That is FALSE. The website for this community states they have partnered with Patriot Angels. How is this possible when this community does not meet the requirement of a Protective Environment? The community does not have 24-hour Security personnel. This community is not staffed 24-hours a day. I feel the website is misleading, untrue and is guilty of false advertising. If you are considering moving into this community and seeking assistance from the VA, beware and think twice as your application will not be approved. As to the living conditions ... My parents dealt with a non-functioning bath tub for 3 weeks. The unit that my parents moved into had been vacant for at least 30 days and in my observation, nothing had been done to inspect the unit or ensure things were functional before they moved in. My parents have reported the housekeeping service which is included in the rent is beyond POOR. In the 8 weeks that my parents have been residents here, they have seen the housekeeper twice. If not mistaken, the apartments are to be lightly cleaned once a week with a heavy cleaning once a month, Lastly, the dining service is a hit or miss. Meals are not served on schedule. On more than one occasion, it has taken 1 1/2 hours to be served. I have also been alerted to the fact that the residents may not ask for any substitutions. It is a take it or leave it kinda of service. As such, my parents find themself skipping many meals and buying groceries. This defeats the whole purpose of moving into a community that provides 3 meals per day. It certainly doesn't help reduce expenses. I have also heard that the dining room staff is not very nice.

This is the absolute worst assisted living facility I've ever worked at and I've worked for…read moreseveral! The staff is very under paid, the lowest pay around! And here, you do way more work for less pay. Caregivers have to be the caregiver, cook, housekeeper, laundry aid... you name it, you will do it all and for only $10/hr! To start, I was scheduled for an interview, when I got there, the maintenance guy let me in and said the ED would be with me. I sat there for almost 30 minutes and she never came out until I walked out, got in my car and was about to leave. She came outside to stop me. I should've left! This was not a typical interview, she only talked about her staff members talking about her and she's the boss and she spoke of the drama there. I should have listened to all of the red flags! I was told I would do 6a-2p because she had one spot for that shift. My schedule was so unorganized and they just bounced me around like a floater. The ED (Robin) comes off to be nice but she is NOT! She's very rude and disrespectful to all staff. She made me do laundry for a resident in the opposite building that I was working in when I was already caring for 8 residents in my building and they had staff in that building. On my 3rd day working there, (still in training) I was left alone with all residents while everyone went to get food. The ED, Med Supervisor and the maintenance/ activity coordinator all left me alone for about 30 minutes and then came back and ate their lunch for about 30 minutes while I worked alone and I never even got a break that day. The Ed called the police on one staff because she stood up for herself when the ED told her to shut up. The ED accused me of coming back to the facility and hiding a bag of fish for it to ruin when I have proof of being out of town! When I heard about it from staff that my name was being lied on, I replied to a text in the group chat, after Robin posted it, and cleared my name... she replied to me in the group chat and then texted me privately and threatened to file harassment charges on me when she was the one texting me, slandering my name to current and agency staff. The ED is also very prejudice towards black staff and residents who are black. White residents get cake for their birthday but black residents do not. There is a review on here from one of the residents, if he made this review, he was asked and coached on what to say. He says in his review that the food is good but he complained about the food daily. All residents told me they only chose this place because it was the cheapest place in town.My wish is for all residents who live there to get placed somewhere else and for this place to be shut down. Not only is the staff being mistreated but most importantly, the residents are not getting the care they need. They were all sick when I was there a few weeks ago. A couple of residents has passed away and others are declining rapidly. The incompetent residents are always soaking wet. The hospice aid had to complain. They only care for the residents when their family comes around. The residents doesn't wear pendants neither do they have call buttons. I've walked in rooms and saw residents on the floor with no way to call for help. I called the med aide, she was supposed to check vitals before moving the resident but just laughed and got her up. If you don't just randomly check on the resident, there's no way of knowing if they need help or not. Please if you go to work here... look out for the residents. They really need someone to care for them. If you just need a job then I understand but if you can get another job, please do! DO NOT WORK HERE!!! You'll thank me later. I quit because I just could not be a part of this horrible place anymore!
