Absolutely horrible place from my experience... told them my son needed an evaluation since he was…read morean adult and all his life he has been autistic but all other doctors opened the doors and allowed the parents to come share experience so they can understand how he answers and what he hears. My son poof just over night as per this Dr he is no longer autistic and can live a mainstream life all from 1 hour of a talk ... this man that can't function well in society if he even goes and can't take care of his self on daily needs... but she decided because she had school debt and a piece of paper showing she studied that she knew everything about this man... tried to talk to her but she is always "too busy" leaving her office staff to talk and they are some of the rudest people... wasn't until after I was ignored and blown off before I got upset but they don't care.. I will be getting another evaluation done by another doctor because I wouldn't trust this office to treat a rat in a lab ..

This is the most unprofessional place! They cancel your appointments constantly, and half the time…read morethey don't even tell you until you've gotten there!! Very inconsiderate. Also, when they cancel, they don't even offer to reschedule. They just expect you to skip that week's session and wait til next week. THESE sessions are very important to someone's well being! They don't seem to care about patients!

Oceans Behavioral Hospital is making a difference in East Texas, thanks to CEO Vern Rennier and the…read moreteam he has assembled. Marketing Director Sharron, who is a nurse and MBA, shares Vern's dedication to helping those in need of intervention and treatment. Vern is a U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He knows first-hand about the need for access to rehabilitation. Besides the treatment they offer, Oceans' employees are heavily involved in the community, particularly in the support of veterans services. Whether at their facility or out in the community, their team rolls up their sleeves and digs in to find solutions for each individual who comes their way. I have not used their services, I was not compensated at all for this review. I have observed them in several settings in the community and see they have the expertise and the desire to truly help people who often suffer in silence.

MISTREATMENT. SEXUAL ASSAULT. DENIED MEDICAL TREATMENT. NEGLIGENCE. I was admitted here last year…read morefor 10 days. this was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I was admitted with a broken leg that was broke 2 days before being admitted. I had a full leg brace, crutches and was on pain medications. Before they put me in with the rest of the patients I had to remove the brace and give up my crutches. Hospital ER Physician had instructed me not to put any weight on my leg nor remove the brace and see an orthoptic Doctor as soon as possible. So no brace and no crutches. I was given on over sized wheel chair to get around. My arms could barely reach both sides of the chair at the same time. The room I was given was at the very end of the hall. I was not given my pain medication as prescribed my the ER Physician that I saw two days prior. I had major back surgery less than a year from this time. So I was in pain with the broken leg and my back from trying to wheel myself down the hallway every time it was meal time or to attend a class or watch TV. I was also SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by another patient on several occasions. Nurses and Techs had to come in my room some times several times to remove the man out of my room. He would tell me things he was going to do to me while I was screaming for help. This happened at all hours day and night. I could not sleep. I was scared to death for my safety. They would drag him out of my room fighting with him. He physically put his hands on me once. They told me and a family member on the 2nd day I was there that someone would be at my door to make sure he did not come back. The 2 nights after that there was somebody at my door. But then the tech was off and nobody watched out of me. I woke up a few times with him standing on the side of my bed once exposing his genitals to me. After this happened I requested to leave and was told no but I was in fear for my life. I was then told he was under 24 hour supervision. That was a joke. He harassed me in the TV room/eating area. They watched him turn his chair and stair at me. He came to the table I was eating at and smashed my food with his hands. I had two other male patients jump up to try and protect me. This continued my entire stay. The techs sit around and make jokes and text back in forth laughing at the patients. Which was very unprofessional. The nurses were a joke. I had a bright red infection with fever on my leg. Two nurses came to look at it, and they acted like it was nothing. It was very painful, on top of the pain from my broken leg. The infection was diagnosed by a MEDICAL PHYSICAN after I was released. Upon my discharge I requested a meeting with the CEO. Only to show up and him not be there. I met with the Assistant to the CEO. He took notes and said they would be in touch. Never heard back. I spoke to the Grievance Officer twice and left message after message. My messages went unanswered as I later found out she was on medical leave. Two months later I was told she was no longer employed there. Finally got someone's attention and was instructed to write a letter to them with everything that happed to me. The exact same information I provided to the CEO Assistant a few days after I was discharged. I received a letter from them requesting time for them to investigate. Waited a few months never heard or received anything from them. I called two weeks ago and the CEO Assistant stated their findings would be mailed to me by the end of the week. Two weeks later never received anything. Called him and left a message. Call not returned. i Called again today and he laughed it off stating he forgot and that they could not find anything in the investigation. What I experienced and witnessed while I was in this facility was horrible. I requested medical assistance and was told they are not that kind of hospital. I requested EMS and was refused. They do not care about the patients they are legally entrusted with. I intentionally left out "NAMES" but will follow up as soon as I can obtain LEGAL COUNSEL. OCEANS BEHAVIORAL HOSPITAL DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE A SINGLE STAR RATING BUT THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW A ZERO.
