The only grumble is a lack of parking. There's a multi storey over the road but it is usually full of shoppers during the day. If you can afford to visit, why not get the chauffeur to drive round the block a few times? Job done.

Attention to detail is superb from the free loan of CDs for the rom, through the fresh coffee, through the attentiveness of the staff at every opportunity. Breakfast is good - Continental or full English (including the oft forgotten kippers and so on). Compared to many HdV's the dining room here is small but it still retains the charm that HdV have fought so hard to recreate. The little bar is a gem - cosy leather furniture, glass in hand, cigar from the selection. perfection!

I like that this hotel has a special route to go to the O2 arena which was where I was working. The only issue I had here was trying to get ice. There no ice machine in the hotel and I went to ask the worker at the check in desk. They said someone from room service will bring it up to me.

We didn't have access to a fridge and didn't have phone service in the room, but we didn't mind as other amenities and service in the room sort of canceled all of the negatives. It was humid this time of year in June and we walked a lot. The shower water pressure is so powerful here nothing else matters to me at this point. They offer 2 restaurants. Hubby and I shared a lunch meal at the Meridian restaurant. The service was on point and the food was a delight. We also had dinner at the Market Brasserie in the second floor after a few days of drooling on their grilled squid and it certainly didn't disappoint! Later, we spent time at their upscale bar the Clipper, sipped some custom cocktail and wine while enjoying the beautiful views this property has to offer. Hubby and I logged some serious steps this trip but didn't miss a day of circuit training (weights + Machines) first thing in the AM in their fully equipped and spacious gym. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the spa service. Finally, I want to give praise to the amazing staff here - from concierge, front desk, restaurant staff and Attila, the Night Manager who was more than accommodating, especially at the end of our trip when I thought I lost my iPhone (was a major heart attack moment for me!) and made sure we had an epic stay for our first trip to London.

This recently renovated hotel located in the quiet neighborhood of Senvenoaks, just 28 minutes south of London by train, offered a clean, quiet and comfortable facility. The room was modern and the bed heavenly. All in the details: the bathroom had all the toiletries you might need, the rain shower was delightful, the illuminated 3x mirror a treat, and the big highlight was the activity panel (see picture) which gave the hotel staff information about your needs. From the inside of your room, you could electronically instruct the personnel that you were either sleeping, needing room service or attention. The room had 2 free bottles of water, a tea pot with a variety of tea options, and some cookies. All complimentary. Although the room had a safe, it did not have a mini bar. Breakfast was generally good and offered a variety of different things to choose from. Drawbacks: Some of the front desk staff was not very friendly and the wifi did not work well at times, making your work slow and frustrating. Also, the average age of the clientele must have been 80! All that being said, I would definitely choose this hotel if my business journey ever brings me back to this area.

The massage really set me off on a good note and I was looking forward to the rest of the stay. However, this is really were the good things about our stay ended. The room we got, which was booked as a double premium suite was no where near what we would have expected for the rate we paid. The room was in the eaves and quite a bit cramped. As I am more so on the taller side, this was clearly going to lead to a few head bumps. Fortunately, those we amazingly avoided. That left us with the evening ahead. Unimpressed by the restaurants menu and high price, we set out down the road for the Pantiles and found a great couple of places. After returning and settling down for the evening, things really turned for worse. The air conditioner made noises every 30 minutes or so when it wasn't on that would wake you up. The bed was exceptionally small and only fit two people if one lay sideways. The ability to properly sleep in these conditions was just unachievable. After a very rough night and lack of sleep, the relaxing feeling that I had was long gone and replaced with extreme tiredness and plenty of soreness. We are exceptionally disappointed with what can only be referred to a terrible stay. This hotel really had the opportunity to be top notch, but it severely missed the target. Don't think we would likely stay here again.

However I stayed here because the hotel pricing over at the exhibition center Ex Cel was very very high. Easily 120 pounds more then staying here. A 27 pound Uber ride meant staying here was more than a bargain. The food was good the bartenders great and pricing much lower than at the show center. My room was large with a real king bed. The staff here is great and they were always ready will and able to help. If I am ever back in the area or doing another show at Excel I will be here!

Front desk staff was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping was quick when we needed a crib and even did turndown service and put Dolly up for bed (see photo). Bedroom was large but bathroom shower really needed repair and had cracks (no photos as our alarm didn't go off and we rushed out). Had drinks at the bar which was nice. You can walk to town easily and enjoy shopping and food.
