Upgraded Lighting Package, Photo Booth and Videographer. All I got was the DJ. There was a man at the event that said he was a videographer but I have never received the video And I suspect that if he had submitted a video it would be bad as he did not go into the crowd and get "memory" statements as requested, had zero personality and just stood against the wall. I have a feeling he failed to put a memory card in his camera which is why I have no video!!! The owner of the company (Premier) aka "Steve" was all sweet and helpful when it was time to get my credit card info and was quick to charge my card over $2,000 in services and is not crediting me back the difference. All I should have been charged was $450. I have had to endure the expenses relating to disputing the charges via my credit card company. I can not get "Steve" to work with me at all. Also, "Steve" does not even use his real last name. They are out of Boulder Colorado, and Steve uses the last name of Thomas which I have found out to be a false name, it would appear his real last name is Ehrhardt. His associate "Shannon" claims to be sweet and helpful but that does not come to fruition. I strongly urge anyone looking for a vendor to look elsewhere and avoid the heartache and headache I have had to deal with. read more

AWFUL. I was a mistress of ceremony for a wedding who hired this DJ company. Read the bad reviews on here! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Don't let them ruin your day. This DJ showed up an hour late (wasn't like we could say oh no big deal we'll push the reception back an hour, there was a deadline we had to be out of there, so because of him, the reception went from 5 hours to 4 hours). You would think he would be like "I'm so sorry" when he showed up an hour late after calling him the entire hour before he was supposed to arrive with him not picking up the phone. NOPE, he didn't say sorry and was the least bit apologetic for the unprofessionalism. He Ruined all of the introductions of the bridesmaids/groomsmen. The first set of bidesmaids and groomsmen came out half way into the reception to NO MUSIC they had to stop and start all over and ask the DJ to play a song for them. Then played a random song instead of the song the bride and groom requested. THEN the bride and groom came out and he didn't even announce their names or anything!! THE BRIDE AND GROOM. OH WAIT, it gets worse. THEN for the bride and grooms first dance. Halfway through a long blaring 10 minute high pitched screech happened. Mid dance. All of this was caught on video. Of course they refuse to compensate the bride and groom for this awful service. (Like the other reviews on here). ALSO like everyone else stated. He did not play any of the songs from the list of requested songs and was playing he most random stuff and basically was useless peice of garbage. This company was the worst ever. I don't know why I went with them and I regretted it almost immediately. Granted, the website was super easy to use and they had plenty of music options to choose from for the DJ. The company looks like it is based in Boulder, CO, but my wedding was in Vacaville, CA with the DJ being based in Sacramento, CA and I was planning it from Rolla, MO. The contact with the employees was dismal. I messaged them at one point a few months before the wedding to say I needed to get in contact with my DJ to ask a couple questions. They said they would pass my information along and the DJ would be contacting me. No one ever did. When my wedding got closed, I exchanged countless e-mails with their employee India and even spoke to her on the phone about getting me in contact with the DJ. 3 weeks before my wedding I had not even spoken to him, even after telling India to connect me through multiple times. I told her I would not be paying them the remainder of what was owed until they got me in contact with the DJ. She said that was fine and then they charged my card anyways. I called very angry and finally was contacted later that day. The DJ Michael was incompetent to the extreme. He seemed fine while talking to him and he said he had done tons of weddings. During the wedding itself, he lost our First Dance song from his database and we had to awkwardly wait for him to get it downloaded again. He kept trying to speak through the microphone without turning the volume of the music down and no one could hear him. He had to go to tell him what he was doing wrong after he announced the cake cutting 4 times and no one had moved. He played the wrong song for a dedication to my sister and her husband and skipped over quite a few I had requested. I constantly had to go to him and tell him to play a certain song, play the cake cutting, play the first dance...he paid no attention to the timeline at all. He had lost the sheet with my wedding party's names on it and so they each had to tell him their name when he was announcing us to the reception. It was so stressful all night. When the regular dancing started, he was fine because he could just go from song to song. But the actual important planned areas were TERRIBLE! I left a negative review on their feedback area on the website and it has been almost a month since the wedding and they have not even tried to contact me to save face. Save your money and time and go with someone you can meet up with and talk face to face. read more

Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent to the company. Sounds like we are all the victim of the same scam. Do not use this company! Steve - I have left three voice mail messages, and this is my third e-mail to you. The fact that you refuse to respond is an indicator that you know exactly why I am attempting to contact you. It appears that since you already have been paid, customer satisfaction is not one of your priorities. I spent thousands of dollars on an elegant 50th anniversary party for my parents. Everything was absolutely perfect, except for the DJ. Of the dozens and dozens of events I have attended with DJs, this was the worst experience ever. This did not merely involve a bad DJ. That may have been excusable. However, based on the circumstances, I place the blame squarely on Premier Music Source, and your blatant disregard of professionalism and courtesy, and failure to deliver the goods and services promised. I utilized your service because I live out of the area where the party would be and did not have the ability to audition local DJs. I assumed that, as a national referral service, Premier Music Source would have a stable of tried and true DJs to draw from. I also chose your business because of your website, and the ability to create song lists of music that we would like to hear at the party. Before I entered into a contract, I specifically asked you in an e-mail and on the phone if I would be put in touch with my DJ before the event. You told me that you were the DJ. Your written contract indicates that you would be providing the DJ services. Obviously, you were not the DJ, and never intended to be the DJ. So your representations otherwise constitute a misrepresentation and a breach of your contract. I was first contacted by the DJ (Jack) at about noon on the day of the event. This was the first I was put into contact with the actual DJ for the party. While he was prompt and had a professional appearance, I found his services to be lacking. I was unable to use the DJ to make any announcements during the evening. He barely spoke English, and his accent was so thick no one could understand him. I had to ask him at least a half dozen times to turn down the music, as it was blaringly loud, to the point of distortion. I had to continually ask him to play different songs, as he was not playing any of the songs we requested. Despite the fact that it was a 50th anniversary party, early in the evening he launched into Gangsta Rap (while it is a genre I listen to occasionally, neither my parents or my 72-year-old aunt appreciated hearing "n***a" and "mother f***er"). I attempted several times to re-direct him to our requested songs. Many guests approached him to try to get him to change his musical selections. I had to instruct him when to play slow songs versus fast songs. He played many songs that I had never heard. I know music. If he played a song that I didn't know, no one in the room knew it either. To his credit, the DJ (Jack) may have done the best under the circumstances. After the party, he and I had a long conversation. He advised me that, despite the fact that I had entered into a contract with you more than two months before the event, he was not hired until two days before the event. He was not given the song lists we had created, but was told "some of the songs." He was told the function was a graduation party, and that is what he prepared for. He wondered why we kept asking him to play oldies. I retained your services over 2 months in advance. It appears that you simply found someone in the phone book two days before the event. I could have done that, and not paid you 1/3. My mother and I each added music to the songlists your website indicated the DJ would utilize for our event. Our DJ was not given these songlists. Of 120 songs we put on the list, only 13 were played, and I believe that was only a coincidence. I could have made a better playlist on my iPod, and had my 15-year-old son act as DJ, with a much better result. I would expect a good businessman to attempt to rectify this situation and offer me a refund. However, your conduct in handling this transaction, and your refusal to respond to me after the event, speaks volumes about your business practices and your integrity. Your business is a scam. Please be advised that I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I see that you are listed with them in Colorado. I also note that there are many websites that allow reviews of businesses, and have seen many that review Premier Music Source (e.g. wedding planning websites). It is my intention to go to as many of these websites that I can find and give your business the worst possible review. read more

I had a signed contract and paid a deposit and full balance as required prior to event. Spent hours planning the schedule and song lists on the online account. The job wa ssold without my knowledge to another DJ. Apparently Steve had no intention of doing our event as he contacted someone else to do this. Luckily the replancement DJ was ok. Reported to BBB for breach of contract. Premier may be ok for other DJ'S but Steve is using them to scam people. read more

I run a very PROFESSIONAL company here LOCALLY IN GEORGIA, to have to be chasing these guys down in Colorado to get PAID!! I covered a show for them 2 WEEKS ago and still have not received a check, or a call back as to the status of my check! I provided them and the customer with a TOP NOTCH PERFORMANCE, and everyone had a GREAT time....I just want to get PAID! Do not book this company! I was subcontracted by Steven Ehrhardt at Premiere events in December. The Groom paid in full, and the check that Steven gave me bounced. Look them up on the BBB! wow...this place is a joke...i dj'd 2 gigs this month for them..one on december 7th 2013 which when i got the check the day before i cashed it at a check cashing place....the next week i did a gig for them for itt tech christmas party....luckily i got the check the same night and i took it down to the same check cashing place...they told me they couldnt cash the check cause the last one bounced....so i called that pos david from premier and told him i wasnt doing the gig for itt tech....he acted all concerened....long story short i called the people that were having the christmas party and told them i wasnt coming due to the company being fradulent.....they insisted they needed a dj and sadly they had to double pay cause i had to charge them....i have contacted boulder authorities and da...i emailed them and told them i will not stop until i seem them pay for what they did not only to me but other dj's and businesses they ripped off. luckily the check cashing place is working with me and also is pressing charges against them....its not only wrong but they are intrntionally frauding people which is a straight up crime. read more

Please do not use the company premier music source. The night before my wedding at 6pm I received an e-mail from my DJ, Steve Ehrhardt, through this company, saying he would not be able to make it to my wedding. He did not even have the decency or professionalism to call me. I had already paid him in full. I later discovered that Steve is from another state, and that he never had any intention of coming to my wedding and had lead me on for months. Prior to the wedding, he refused to meet in person, but assured me that he would be at my wedding and follow through with our agreement no matter what. Additionally, he was difficult to get a hold of and consistently told me he had tried to return my phone call but my phone did not work...which was clearly not true because nobody else had that issue with calling me. Days prior to the wedding, he called stating he had not received my final payment although the check had already cleared with the bank. He referred me in his e-mail to another DJ, who I had to take the time to get a hold of on my wedding day, who did show up but was not I expected. This company is clearly running a scam, taking peoples money from any state, and cancelling last minute. read more
