DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I was lied to by Carport Central…read more I should have read through their reviews first. Apparently they're subcontracted installation crews do a decent job, but as far as everything else it was a disaster. They coerce you into signing a document agreeing to a non refundable deposit. When I expressed that I was uncomfortable with this, a salesman Joshua Gomez, assured me that if my Township denies the plans for the structure that my $3,500 deposit would be refunded in full. Sadly I took him on his word. It was a bold faced lie. Carport Central had no intentions of refunding any money to me. Their design is flawed and my township denied the plans due to the structures anchoring system and lack of information provided. Carport central pretty much subs out everything, ie installation and architectural planning. I spent months trying to talk to the architectural company they use with no help from Carport Central, in efforts of getting the proper specifications that my township required. Carport Central, nor any of the entities they are affiliated with, could provide the details needed. As a result, the plans were officially denied in writing by my Township. Even though I have text messages between Gomez and I eluding to the fact that we agreed on a refund. Carport Central, went back on their word, even though it is illegal for me to install their unit on my property, and even though we are not conducting any business together. This is obviously a civil matter, and we will be going into litigation shortly, but they are really skirting the lines of a criminal nature with deceptive business practice. This is not the first time nor the last time this company has done this to a potential customer. They have a whole system in place to defraud people out of their money because they know they have a product that does not meet certain standards. Buyer Beware!

My review to express my disappointment regarding the condition of the home I recently rented…read morethrough Invitation Homes at Olive Coast Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. During the onboarding and move-in inspection process, several items were identified that required repair or attention. Although my lease began in April and rent was paid for that month, I did not move into the property until May. Given that the property was vacant during that time, I reasonably expected that the identified issues would have been addressed before my move-in date. Unfortunately, when I moved into the home, many of the outstanding items had not been completed. As a result, I was required to take time away from work shortly after moving in to accommodate maintenance visits and repairs that could have been completed before occupancy. As a tenant, I believe it is reasonable to expect that a home is move-in ready at the start of the tenancy, particularly when concerns have already been documented and there was ample time to address them before occupancy. The inconvenience of coordinating repairs after moving in, combined with the need to miss work, has been frustrating and disruptive. I paid rent beginning in April, and I believe the property should have been inspected and prepared for occupancy before my move-in date. Instead, I was left dealing with issues that had already been identified, causing unnecessary inconvenience during what should have been a smooth transition into my new home. I respectfully request that Invitation Homes review this matter and consider an appropriate accommodation for the inconvenience and time I lost from work while facilitating repairs. I would appreciate a prompt response outlining how these concerns will be addressed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Cheryl Ann Snyder-Samuel Charlotte, NC

Do not trust this company. They are not trust wordy. Way overpriced. Don't do work as promised…read more And hungry for money. I contacted Gutter Guards America to replace a damaged downspout, possibly replace a gutter if damaged, clean out the rest of the gutters, and install leaf guards for the gutters. An employee to do the assessment arrived, examined my property, and quoted just under 4000 USD for the job and an appointment was scheduled for 2pm. Though, the date of the appointment wasn't clear as the employee wrote down "Install Wed March 3rd Afternoon"...which is a Sunday. But, at least, the "afternoon" part is unmistakable. And, I requested that the employee doing the assessment would be present while the work is done. On the 5th, I get woken up at 7:45am by a phone call from a Charlotte phone number saying that the contractors were arriving soon. I replied with how I didn't want anyone here that early, as that is not the time for which my appointment was scheduled. Around 8:30am, two contractors from Gutter Guards America arrived anyway and, without exchanging a word, started working on my property. There was a significant language barrier as one didn't speak English and the other communicated the best that he could, but that did get straightened out after discussion with the company itself. To give credit where it's due, the workers were quite diligent...though, the problem is that only half of the quoted work was done. The gutters were cleaned, though the contents of the gutters were just dumped onto my deck. And the leaf guards were installed. However, the other tasks went unaddressed. I was later contacted with a bill through an email for the original price, despite the work not being completed. Later, the employee doing the assessment sat parked outside of my property for about 45 minutes while blowing up my phone, claiming that I signed a contract and he's here to collect. Later, I was contacted by the company itself to whom I said that I signed no contract and demanded that the rest of the rest of the work gets completed. That has yet to get addressed.

I still installed about 80% of them because I needed to get my roof on. The remaining panels that were scratched down to the metal I took back only to be insulted by the rude manager who proceeded to blame me for damaging during transport (before she even had a chance to see the panels.......she accused me of "damage by transport" literally over the phone!) The panels were transported flat on a utility trailer, and properly handled. The rake trim and ridge cap were badly gouged as well when I unpacked them many scratches down to the bare metal! This company cost me far too much time and money, as well as having a manger who was the rudest, most dishonest individual I have ever dealt with. They did replace all the panels over a two month period, but continued to be insulting, blaming me, and refusing to admit responsibility for their poor quality control. The whole theme to this experience was poor quality control and poor management. The whole facility is dusty and dirty. They store their coils on the bare floor instead of on pallets or carpet scraps causing scratched, gouged, and damaged material. The drip edge was different dimensions and badly scratched and gouged. ALL panels were over an 1/8 inch off of square on a roughly 17" span (unacceptable for metal roofing). They gave me nothing but excuses, making insulting staements like "you are the only one we have problems with", and "black scratches easily", and "we can't get it perfectly square, because it stretches". Unless you have and endless amount of money and time to waste, avoid this place!
