What I love most about the atmosphere is that you don't have to be anything but yourself and you don't have to be a fitness expert. There are so many different fitness levels, ages and backgrounds of people that are working on themselves for their own reasons and goals. I enjoy how each session is different from the last and the class sizes are just perfect; some days there are 2/3 of us and other times a group of 10/11. It is more strenuous and demanding than what I'm doing in Michigan. As a result, I feel stronger. If I am unable to do an exercise, the trainers will modify it or have me do something else. All without shaming or calling attention to me. Raw offers RSB four days a week. My original plan was to do days, so we paid for eight lessons. I feel so good and energized that I want to go to every class until I leave for Michigan on March 1.

And that's the only uniform you need. You don't need to buy any additional equipment, and there aren't various marketing strategies employed against you. This is not a training center that promotes you every promotion. I'm sorry to say, but my son's class was supposed to test for belt promotion and they were denied because many students didn't show up in the correct uniform. The students must wait until their sensei schedules another testing opportunity. They have a smoothie bar inside, i haven't tried it yet. My son enjoys their training program very much. I enjoy their friendliness and lack of continued marketing tactics. The price is reasonable.

The girls have had the privilege of being instructed by Mr. Neves, Mr. Garcia and Mr. Guerrero. They are awesome instructors and people. They truly care about the students and their progress. And they're great about giving corrections and critiques in a constructive, positive way. The training is not only instructional but also fun. The training they receive is not just self defense and technique but also life lessons. They're tasked with "homework" related to self discipline, team work, etc. Belt testing is signed off by parents and their teacher. That way the students are held accountable for their eligibility to test for their next belt.
