They called that morning because someone else had some difficulty and was basically taking up bed space so I had to be moved back. I arrived two hours later, but was kept waiting for nearly two more, until i was asked what I was there for...reminding this person of my name, I was shuttled back for my procedure, and informed I was the "special patient of the day"...so when I woke up in the middle of it I suppose it was because they didn't give me enough to keep me out of it the whole time so that I would leave by 5pm. Once I was barely conscious, they sent me to put on my clothes and showed me the door where my partner was waiting outside. As he helped me into the car, I saw the woman "helping" me rushing to hers...it was 5:20. When I returned for a followup with a nurse, I was kept waiting for 45 minutes. When I got back to see her, she said no one had told her I was there. Two months after my procedure, I received an automated call to verify my followup appointment. One which I had never scheduled. I received a single sheet of paper in the mail from them; basic blood testing requests and a minimal diagnosis...one that was different from what the pathology report suggested. I ignored it, as I had those same labs done as a routine with my PCP. The odd thing was that it was dated a month after my procedure, and postmarked a month after that! What is wrong with this office? Avoid at ALL costs.

Now my second colonoscopy was performed at the Sutter Health Surgery Center in Modesto on July 17, 2024. The Hospital's staff and the wonderful Dr. Vida Chen, a Gastroenterologist are "ALL SUPERIOR / FIVE STARS RATING" members of the medical field!! My wife and I NEVER in our 65 years of existence, ever met such a loving, caring, keen listeners, attentive, accommodating Doctor, or Hospital staff members ever before!! It was like we entered the fictional "Leave It To Beaver" Hospital zone, where EVERYONE is so sweet, and caring, something we NEVER experienced in the Bay Area or at any Peninsula Hospitals! The first 16 oz dose of the Suprep mixture, and the following two 16 oz doses of cold water made me so nausea! The second go around at 4 am the following morning wasn't as bad, and my stomach calmed down by the time I had to head to the Sutter Health Surgery Center. Upon entering the Sutter Health Surgery Center, and engaging with the delightful staff, a calmness flowed over my anxiety.
